This hotel has a superior location, with very good accomadations in the hotel, as well as withing walking distance. Relatively quiet, NO noise from adjacent rooms. Convient ice and vending machines.

Location. Not long enough shuttles to Disney. We were advised by the hotel that there were plenty of shuttles to Disney all day and night. That was not the case. The first shuttle was at 8AM and the last one was at 1:45 in the afternoon. When we arrived at the hotel we were suppose to have two non smoking hotel rooms next to each other and they were not ready when we arrived at 1:30 pm. We realized that check in was at 4PM but we had spoken to the hotel prior to our trip and they advised it was not a problem if we arrived early. They offered us smoking rooms which I cannot have as my wife has asthma. We wound up on separate floors just to get non smoking and had to wait over 1 1/2 hours to get the two rooms we were finally given. Maybe they need to hire some more cleaning people. We were given the impression there was one person per floor to clean.

This is the second time we've stayed in this hotel with my family. We enjoyed the comfort of the beds after all the walking in the Disney parks. (LOVE the pillows too!!) GREAT location for the price. GREAT staff as well!! Restroom may need a little remodeling but over all GREAT HOTEL!

Stayed here because of the price and proximity to the Disney attractions. We drove from Ohio, so there was no need to use the shuttle. Upon check in, I was given a voucher for a free welcome package from the ticket desk. Little did I know it was a way to get you to talk to them about a timeshare presentation. We didn't have to partake in the presentation, however we did. I don't recommend it unless you have a lot of money and want to waste 2-3 hours of your day. We were orginally told it would take no more than an hour. The hotel was just bought out by Wyndham and that was the timeshare they were pushing. Anyhow, the Orlando Vista hotel was nice overall. The 5th floor smelled like perm chemicals, though. We stayed in a balcony suite, however there was inadequate drainage on the balcony so when it rained, there was always 1-2 inches of water. The sliding door was very hard to open and close and didn't seal correctly. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Don't expect a lot of freebies beyond the soap and shampoo. Micro-fridge combo was 10 per day, no free coffee in the lobby and safe was 1.60 per day. The pool was nice and deeper than expected - 8 1/2 feet! When we arrived and during our stay (Tues. - Sunday) there were two baggage carts always around. However funny thing when we went to bring our luggage downstairs on Sunday, there was only one to be found and it was being used by their "bellhop" who we didn't see the entire stay. Overall nice hotel and would probably stay again.

First I have to say the Orlando Vista is a very nice Hotel but the online travel website listing for this Hotel it list free high speed internet. The only place in the building you can receive it is in the lobby, not good for business travelers. In the rooms if you could pick it up you had to pay for it. I complained to two front desk people about not being able to get the internet in my room and they just ignored me. I asked about having a refrigerator also and had to pay a nightly fee of ten dollars, this would have been nice if I new before I arrived. The traffic on the street can be a nightmare getting out and not to mention about having to do a U-Turn to enter the hotel. I also had a couple of days where my room was not cleaned, I go out to business meetings all day and come back to my uncleaned room. All in all it was ok but I would not stay here again.

My family of 4 (2 kids 4 and 10) stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. I was satisfied overall with the hotel. They let us check in early, however tried to give us the wrong room. I paid for a balcony room and the manager told me "they gave you the wrong information." I guess she meant travel online. Bring your receipt! Also, the first balcony room they gave us first was dirty and the carpet was wet and sticky. They did switch rooms for us with no problem. The safe charge everyone keeps talking about is 1.60 /day and they made me initial I was aware upon check-in. I used the safe and was glad to have it because I felt comfortable leaving my purse and electronics in the room. There was no other fee paid directly to the hotel. The business center has two computers but you have to pay 8 per hour to use them. The lobby does have free wireless. Pool was nice. The room we stayed in was clean and big. They brought us extra pillows and the beds were comfortable, especially for an econo hotel. Although the hotel is located right down the street from the entrance to downtown disney, you really can't walk to the parks because Disney property is so big. I'm sure you could easily walk to one of the hotels on Disney property if you don't want to wait for the vista shuttle. My family drove so we had our car with us.

the hotel was small but nice. Our toilet flooded but they placed us in another room which was very nice of them. My bathing suit was missing but was never replaced. They were generous enough to waive cleaning fees and any other fees we had

Quiet bar and close to attractions. NA. My girlfriend and I were happy with our experience at the Orlando Vista hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. It was minutes away from all of the theme parks. The hotel's restaurant, Au Bon Pain, was good for breakfast and sandwiches, and the hotel bar was never crowded, which we loved. The hotel also has a weight room and nice outdoor pool. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a holiday-inn-like hotel at a Motel-6 price.

staff was very nice. bar closed early somtimes, before disney closed. wall paper on the 7th floor was falling off. room was not cleaned every day but was nice shower faucet. dripped constantly. bus shuttle was sketchy, did not always leave disney at set times. left early 2 times i was there and was late leaving the hotel. food in the restaurant was ok but microwaved and closed before 10 all days i was there. rates were ok and the last night i was there the bartender was very nice and stayed open later.

