Positives: Internet connection in the room Excellent Location Rooms are nice and modern Flat panel plasma - Good channels (Cable sports etc) Negatives Service was slightly slow at the front counter - but that was about it. Definitely be staying there again!!

i stayed in orchard hotel for the first time and really didn't like it... very thin wall, and doors too, i could hear doors slamming sound of of the whole floor...and the ppl talking next door..

On check-in front desk told guest after guest "We can give you your rate tonight, all we have are suites, but you will have to move in am" We all take it and many upgrade to avoid moving after long flights. They offer free breakfast on internet, but charge for it if you do not upgrade room...make excuses for low rate we recieved booking with Travel agency stating they cannot provide what is advertised. Bill was over 1300.00 USD for 4 days of breakfast for 2 persons,upgraded room fees and other hidden fees, no alcohol was consumed. many people were so unprepared for the swindle, unable to pay their bill. I had resevation to finish vacation after trip to bali at this hotel for another week and cancelled it, stayed elsewhere. 4 nights was enough to know I never want to stay there again, also made me not want to ever visit Singapore again.

Okay location, nice lobby Old and small rooms; fixtures literally falling apart; loud construction during the day; they lost one of our reservations. The Orchard Hotel has an okay location, at the end of Orchard Road, and the lobby is large and inviting. That's where the good stuff ends, unfortunately. The rooms are small and in need of updating. The bathroom fixtures were literally falling apart. There was loud construction on the floor above all day.

I work for an international shipping company. I have been staying at the Orchard Hotel Singapore for around three months now. This has given me enough time to evaluate the hotel and may I say that it is the worst hotel that I have ever had the displeasure of staying at.Please allow me to give an example, on 31st dec 07 at around 530pm I received a phone call in my room from the guest relations officer, informing that I had to relocate rooms because they claimed they were doing "rectification" on that floor, keep in mind this is new years eve. Disappointed I moved to another room on another floor. I went down to reception and spoke to the guest relations officer who ensured me that the rooms were undergoing "rectification" and that nobody would be staying in the room that I once occupied. So it was to my surprise when I called the room from my newly appointed "smaller" room and to my surprise there was somebody staying in there. The guest relations officer blatantly lied to me.The gymnasium is poor in relation to some of the equipment. The treadmills require servicing only one of them gets upto the speed that you select. the decor in the rooms looks tired, fixtures in the rooms need repair. Fire exits are blocked on occasion by room service trolleys or boxes and the doors that should provide you with a somke free escape are rotten at the bottom. The thermostats in the rooms that I have stayed in dont work. When I checked in they reserved 1000 dollars on my credit card without my knowledge. Overall A poor hotel with tired staff.

hotel staff very friendly room a bit shabby for the price and didn't like the early morning construction work The Orchard Hotel is very well-located on Orchard Road in Singapore. The staff are very friendly and the hotel feels welcoming. We found the room to be a bit shabby for the price (sagging matress, etc) It was also somewhat loud upstairs and in the rooms around us. In addition, there was construction work going on in the hotel which started around 8am so it wasn't a great place for jet lag! I would find another place to stay in Singapore next time.

Your hotel building is good, but your facilities is very bad, not free internet could be access. near "red light" that not good for my children

Because of over booking I received an upgrade to executive floor where facilities were excellent. I found the food - mostly buffet style - to be 'average' at best. Room service meal was mediocre. All hotel staff were approachable, helpful and very pleasant. I would stay there again.
