elevator is not working properly and security always ask you to show your room keys, parking is poor, old and undated rooms, ugly and old towels, bathroom door locked is broke, we didnt enjoy our stay at all after a very long drive its sucks thats all.

My only hotel experience that was even comparable to my stay at the Orleans was in a tiny village high in the Peruvian Andes 35 years ago. But the Orleans is worse--at least the place in Peru wasn't pretending to be anything other than what it was, and it didn't have the signature ORLEANS HOTEL SEWAGE "STANK." This place is literally built on top of a ginormous septic tank! I wondered how my room could SMELL SO EVIL. Then I encountered two hotel employees in an elevator, and both of them were coughing and holding their shirts up over their noses. "It's really bad today," one of them said. "Yeah," the other replied. "They really need to pump that thing out." I had to go down to the eye-burningly smoky casino to get some "fresh" air! The only reason I stayed here at all is that I was registered for a conference, and the organizer chose this hotel. It was all arranged back in the spring, so by the time I checked in and discovered that I was booked into SEWAGE HELL, it was impossible to find a room anywhere else in Vegas. In fairness, though, the hotel does offer amenities. Want high-speed internet in your room? Be prepared to pay for it through your already abused nose. As an alternative, you can visit the so-called business center (access to it is included in your $5 per day "resort fee") and surf the web for 10 whole minutes per day. Need to print a boarding pass? Better do it between 9 and 5, because the "business center" shuts down at 5 p.m., even though ACTUAL business operates 24/7 these days. But if the "business center" is closed, you can pay a minimum of $5.95 to print your boarding pass on one of the kiosks you'll find here and there around the hotel. Oh wait--half the keys are missing from the keyboards, so you may find it tough going. Room service? No problem. When you finish your meal, just set your tray outside your door. (The housekeeping staff certainly won't touch it--or much of anything else.) And once you've put your tray out in the hall, the staff will kindly let it sit there for 24 hours, just in case you or someone else should want to snack on the leftovers. But never mind--just relax and settle back for the night between your flimsy, scratchy, TORN sheets, and delight in the excitement of being alternately blasted with cold and hot air. If you get too warm, walk over to the bathroom sink (wearing shoes, to protect your feet from whatever caused those greasy stains on the carpeting) and splash your face with cold water. Just don't expect the water in your sink to drain--ever. I paid around $90 a night (average of 3 weeknights and 2 weekend nights) to sleep in a sewage miasma. If that suits your tastes, then by all means stay at the Orleans Hotel and Casino. Otherwise, AVOID THIS TOXIC WASTE DUMP at all costs. I came home, took a long hot shower, and washed or dry cleaned every item of clothing I had with me. But I don't think the memory of the Orleans "stank" can ever be eradicated.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past that's why I am a returning guest. Though it's away from the "Strip", my husband and I prefer it that way. Have stayed on the strip in many hotels but liked getting away from it.

The hotel had everything you needed. Quite a distance from strip. Very clean and friendly.

I was skeptical about staying away from the strip. I normally stay at higher end hotels for a lot more money. This hotel is truly a pleasant surprise. The rooms and the hotel are clean and there is lots to do. Now don't go expecting to get the decor and amenities of the Bellagio, but at the price it is well worth it. They really kind of miss on the whole New Orleans theme and could probalby use some redecorating. Nonetheless the place is clean and they have many different options to eat. I had a car so going back and forth to the strip and downtown was a breeze. It's also very close to the Palms so it's easy to party hard. The courtyard Cafe is a great place to eat with awesome prices. I would definitely stay again for the price.

Check in went smoothly. Room was just okay. Beds were not very comfortable. Pillows were awful and small. When I called the front desk to get 4 extra pillows and 2 extra blankets, I was told they only give 2 extra pillows!!! Whatever!! We were 4 people in one room and for what I paid and how cheap the pillows were, I think we should be entitled to one extra pillow each. Also, I was not happy that a month after I booked the room, I received an email stating that I would be charged a 5 per night resort fee when I checked in at the hotel! What a rip off!! That was to cover in-room coffee, 10 minutes on the computer in the business center, and use of the fitness facilities. My husband did use the fitness center and said it was very nice. With all the choices in Vegas, I don't know it we would stay here again. Last year we stayed at the South Point Hotel and casino. That hotel was outstanding! The Orleans is similar, just not near as clean, friendly, or nice.

I did not want to pay $100 just to be on the strip and considering The Orleans is not on the strip, it's a really nice hotel/casino/arena. I did not have a chance to check out the pool due to the cold weather or the spa because of time constraints, but others I know have stayed there and have been happy with both. There isn't free wi-fi in your room but if you grab a cup of java at Seattle's Best, then you can get it there. I would stay there again.

Location off thestrip. Bathroom sink didnot drained well. Nice hotel. was clean and restaurant service was excellent. I was there for daughters graduation. And waitress was about the best I have ever seen. Kudos to her! She worked in the cafe.

The rooms were larger than most hotels and very clean. The beds were execellent. We were on the 17th floor and the water pressure in the shower could have been better. But one nice feature in the shower was that the window opened wide to let out all the steam and you could look out at the city. I requested a frig at check-in and it was delivered only a couple of minitues after I got in the room...very fast service.

I normally stay here every three months. Probably not again though. The front desk staff was rude and indifferent when I complained that they gave me the wrong room. They refused to correct the problem, and simply said 'We don't guarantee room types'. The casino host promised to fix this for me. Upon arriving back at the hotel 3 hours later, they still had done nothing. When they did finally move me to a new room, they told me I had a 'nice poolside view.' What I got was a view of the roof's ventilation system. The cleanliness of the room was ok, but the room was in bad shape. Very old furniture that looked cheap, big stains on the floor and furniture. The spa was filthy. Going into detail would take this whole review. Cocktail service on the gaming floor had gotten quite poor. I took to buying most of my beverages from the gift shop, since it was much faster. I would agree with other reviews on here that when Boyd Gaming took over this property things have certainly seemed to go downhill. It's a shame, since I used to really like this Hotel. Now it seems I will be staying on The Strip the next time I am here.

When first arriving at the hotel, we realized we had two beds, we only reserved one. They fixed this problem and gave us complimentary hockey tickets as well. The buffett kinda lacked a little something but the breakfast buffett was pretty good. The food court has a little for everyone. All in all, a great experiance. The hotel/casino is known for it being a "locals" casino, located about 2 miles from the strip, very goo place to just relax from the tourism.

This hotel was exactly as described in the travelocity reviews. The staff was very friendly. The food was oustanding. They offered excellent shuttle service to the strip. The best value in Vegas if you are planning to stay off the strip. The location is very convenient. My family and I loved the Orleans. We are planning to stay there again.

The hotel room exceeded my expectations. The staff in general made me feel comfortable appreciated. The front desk staff seemed cold and unfriendly. The Orleans was a generally nice and friendly place to base my WSOP experience from.

We stayed for 8 days with the kids and had a great time. The kids loved playing at kids tyme. I read all the reviews at the hotels before we booked and I have to say the Orleans had the best ratings for the money and they delivered. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. My wife and I had our "date night" while there at Canal Street, one of their nice restaurants and we had a great time. We will defintely stay again.

I went on this one night trip with my mom and sister and we had a great time. I had stayed at this hotel before and this was their first time. They were impressed. The room was great. They loved the shower with the window. They also were very happy with all the activities that were offered in the hotel. They had gaming, of course, but a movie theater, bowling alley, food, daycare, and so much more. We talked about just coming to Vegas and staying at the hotel the whole time!

The Orleans was great for the money and it offered several different options for families traveling with children.