I was very pleased with this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the room was very nice. It was very spacious and it was clean. The pool was awesome; they even have a smaller pool for kids. The location of the hotel was excellent as well. It was very easy to get back on the highway. There are many great places to eat and shop all within walking distance. I would definetly recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

When we arrived checking was rather easy which was wonderful since our flight was delayed and the airline had lost our luggage. But when we reached our rooms things changed. The room was rather small, and it smelled like mold. But the worst was when I was ready to give my child a bad and I noticed that there where small bugs crawling threw-ou the tub. I rinsed out the tub. And keept on moving since we where so tired. I also noticed that one of the towels in the bathroom had a big dark stain on it, which looked rather nasty. Also they have the stranges hours for their hotel loby shop, as well as their restaurant. We couldn't even get a soda around 4pm after a hot day of walking around and ofcourse the bending mechines will cost you $2.00 for one. You better walking to the gas station around the corner for drinks. Other than that I have to admit this hotel is on a wonderful location to restaurants and close to downtown Disney. Which was wonderful!

This hotel was a value, for sure, however, don't expect lavish accommodations. I agree with the review about the funny smell on the floor (4th floor to be specific). Our bathtub was still filthy when we checked in, however, housekeeping came promptly to resolve the issue. The hotel badly needs a renovation, the wallpaper in the halls is worn/torn/marked up. The room was clean enough, I guess, but certainly not spotless. When we were checking out, they were delivering new mattresses to the hotel, so that is a start. The shuttle was convenient, but, be aware that it is consistently late (except when picking up from the parks to return to the hotel, it was usually on time when we were leaving the parks). Also, the shuttle stops at several parks and several hotels, so it could be a 40 minute drive before you actually reach where you are trying to go. The shuttle pick up times are every few hours, so you may need to really plan ahead or resolve to stay at the park the full day, and take everything you need with you. The pool and hot tub were adequate, and clean. I think the best part about the hotel was its proximity to restaurants and stores. If you don't mind a little walking, there are lots of options open to you for finding somewhere to eat, or running to the gas station for something you may have forgotten to pack.

Hotel was nothing special, but had a great price for Memorial day weekend and fit my needs. It was clean and the staff were very courteous and helpful. It was a nice hotel, but nothing too special. The location was very good also, just did not care for the color scheme of the room and hotel- a lot of pastel.

The hotel I thought was excellent. Maybe they can remodel the outer design of the hotel, so they can attract more adults. The deluxe rooms should come with a couch and refrigerator. This hotel is not that excellent that you should pay extra then a better hotel that is probably cheaper. The free shuttle was good and the cafe was good. Their is nothing really to complain about.

The hotel was good, basic accommodations. There was a freaking' huge pineapple on it. If you're just looking for a place to sleep in the Orlando area, this hotel is fine. Kids will like the wild colored decorating scheme, but guests over the age of 7 might find it a little too strange. If you're picky about your housekeeping, this may not be the place for you. Towels were replaced, but the sheets weren't changed daily. Over all, it was decent, but nothing spectacular. About what I'd expect for the price.

When I read the details for the hotel on its website, I was excited. A heated pool caught my eye, as did its "close" proximity to downtown disney. However, upon arriving at the hotel, I knew I was going to be disappointed. The heated pool is just a little whirlpool and downtown disney is not close at all. The rooms were ok, however, the previous tenants left clothes behing that my children found under the chair. For what we paid, we were not impressed with our accomidations. There are plenty of places to go in the Orlando area that are much better!

I booked this hotel online because it was a good price and I didn't see too many negative reviews, so I thought it would be safe. Boy was I wrong! When we arrived at the hotel at 11PM, we were given a room on the fourth floor. We went up to the room and the whole floor smelled like chemicals. We went into the room and upon walking in the door, we heard a beep noise. As we were looking around to inspect the room, we heard it again. It was coming from the smoke detector. I immediately called the front desk and they said they would send someone up to check it. They sent the security guard to check it. He looked at it and said that it had a disconnect in it and there was nothing that could be done to fix it that night. So I said "so we're expected to just sleep with it beeping all night?" and he said "no, I can disconnect it". What?? I'm not sleeping in a hotel room on the 4th floor without a smoke detector in my room. That is a safety issue! I also noticed that the sprinkler units in the room were rusted. So, we went back to the front desk and moved to another room. This room was on the 7th floor, and had only one working light fixture and a door to an adjoining room right beside the bed. I felt very unsecure about this, and was fed up at this point, so we went back down to the lobby and asked for a refund. They told us they couldn't help us, we would have to call the travel agency. It took several hours for me to get my back and find another hotel. Never again!
