Great service by friendly staff. Helpful in changing rooms when number of people changed - even offered to move our stuff for us! Excellent location - we were able to walk everywhere! Highly recommend it.

The hotel room was perfect! It had everythingI could need! I did not like that it didn't have parking self parking and was 40 dollars to park.

good modern hotel with good service. Does not have a restaurant and not in a convenient spot. But other wise I would recommend it.

This hotel was ok - Rooms very small but good location. They say they are a kid friendly hotel and even give kids get a goodie bag - I didn't find anything about this hotel that had anything to do with kids and my son never got a goodie bag. All in all, it was just ok.

The staff at this very upmarket hotel were friendly and extremely helpful in making our stay in Boston a memorable one. They helped with restaurant and trip suggestions and were personable with our three children. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The only thing missing in the bedrooms was a coffee machine. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the North end and the historical centre and subway. I highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms well appointed, beds very comfortable & staff was terrific!! I could have used a shower cap but that was it! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone we encountered from the doorman, clerks, food and bar service staff were very well trained, friendly and helpful! We certainly would stay here again. The hotel location was perfect. The hotel was clean and well appointed. The hotel has a complimentary wine hour from 5:00 to 6:00 each evening. We enjoyed meeting other guests during this time.

My experience was not a pleasurable one at all. the over all feel of the hotel was not a good one. the room was so small we all felt like we were sardines packed in a can for three days. room service wasn't a great one at all. Our order was for four, we only got half of are food deliver and only one napkin and only one set of silverware. We didn't sleep well at all the walls are paper thin!!!!!!!! Also are view out side of are window was a wall and ac units not cute at all.

So you have some perspective my boyfriend and I are in our late twenties. I have had nice experiences at Kimpton hotels in the past, not extravagant, but not the run if the mill. The Onyx has a contemporary decor, but the rooms are very small. That did not bother us much since we were not in the room except to sleep. We stayed in a room by the electrical closet and heard some noises. We called the front desk and complained, they offered to move us, but we had unpacked and didn't feel like waiting for another room. We had sites to see! They offered us a bottle of wine on the house which we took them up on. A nice gesture! The location is awesome and within walking distance of all of the downtown attractions. The staff was very helpful and and polite. If you do not plan to be in your room much I recommend staying here. Kimpton does a nice job!

Good location. The hotel charges $40 a day to park your car. We had 2 cars quite a ripoff. Small, tight well appointed rooms crowded lobby, temporary check in desk overrated.

The staff were great. The front desk was great. They knew who we were after only crossing paths one time. They made us feel very comfortable. We will definately stay there again.

The Onyx was very comfortable, stylish, non-generic furnishing and spacious bathroom area. The staff was very friendly and energetic, concerned to be helpful. However, we arrived on Sunday evening around 8 PM and most of the restaurants that were open in the area were sports bar-oriented establishments. (This makes sense because the hotel is just down the street from the Boston Garden where Celtics & Bruins play) There was no dining available in the hotel (except room service) at that time because there was a private function in the only eating area. Limitations in finding a convenient place to have a quiet dinner may be as much related to the fact that it was Sunday night as to the location.

I should have known this was a great hotel, just by the first impression when greeted by Tom the doorman. All I can say is it just got better. The warm staff they have employed are the BEST! Makes it feel like home. The rooms are on the small side, but the ambience is fun and unique, with comfy beds. Kimpton is definately making an impression with us. Will book their hotels in the future.

We have stayed here several times. The location suites us great for activities at the Garden and dining in the North End. The room although some on the small side are very comfortable and bathrooms are a decent size. The beds are very comfortable! The staff is always great - helpful and friendly!! Check in and out has always been very swift. And the wine and cheese service is a delightful touch! Will continue to return in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at the ONYX! Business brought us to Boston but we had the pleasure and comfort of our time off staying at the Onyx Hotel. The staff was ALWAYS pleasant and very quick to respond to any request! The wine cocktail hours was a nice touch. We enjoyed walking to the the many historic sites near by the hotel. The bed and linens were very soft & luxurious! We will definately come back when in Boston and would hightly recommend this hotel if serviice and comfort are important to your stay!!!
