This hotel is in an ideal location for tourist sights. The staff was very friendly and the food good. Hearing the muezzin calling the faithful to prayer really gave us a feel for life in another culture. Rooms small but tastefully furnished and equipped. We had a lovely time.

Great location and very clean hotels. Rooms were small but very clean. The location was amazing; we could see the Aya Sofia from the hotel doorway.

Room is a bit too small but the location is excellent.

I found the Ottoman Imperial a wonderful place to stay for many reasons. It is located within five minutes walk of a number of Istanbul's most glorious attractions, including Aya Sofia (one minute walk) the Blue Mosque (three minutes walk), Topkapi Palace and the Archeology Museum (five minute walks). Its local flavor as a converted school with beautiful tiling and features is very cozy, which does include rooms that some might feel are a little tight but were not a problem for me. It has a wonderful outdoor patio which is central for dining or sitting out in between sightseeing or after a long day or for breakfast. The free breakfast was quite sumptuous, diverse and flavorful with Turkish and other cuisines represented. The staff was very friendly and helpful without being officious. Although it is not a traditional business hotel, I had several issues such as shipping materials around Istanbul, receiving faxes and arranging getting to and from meetings in areas outside Istanbul that the staff facilitated flawlessly. Overall the staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants, places to visit and everything else that was requested.

Staying at the Ottoman Hotel Imperial was an excellent choice. All staff was friendly, helpful and courteous at all times. Elif (Guest Relations) provided me with all the information I needed and gave me advice. Ozgur looked out for me when I wasn't feeling well. Anil, Ugur, Iskender, and Erhan (sorry if I misspelled names) are just awesome people. They always made me feel welcomed in their country :) My room was always clean and had everything I needed when requested. It was a little too small and reminded me of a stylish college dorm; however, I was traveling by myself and spent most of the time outside so it was not a big deal. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel's location was one of the best things of my trip. Most historical sites, banks, post office, stores, restaurants, etc. are around the corner. Based on a great experience, I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there when I visit Istanbul again.

The room was large with a great view and plenty of storage. Service was always on point and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. Location was very good -- easy access to historic attractions, transportation, food and shopping.

Room door could not be locked from inside. Bathroom is very small. Location next to Hagia Sophia is great and staff is very friendly. Would stay there again.

excellent value expecially relative to it's proximity to the most interesting sights in Istanbul

The Ottoman Hotel has an excellent location, and the staff could not be more friendly. It is quite small in palaces, including the rooms, which do not have a lot of walking room around the bed. Saying that the rooms are very comfortable, and you could not have better views of the Aya Sofia. The breakfast is passable, but not that special. I would book here again if staying in this area of Istanbul.

The Ottoman Imperial Hotel is in an excellent location. It is walking distance to the major historical sites. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well. The rooms are small but very clean. The hair dryer broke and was immediately replaced. The breakfast served was very good with a wide selection of meats, cheeses, breads, eggs, and fruits.
