We were there for business in Jacksonville.Location is great if you're there for a couple of days & can enjoy the beach during the warmer weather. Service was very good but the one complaint we had was that it was very annoying that they mandated you utilize valet parking everytime you used your car. Then after tipping everytime you use it they then charge you a daily $15.00 fee for it. Hotel staff was very helpful. [...] is the best!

I dont know whats nicer, the hotel or the area. Dont expect your room ready until at LEAST 3pm and they wont rush it for you even if other rooms guests haven't arrived. The $25 per day resort fee is a joke. I went by myself & all the water, soda & snacks in the mini bar wont cost that much. Oh yeah it includes a towel for the pool. No ice or coffee maker accessible-need to call your docent and don't forget tip. Call your own shuttle-half the hotel's price but they dont seem to like it. Great staff except front desk was snotty.Bartenders, waitstaff were great. They also dont tell you bring your suit for the jacuzzi in the spa- massage was great. Overall very nice but a bit snooty- speak up for yourself.

The hotel facilities and the room were very nice-- well-planned , comfortable furniture and lighting, great beach view (even though it wasn't the full-priced beach balcony room rate, the half-beach, half-city view was great) Sound insulation between rooms was good. Very cute, walkable neighbourhood with a wide range of restaurants. The staff were individually friendly and helpful, and commiserated when we complained about odd management policies. The docent fee and mandatory valet parking fee were a surprise (although now I see they're listed here...) and they were unnecessary. We only called the docent to ask for coffee. There is no coffee maker in the room, so you have to call for someone to brew it by the cup and deliver it. The coffee is good, and included in the docent fee, but as a caffeine-addicted introvert I found the process offputting. If you're on bussiness and need coffee and quick breakfast, look somewhere else. Breakfast is not included, but again, restaurants within walking distance were great. The docent fee also pays for anything in the minifridge, but since they know people will clear it out, the fridge was stocked only with water, coke, diet coke, sprite, peanuts, chips, cookies, snickers bars, and dried fruit. The docent explained that they have everything in the fridge free because it makes every guest feel special-- it just made them look cheap. I certainly didn't drink $25 per day of coffee and diet coke. Very relaxing vacation resort, will be better when the new management figures out what they're doing.

This Ocean themed hotel puts you out to sea as soon as you walk through the front doors. It is the ultimate escape. From the beautiful art, to the magnificent room with a perfect view, to the exceptional staff and spa, One Ocean is worth every penny. They informed us of all additional fees that would be charged, for example, the resort fee and the valet parking fee. You do have the option to find street parking, but at $15.00 a night, it's worth the safety and convenience. Our room was cleaned and made up every night with fresh fruit daily and our own personal Docent brought us an espresso every morning, all complimentary. The resort is in the perfect spot to enjoy some fabulous night life and early morning walks on the beach. My husband and I felt we found the perfect spot, right down to the ocean sounds playing on our radio by the bedside when we came home at night. Thank you One Ocean, we will be back!

One Ocean Resort is beautiful and very accommodating hotel. It is located right on the beach and right downtown Atlantic Beach--very cool area. Awesome hotel and aesthetically appealing as well as very cool decor.

Each floor had docents which added to the expense. If you wanted ice you had to call, hot water for tea, seemed like everything. And then wait, and tip.

Not worth the money. If you like big fancy lobbys, this is for you, if you like big fancy bathrooms, look elsewhere... On thier website, they state that they offer "Intuitive and Personalized Docent Services". No where, including when you check in do they tell you that they automatically bill your room $25 for this service. Room service delivered 1 apple and two pears to my room one day (?) without my request. (not worth $25) I stay in 1 to 2 hotels per week, everyone of them has an iron and ironing board. I had to call room service to get one (not worth $25) Slick, Swanky, Gorgeous bar, with prices to match and a terrible "Bar Menu". Only Meat item was Lolipop Lamb Chops... Good, but three small chops for $18? Martinis, for $18? This is Atlantic Beach, not Palm Beach! After 3 O'clock, the building blocks the sun, and the pool becomes useless for "sun in the afternoon". Lounge chairs at the beach are $30? Valet parking "only" at $15 per day, with no other options. - Atlantic Beach is a salty, seafront, beachy, surfer town and there are better, and more affordable options right next door in Neptune and Jacksonville Beach "on-the-ocean" or, if you have to spend big bucks, go down the road about 8 miles and stay at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club - Expensive, and worth every penny. Loved the fresh hot coffee delivered to my door when I woke up! The room was a nice size and very beautiful but the bathroom gave me clausterphobia! The $22 cost to valet park is a bit high since self parking is not easily done there.

This is a great facility with great staff. It's really a superb value for the money. The housekeeping staff replaced our towels twice a day and had our room spotless. Great beach access. I would definitely return.

This is easily the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen... perfect location, perfect beach, staff were SUPER helpful and the amenities were fabulous. The restaurant/bar is an absolute MUST- brunch was superb, coctails on the deck were delish- everything is really expensive, but worth every penny. Even getting the room for only 150/night, the whole weekend cost us about $900, and we hardly left the hotel!

The hotel renovation was exceptional. The dinning room and patio were great. The chef made our dinner the highlight of our trip.

Sadly, The Sea Turtle was a pale comparrison to the pictures on the web. Renovations were going on so conditions were understandibly not as good, but that was our first impression. It got worse. The rooms smeeled of smoke, my associate's balcony was inaccessible as holes had worn through the base and it was to dangerous to bear weight. Some aspects were ok but the low price for ocean side is understood when you realize it's not a great hotel.

we had a great time at one resort, staff provided excellent service. rooms were cleaned daily, lots of towels, the spa was excellent. it would of been the prefect place if a continiental breakfast had been available, the extras add up

On a good note, we enjoyed the location and the beautiful decor--both in the hotel and in our room. They were very pet-friendly, as well. However, the per-day resort fee did not make sense in the winter months, as we did not really use the resort (i.e. outdoor pool, beach chairs, etc.). Furthermore, we knew that the fee covered drinks in the mini-fridge and snacks, but we did not realize we had to request refills (rather than them just being replaced each day). (It turns out the docent should have told us). The docent also offered dog biscuits (which was nice), but did not follow through. Although this was not the end of the world, it was one more example of slightly less than stellar service. (Which you expect with the resort fee/room cost). Finally, the bathroom was really, really small -- you had to stand in between the toilet and shower to be able to shut the door, for example. Very difficult for a couple to both use the bathroom to get ready in the morning. We inquired about switching rooms and were told that all rooms except the suites had the same floor plan.

This was the best hotel that i have stayed at. Everyone was amazing, polite, friendly and attentive. It was very welcoming and beautiful! I hope that this hotel does well because I look forward to going back again and again. Right on the ocean, walking distance to good restaurants and local coffee shops.

I was surprised by the hotel. It was upscale and chique. It was extremely clean and well kept. The staff was attentive and friendly. Just what the Dr. ordered.
