the hotel is very nice, the bathrooms are unusually good even for 5 stars hotels. the rooms are very dark but a lamp was brougt upon request. not all the staff members are friendly.the rooms on the front are noisy,i could hear lorries all night.

From the minute we arrived, we could tell this was going to be fabulous. Instead to hanging around at a reception desk to check in, we were ushered across to a huge sofa and offered complimentary malt whisky whilst we signed in, before being ushered up the grand staircase to our room. The room did not disappoint either: spacious and very comfortable, a room you would want to spend time in. We ate in the hotel bistro in the evening and had a memorable meal with amazing food and great service. We have stayed in many hotels in Glasgow and have not been back to any of them.....until now. We will definitely return to Devonshire Gardens.

I was our first time in Scotland and of course first time in Glasgow and at the hotel. We were not disappointed. Everything was really nice : the surroundings, a good location, the room, spacious (the bed was super comfy), the bathroom well-appointed (even aplasma TV!) and the staff so helpful and friendly Not to forget the dram of whisky for those who feel thirstyWe indeed would recommend this hotel

This is a stunning hotel in a slightly secluded area of Glasgow. The room was superbly appointed and the bathroom vast, however the score of 4/6 for the room reflects the lack of air conditioning and despite the weather being cool the room was uncomfortably hot - perhaps due to pipework? Staff were attentive but not obsequious and the welcome dram was gratefully received. The Late Rooms rate was 30% below the hotel's published rate making this hotel very good value for money, even if breakfast is an expensive £17 extra.

Superb accommodation, particularly good value for money at the laterooms rate. Especially liked the roll top bath opening onto the bedroom and the flat screen tv built into the bathroom wall. What a way to watch the end of the Open Championship golf!Spent one wonderful night there and look forward to our next visit.

This hotel is fantastic, the staff are great and the rooms are amazing. I stayed with my wife for her birthday, as it was a special occasion, the staff even gave me a free room upgrade. Really made it a great night.

A really luxurious feel to the hotel with immaculate service and lots of nice touches. We were made to feel very welcome despite being on the scruffy side and we'll be back like a shot next time we can afford it! Didn't comment on family friendliness as we went without our young son and enjoyed a romantic break for two. There did seem to be a small number of young children around who were treated with great consideration by the staff as far as we could see.

This hotel was recommended to us. The hotel is on the west side of the city, away from the downtown core. We received a nice welcome, the staff are all friendly. There is no elevator and our room was on the top floor. The dining room service is good, the food beautifully presented, but a wee bit pretentious. Expensive wine menu.

The hotel itself was first class, one of the best I have ever visited. The service provided by the staff was excellent, extremely courteous and could't do enough for you. The room was sheer opulence itself, very spacious and the restaurant was excellent too. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough and will definitely be visiting it again.

I booked this hotel based on the recommendations of others' feedback - and my husband and I are very glad we took this advice. We had such a good experience there that I now feel compelled to add my tuppence worth to give useful feedback that will help others to make their minds up. This hotel has excellent customer service; they went out of their way to be helpful - and were more than happy to recommend restaurants in the local area. At the discounted rate of £99, it was excellent value for money. I have just returned from a road trip around Scotland and 3* inns in the Highlands of Scotland were charging us about the same price - there is no competition, Hotel du Vin is a no-brainer if you are looking for a luxury stay in Glasgow.

Very stylish and comfortable hotel, unusual layout and no room numbers means it can be hard to find your room. The bathroom was amazing and booking through this site the rate was fantastic value .

really nice hotel, the rolltop bath with doors that opened onto the room was a great idea for realxing and fun. much like the malmaison in decor and feel, but a bit more special, we booked two nights but due to our hectic schedule we disdn't try the food.

I've stayed in the hotel twice now and I think it's really great. Rooms and staff are lovely. Only thing which I feel could improve is the room service menu which is a little limited/expensive. Perplexed by the offer of some meals from 11pm only. Why not add these to the other meals? Also it would be good to have details of a wine list in the room as when you're ordering room service reception seem unknowledgeable about. I was charged £14.95 for a glass of house red wine which I thought was madness. Apart from this niggle .... top marks!

An excellent hotel which was a true pleasure to visit. I think it is the best hotel in Glasgow, particularly with a reduction to rack rate through laterooms. The staff were consistently welcoming and helpful. The accommodation, not only our room but also the public areas, are splendid. My only complaint is with the breakfast which could have done with more of the precision shown in the evening service.
