While it is not a true 4 or 5 star resort, The Westin is a great place to stay while in Grand Bahama. Great location. Good beach. Decent service. Lots of fun. I've stayed there several times and would go back. During our latest stay the hotel was mostly empty and private. Had a great vacation there.

The hotel was just okay, but we checked out and paid our bill only to have the hotel bill my visa card for a larger amount after we left. I could not get the hotel to respond to this overcharge and visa has not been helpful. As a result i got overcharged by $120. I would not recommend a place with this type of business practices.

The hotel was perfect but drinks were expensive. Great during the day, so many activities. Love "Trikky" Horse rides along the beach, Leo the owner was great. During the night the vibe was very mellow.

We like the location of the hotel. We love to gamble and the casino is right there. We like being across the street from the marketplace for shopping and eating.

The staff ,other than the front-desk, was very accommodating and professional. The rooms were clean,well-decorated and comfortable.

Although the facilities and maintenance staff scored a good rating, the front desk personnel were very unaccomodating, to the point where we almost felt harrassed. This was unacceptable behavior and for that reason my family and I will not visit a Westin Resort either in the Bahamas or continental US. I understand our circumstances were rare, but I hope they do not treat guests in our situation the same. We're a working class family who looked forward to our one vacation a year, and the Westin took a great deal of enjoyment from it.

We were given a room on the 10th floor, marina view in the Cay building. I LOVED having a balcony. I spent all my time on the balcony when we were in the room and not roaming around the island. We had been to this island before, 2 years ago, so we knew the location would be perfect for us. My husband dives with Unexso, which is right across the street. Also the Marketplace across the street has a ton of restaurants to choose from. I love the layout of the resort and the infinity pool. The beach is also great! I would definitely stay here again when we go back. My tip is, don't be afraid to explore the island. Rent a car and have fun!

I guess based on the price I was somewhat dissatisfed. I paid for a basic room but had to upgrade because it wasn't even worth that money so the upgrade cost me more than I anticipated spending on the trip. Completely dissatisfied with the staff at the hotel very unfriendly.

The Westin Grand Bahamas was very big hotel with all the amenities that you need closeby. They have great pools and the stretch of the beach was very clean. All the staff were very friendly. The food was great too both inside the hotel or in the marketplace.I would highly recommend this hotel to everybody.

Comfortable room looking over the ocean.Hotel grounds are pretty and kept very clean, as with the pools. The location is great. About 10 mins from the airport. Market five mins walking rom the hotel, with lots of restaurants and bars.

The Westin at Our Lucaya surpassed all of our expectations. This trip was a surprise birthday gift to my husband, and from our first step on the resort, the hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The bellman renegotiated with the front desk to get us a better upgrade. We enjoyed a corner suite with a large balcony overlooking the ocean. This was our first time to Grand Bahama Island and we went to relax on the beach, play golf, and enjoy some nightlife. The shuttles to and from the golf courses were convenient and prompt. And the staff at Our Lucaya and The Reef golf courses matched that of the hotel - excellent. We have traveled to many places in the past, Maui, Key West, Jamaica to name a few. The location of this resort combined the crystal blue waters of Maui with the nightlife of Key West. The Marketplace across the street boasted economical places to eat, drink and relax, with high end restaurants as well. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel or location.

Our group (4 adults) recently visited Freeport, Grand Bahamas and stayed at the WEstin. This was our second trip to the Westin and we were pleased to find that all was wonderful. We were granted a free upgrade to an oceanfront room which was beautiful. We plan to visit La Caya yearly and will continue to book at the Westin.

The Westin hotel was a great resort vacation. The grounds were very beautiful and well maintained, the staff very friendly. My only real disappointment was in the dining options. Perhaps because the hotel was not full, most of the restaurants were not open so there was no variety of dining options. Only a select few were open for each meal. The area across the street had several additional choices, which was fine. They were also considerably cheaper than the hotel choices and in most cases, the food was actually better than what was on the hotel grounds. Still, a great stay and a very nice hotel. Also across the street were drug stores offering reasonable prices on snacks, water bottles, sodas, etc (much cheaper than paying $2 each in a vending machine or at the poolside). The shopping wasn't the greatest, though it did range from tourist shlock to some higher end jewelry. But hey, it was across the street!

Very relaxing time. Not all the pools where open. Staff did not seem as friendly as they have in the past. I think the restaurants on the complex where very expensive. We ate off the property for all our meals. The rooms where clean and spacious and the complex is nice. I would definitely stay there again.

The Westin Grand is a fabulous hotel whether you are going to relax or play hard. The rooms are very nice with fantastic views of the ocean from the balcony. Would like to mention, the beds/mattress was the best I have ever slept in when it comes to hotels. Great location for all activities which are all at your fingertips. The Marketplace is right across the street that has plenty of restaurants and shops to keep you busy. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Great place to visit.
