Great place to stay. Very close to front street. The room has everything that we need.
Date of Stay:
February, 2008
The hotel recently renovated the rooms and pool areas. Customer service was very inconsistent from front desk, management and housekeeping. Do not reserve a garden studio. The bed is arranged sideways to make the room look larger. Bottom line if two people are using the bed the person sleeping next to the wall must always climb over the other person. The one-bedroom rooms are spacious and have many amenities.

very nice hotel with great accomodations, the only problem is the fact that some rooms are situated very near of the road, and are bery noisy during the night....

Super friendly check in. Make sure to get a room that is not on the highway-side of the complex (too much road noise). We stayed there March 4-6 2009 and the entire complex was recently and beautifully refurbished. IIt looks to be the nicest accomodations in Lahaina. One can certainly get moe upscale accomodations on Maui, but this one is walking distance to the historical sites, restaurants, shops, and galleries of Lahaina. Small gripes, though: The AC unit in the living room was exceedingly noisy. The maintenance folks did not have a replacement unit and repairing the unit could have not been done until after our stay was over. This is likely a problem unique the one unit and not the complex as a whole. The sofa sleeper mattress, like most sofa sleeper mattresses, was terrible. Overall, a nice condo-hotel in a great location.

The condo was nice enough to live in with a full kitchen, tiled walk-in shower, and plasma tv. The washer and dryer was a godsend and allowed us to pack lighter than usual, although there was plenty of closet and stow-away space in the condo. Sure, it wasn't ocean-front property, but we were within easy walking distance of the ocean and Front Street restaurants and attractions. The pools and grounds were like a crazy fantasy paradise dream come true. Our only complaints were 15/night parking when the lot was never more than 25% full. Also, one of our air-conditioning units wasn't putting out very cool air. This probably would have been a quick fix if we had complained, but open windows were usually enough anyway. Loved it!

We had reserved a suite but when we got there, they upgraded us to a one bedroom at no extra cost. It was on the second floor next to the main hwy and the road traffic was a bit noisy, but it wasn't like we were going to stay all day in the room. The kitchen was fully furnished (even a blender), the bathroom was large and newly tiled. Except for one day getting short on towels, it was a great experience. $15.00 a day for parking is a bit much.

Very nice, everything was clean and newly updated. New pool area was wonderful. Walking distance to Lahaina shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was very nice. Clean and newly remodeled. The new pool area was wonderful. Walking distance to Lahaina shops. Not on the beach, but the pool (although not very large) was very nice - like out of Style Magazine with Tiki torches lit up at night.

Just returned from Maui this week, have been there before and stayed in another town with an ocean view. Didn't need to do that again. Very nice relaxing vacation with no pressure to do any standardized tours. Had a car but did not need to use it every day. 2 short blocks to Front street. No gym, but it was very nice getting up early and taking a walk in town. Went with my mother, sister and daughter after a conference on Oahu which is like being in New York City. Some cheap and good places to eat, and if you feel the need some expensive place too. Ate right around the corner the first nigh at Penne Pasta (ate there 2 nights), and Aloha mixed plate- I had Coconut Prawns and a Mai Tai. Went back the next early evening for Happy Hour, 2-6 Mia Tai's 3.00. Then went to the Oyster Bar & Grill , rooftop restaurant, very expensive but very good seafood and worth one realllllly nice meal. Would highly recommend Aina Nalu as someone did to me. Aloha! Was traveling with a person in a wheel chair and did fine at the hotel.

Loved that the Aina Nalu is so close to Front Street, but the studio condo I stayed in did not have a stove which made us spend more money eating out. The little kitchenette area was infested with ants, and our sheets were not changed once during a 11 day/10 night stay. (I monitored this because the sheets we were given had a black spot on it, so I would be able to tell that they were changed) You may get a better room. The staff was friendly and common areas (pools, etc.) were nicer than my room!

Beautiful rooms, beautiful grounds and location close to everything. Never really had a porter available, however the front desk person delivered our bags, but I brought our bags to the front when we were leaving. The grounds are just beautiful. Very cozy hotel as far as size. The room that we had was beautiful and would recommend this hotel. The front desk person was very nice and helpful.

beautiful condo style, with 3 boys we saved a bundle on eating in.. miss the poi at safeway, we parked on the street to save more $$ only yucky part are the ants, even after they sprayed, more ants came out...overall, it's a great value with nice updates perfect for large families, especially w/ washer and dryer

The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of Lahaina, you can walk easily anywhere in the city. The renovations are astounding, we stayed many yrs ago and the improvements are IMPECCABLE! The most comfortable bed, beautiful kitchen and washer and dryer, didn't need to pack much. Service was top notch, no surprises or disappointments, there is a travelocity on the premesis to make your arrangements for activities. Will stay again, and already told many of our friends.

Excellent location, within walking distance of everything. Great restaurants!!

The location was good. It was nice to be within walking distance of shops and restaurants. You had to pay for standard things such as parking and coffee. Good location, but the rooms could use some updating. The pull out couch was very uncomfortable and the air conditioning wouldn't work properly. There were also some amenities that should be included but cost extra such as parking and coffee.

Had a great stay at this hotel, nice pool with cabanas and large gathering area by the poolside. This is a smaller 2 story hotel so dont expect amenities like the big Hotels. No beach to walk to but town is a short stroll and beaches are a short drive. Be prepared to pay * per day for parking which I thought was pretty cheesy to tag on. We had a great 7 nites here.

the location is great...we were able to walk a lot of places without having to pay extra for parking...one thing i would suggest is that the resort put the parking fee in plain view so the customers know about it in advance. when we checked in, we were informed that parking would be * per day...when we checked out, we were charged for * per day which ended up being * more than what we were told...and the front desk just said that prices change every once in awhile...but we were not informed when they changed. that made us a little upset. other than that, the pool area was great and relaxing. also the consierge was very helpful in scheduling things for us to do. the housekeeping staff was so kind and had fresh towels and cleaned our dirty dishes even...and if we were there they would kindly come back when we weren't. when we return to hawaii we will not be staying here again, simply because of cost and hidden fees.

I was quite surprised by the awesome interior of the rooms and how spotlessly clean it was. Walked a block over to Lahaina Front Street. Everything is within walking distance. Many, many shops and restaurants to choose from. Everyone is so friendly. I would definitely do this again!

Very convenient location. The rooms were a little dingy. Kaanapali would be a better choice of towns. The employees were nice, but my sheets were dirty. Housekeeping came everyday but they must not change everything. I am neither disappointed nor excited. However the area is very personal and the people are friendly. I do not consider myself an avid hotel roomy. Not a bad value though if you only sleep there.

This was my first time in Hawaii and my family and I stayed at Aina Nalu and loved it! I never write reviews but I had to come back and write on our experience on this hotel. First, the grounds were absolutely beautiful. Very pictureque and the pool!!! Wow, very nice, warm, inviting water. It felt like silk to the skin. The rooms were awesome, all updated and very nice with a kitchette so we were able to save money by eating in the room at times. I just really enjoyed the stay here and will come back to it. The location was not on the beach, but just a walk to downtown. So it's what you prefer. But I would recommend it to my friends and family for sure.
