We enjoyed our stay at Fairway Villas - unit J-2. There is a King bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the other bedroom. The beds were very comfortable and appeared to be recently purchased. The island floral arrangements, and koa bowl on the sofa table add to the island decor of this condo. The added wireless internet was much appreciated. The golf course and lake view make this condo location very desirable. We will request J-2 again! Mahalo.

We stayed in N32 which provided absolutely everything our family needed. Beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, boogie board, and lots of towels. The complex was very quiet and peaceful. Quite central and close to shopping and good restaurants. We would definitely stay in this unit/complex again without hesitation! We went to A'Bay, Hapuna, and Mauna Kea beaches and recommend all of them for children. Shop at Costco to save a bit on groceries.

We had a great time in Waikoloa, and our condo was wonderful. It wasn't the cleanest, and maid service was slow, but we didn't care. The hot tub and pool were great. The rec director was pushy. The people we met were ok to talk to, but some were snobs. They were from LA. We met some friendly people from Chicago by the pool. But not too many Canadians here either, eh. We were told in reviews we read not to rent units E-33, E-3, and J-2 because they had bad snells and dirt, so we didn't. But no one we met complained about their units so we can't be sure. Our place turned out fine. The grass cutting guys start at 4:00am and the lawn mowers are very noisy when they go near the unit. We walked all over the area and found that everything we needed to buy was no more than 5 min. away. It was nice, and the beach was perfect. We honestly would come back in spite of a few trivial negatives. Welland,Ont.

My friends and I traveled to Kona during mid-May and stayed at the Outrigger Fairway Villas. We chose a three bedroom condo (Unit A-4) and had no issues at all. The unit was very well decorated and closely matched the pictures displayed on the website. One of the nice aspects was that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen was adequately stocked with cooking equipment for use. This was great a benefit since we could prepare meals and avoid eating out every meal. (Food and restaurant prices are somehat expensive on the island.) The grounds of the property are well maintained. The property is located next to the golf course and a petroglyph field. This created a nice contrast in scenary. There are nice walking trails throughtout the complex and to the local shopping center. The shopping center features a general store along with several "high-end" clothing, jewelry stores and restaurants. The Queens Marketplace is also within walking distance and features more stores and a somewhat disappointing food court. The property is located within the Waikoloa resort which features several other major complexes and hotels within walking distance. I highly recommend visiting the Hilton Waikoloa Village to see the facility. The sunsets are well worth it as well as the on-site boat tour. There is no charge to ride either the boats or tram that travel throughout the complex. Overall, our group had no issues or regrets in choosing the Outrigger Fairway Villas. It is was one of the nicest "timeshare/condo" style properties that I have ever visited.

Nice place to stay. Very clean. We were assigned a parking space but it was taken by somebody else and had to complain. The office from where we collected the keys were at a different place and it was inconvenient (esp if you have kids). The place as such was very nice.

Room K-3 carpet needs to be replaced or at least shampoo. Staff come to the unit everyday just to exchange the towels, but not cleaning. Furnitures and decors are out of date. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am, but goft cart and mowing lawn are running at 5 AM. Don't loose the room key or you will get charged for 100/each. Pool towel are not replenished during the stay and a charge will apply if not returned to your room. Two upscales shopping malls within walking distance, very expensive dining. Waikola beach is nearby, with snorkel gear rentals, great for kids.Wouldn't come back to this hotel.

The particular condo that we stayed in had been outfitted by the owners with everything imaginable to make it a home away from home. There were boogie boards, beach mats, books to read and dvds to watch. The kitchen was very well equipped and had a beautiful fridge with an icemaker-water dispenser that we all used a lot. The air conditioning could be set separately for every room except the bathrooms by remote control. We did need it because we were there in August and it was in the high 80's every day. The decor and linens were all high quality and I particularly loved the matching rattan furniture which even included a table and chairs on the lanai. Our unit was on the second floor overlooking the golf course and manmade lake. It meant a lot to me that we did not see one bug in the unit during our stay. The grounds were also beautifully kept. During our stay we saw the most beautiful fiery red sunsets I have ever witnessed. There was some haziness at times late in the day due to the vog, but the air was noticeably much worse closer to Kona. The only negative comment I could make is that the pool area has limited poolside space due to it being an infinity pool. There are no tables with umbrellas and the trees by the pool don't provide enough shade in the hottest part of the day.

we just absolutely loved our place. Our unit was spacious and comfortable and private. We went into the hot tub every night and cooked steaks on the outdoor grills almost daily. It was a pleasure to stay there and we plan to return. The proximity to the beach and shopping is great. We recommend it. Room service is a little sloppy but its no big deal. The units are there to enjoy.

Unit J-2 is cheaply and scantily furnished. Uncomfortable and tiny beds. Scanty cooking equipment and/or beat up. Noise level in unit is unacceptable. DO NOT STAY HERE!

THe Outrigger Fairway Villas was a very nice condo with all of the amenties to take a family. The rooms were fairly large and there was more than enough adequate space for a family of 5 or 6. There was shopping and restaurants within walking distance. There is a pool and fitness center on the property and in very close proximity. There was also a golf course within walking distance.

J-2 is poorly furnished, beds are uncomfortable, few pots/pans, tiny tv; loud noises from upstairs very late and mowing on golf course before 5 a.m. made for miserable nights along with lousy beds!

This condominium was much bigger than we expected. The kitchen was well equiped with granite countertops. And the bathrooms were very large. This was a convenient place to stay for a young family (with infant) who need a kitchen to prepare meals and do not have the convenience to go out to dinner for every meal. We loved the size. After staying at this place, we will certainly look into staying at condominiums for our future vacations.

Room was not cleaned before we got there. There was clothes in the dryer and water bottles and food laying around. The units themselves were nice but not what was pictured on travelocity. You are close to two nice beaches and two shopping centers. We had a great time. There was no instruction on how to pick up your key in the Kings Shops. It is a gated community so it was frustrating not to know what to do. Make sure you take the phone number with you so you can call for instructions

"Nice get away, away from everything, yet a small shopping center nearby for necessities, beautiful beach walking distance"

"This is a very nice facility. Condo's are beautiful, clean and updated. Located right next to Kings Shops ( upscale Mall). The best beached are close by. Restaurants are pricey in the Mall. Try Cafe Pesto about 10 miles North moderately priced (for Hawaii) and our dinner was very good.Only thing lacking was the gym needs new equipment and our A/C was a little on the noisy side. We would definitely stay here again."

"We got a 2BR/2BA condo a Outrigger Fairway for three nights. It was great! Spacious rooms, huge master bath, full kitchen area. Apartment opened to the golf course with a great view of Mauna Kea and the Observatories. Great area for viewing the stars laying on the grass right outside the door! Far enough from the noise and traffic at Kona and beautiful part of the Big Island. Would use them again in a heartbeat. Very close to shopping, restaurants, and the beach!"

We had a great time at the Fairway Villas. Even our kids loved the townhome. Clean and updated. Great swimming and snorkeling at Mauna Kea Beach. Dining at Waikoloa expensive. Kona had more options and fun at night even for kids. Try Killer Tacos in Kona & Kona Brewing Co for pizza. We would stay at Fairways again!

Excellent location. Beautiful grounds and lovely accomodations. Convenient to one of the best beaches on the Island and everything we needed including scuba. Definatly plan to stay at the Fairway Villas on our next visit.
