since the new owners of the hotel, you would think that remodeling would be done. The hotel is very dirty and housekeeping department is worse. The front desk are very clueless and they don't dress professionly. When I the room was very dirty, hair in the sink, toilet, you name it, when i went the front desk to tell them the girl working (no Name Tag) was like "so what would you like me to do" then the Owner came up and said we will fix the problem, never got fixed.

The hotel billed my credit card after I had paid the bill in cash causing incredible problems with my bank! Also our room door had been previously kicked in and wouldn't lock properly. When I called their accounting dept. to discuss my double charging situation i was hung up on!! I wouldn't stay there for free!!!

Stayed only 1 of 2 nights. Room was dirty, completely run down. Well past its prime.

No toilet paper, three towels and 2 wash cloths for four people, worn out bathroom fixtures. Used the public restroom down the hall and it was filthy, looked like it hadn't been cleaned for several days. Needless to say I wasn't too impressed and would not recommend this hotel--I now understand why this hotel still had rooms available when most of the others in the area were sold out.

Needed a room for the night - staff was very friendly, but the place was pretty run down by my standards. Lounge and restaurant close, carpets nasty, no real amenities.

I guess "you get what you pay for". I booked this room through hotwire (which rated it as a 2.5-3 star...NOT), and found out when we arrived that I paid 10 more per night than the hotel was normally charging. We paid 50 per night (it was off-season), which I thought was a steal, but when I saw the place I knew why. We figured it was "okay" for the price, but I would not have paid any more for it. We knew we would be spending very little time in the room, so as long as it was clean, it would do.They have signs around saying that they are renovating, but I saw few signs of that. The hotel had an "old, stale, smoky" smell to it. It was very dated looking, and the carpet, decor and furniture in the rooms really need to be updated. The beds were in fact more comfortable than they looked, and our room appeared clean (bedding, towels, etc). The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off from moisture, and there were "no frills" at all (no coffeemaker, etc.). The hotel's card machine was broken the entire weekend, so they had to let us in our room with a master key anytime we wanted in. It sounded as though this was a fairly common occurrence. There was a note saying that we would receive a 5.00 gift cert. for the dining room for the inconvenience, but we never saw it, and we didn't care to eat there anyway so it didn't really matter.Overall, if you want a cheap room, so you can spend more money on fun and shopping, then this is your place. If you expect much more than "mediocre", then go elsewhere.

we were NOT given a king, but 2 queens; they did NOT show our reservation at arrival, but said they'd honor the booking; the carpets were filthy in lobby and hallways and room; windows were disgustingly filthy; no character whatsoever to outside or interior of building or registration desk; no 'landscape maintenance' apparent at all..... i believe we were in addition to those opinions OVERCHARGED for the TYPE of room we got compared to the ROOM we PREPAID for online ............

Was SHOCKED at the new 'pet' prices, & had to stay elsewhere the last time we arrived in town, thinking it would have been the same as the times before, when we stayed there. convenient. And the 'online' price was unbeatable in Kalispell. We did, however, have to go over to the 'City Brew' across the parking lot, to get that price. Worked though...

i don't understand all of the negative reviews. The hotel was built in 1970's...no, it may not be ritzy...and if you're looking for that then go across the street to the hilton. The Outlaw is meant more for those who see and enjoy the historical aspect and feel of an older hotel. I loved it there! Kalispell is such a beautiful spot in Montana. If you're looking to get out of the urban setting, Kalispell is the place to go. Glacier National Park, and Big Mountain Ski Resort. What a gorgeous place :) No lies here...wonderful hotel, God has blessed this part of the Country.

Everyday of our seven day stay we had a problem.. The coffee pot did not work (replaced, but with a lot of trouble), no hair dryer, no rubber mat for shower, not enough clean towels on a regular basis. One day our room was not cleaned at all, another day they did not empty our full wastebasket. We did a lot of activities during the day & when we got back to our room in the evening we always had to call to get things corrected. The final and biggest error was that they charged our Visa after we had already paid thru online travel website (in April) and told them about this. They adjusted the bill after we got home & called them twice.

