Ooraminna Homestead Accommodation Alice Springs

Ooraminna Homestead offers accommodation, breakfasts, 4WD cattle station tours, nature walks, team building locations, special occasions, product launches and film locations. There are a total of 4 rooms at the homestead, comprising of a stone cottage police station and gaol, 2 luxury bush cabins and wooden slab hut.

Driving directions for Ooraminna Homestead

From the airport:
After leaving the airport complex, drive toward town then take the first turn left at the sweeping bend in the road.

From the town:
Take the South Stuart Highway. Drive past the road and signage to Adelaide.
Take the next right at the sweeping bend in the road.

From South Stuart Highway (Ayres Rock or Kings Canyon):
At the intersection of the South Stuart Highway and the Stuart Highway, there is a large green sign indicating Alice Springs and the Airport, turn right driving toward the airport, this will take you almost immediately into the sweeping bend in the road. Follow the instructions below.

From the sweeping bend:
There is a large sign with Maryvale Rd and Ooraminna Homestead T\O listed at the top. The bitumen will soon run out after about 150 metres and you will hit a dirt road.
Press your trip meter at the end of the bitumen.
After 4km there will be a grid
At 20km a second grid (i.e. 16kms between both grids)
There is a big red sandhill on the left.
3.5 km past this second grid look for a sign on the right Ooraminna Bush Camp' nb: slow down just prior to 3.5kms because the turnoff comes up quickly and the sign can be a bit hard to see
Total from end of bitumen to turn-off to Ooraminna is 23.5km

Ooraminna Homestead:
Follow the signposted road to the left
You will go over a grid and through the gate
Drive until you cross another grid, there is the old pub on your right
Then take the signposted road to the homestead to the left, and head north until you see the homestead up on the hill on your left hand side. (a couple of hundred metres)