As usual, there were no hotels available in Kailspell - in August, so I stayed at the Outlaw because they offered me a decent rate and had available rooms. So, anyway, I looked up the reviews on my laptop, while bored in my room, and found they were absolutely heinous. The point of my writing a review is to say that I had a perfectly decent stay. It's no luxury hotel - that's for sure. But I never read anywhere that it claims to be. Housekeeping was really nice when I asked for extra towels - the front desk help was very friendly - the only part I didn't like about the stay was the other guests who were rude and loud. I am more than happy to stay here again and will advise my family to do the same when they come out next summer. My general consensus is that people will find a problem when they look for it. If complaining makes them happy then nothing is giong to stop them. I'm sure I could walk over to any hotel and find a problem to complain about. In regards to my stay - No Complaints!

"Reservation was not kept, booked king room, was given double queen- told it was due to ""stay overs"", room smelled like smoke (was a non smoking room) carpet was dirty, mattresses were worn out, mold in tub and under tub mat, tub-shower leaked on floor, would not ever recommend to anyone, and would never return. Staff was not accomodating at all and did not keep reservations that were made in advance."

The staff at the hotel are wonderful. They tried their best to make our stay enjoyable, but it was not to be. When we arrived, all that they had left were smoking rooms and one person in our party is allergic to smoke. We tried to make it work, but it was like someone was in the room all day smoking, it was overwhelming. We called the front desk and told them of our problem and they shifted us to a room with a king and a rollaway. Since we didn't have any options we accepted that. They were very apologetic and nice about it. At one of their pool/jacuzzi areas, the pool was hotter than the jacuzzi was, maybe it was a malfunction, but not quite the temps that each should be at. The hotel is in a good location, no problems with security and the staff was great. But it has seen it's better days and it's time for a renovation. The TV in the smoking room looked like it was made in the 70's, still had the spin knob and everything.

Upon checking in we arrived to our room and found that it was all ready filled. So back to the front to get another room. Our next room was across from the pool with a dated styling. House keeping did a great job of trying to make a well wornen room look good. Maintenance on the other hand has some problems. They drained and refilled the jucuzzi and reversed the vales with the pool. In other words the pool was 95 and the jucuzzi was 75. It was still was not fixed right 36 hours later. This is a aging motel that needs help in getting a 3 star rating. There are better choices even though the cost will be more. It is not the OUTLAW INN I remeber from working there.

Although I was happy with my stay at the New Outlaw Inn...what makes me happier is that it is under new ownership! There are model board of how the property will look when it is completed in 10 months and WOW, WOW, WOW will it be THE PLACE TO STAY in Kalispell. Good news for me since I will have to be going to that area regularly from now on for business. Already the changes to the quality of food (there's a new chef) are tremendous! And the furniture for the new sleeping rooms is beautiful. They changed out the matresses while I was there and boy was I greatfull for that. The new staff throughout the property is much nicer to deal with also. This gets a big "thumbs up" from me and since I am on the road 20 days out of every month...I know hotels.

This hotel is very old and smells horribly like cigarette smoke everywhere! including our non-smoking room. Carpets were very dirty, bathroom was small, and they charged $*/night! Way too much for what you got. There was nothing there except a bar and dining room which I wouldn't eat in becasue of the smoke. Staff were friendly.

"After reading some mixed reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I wasn't too happy with the location of my room, so the staff went overboard to find me just the location I wanted. The restaurant was fantastic! The only problem was the air conditioning unit wasn't very effective."

"This place is much like the other motels in Kalispell, rundown and filthy. The isnt even a 2 star hotel in Kalispell"

"The rooms were great, very clean and the non-smoking room truly was clean smelling. I did not like, however, having to walk through the smoke filled hall next to the casino to get to the restaurant, which also reeked of cigarette smoke. We only ate there our first night, and then made sure to go somewhere else. For non-smokers or individuals with sensitivity to smoke, you may want to reconsider."
