I have been to NYC numerous times and this is the best experience I've had with a hotel: clean, great service, and comfortable.

I slept very well at this hotel. The room was quiet and dark, the bed was comfortable. I liked the roomy modern bathroom. The location is fantastic.

I can do without the chocolates and luggage tags, but better housekeeping would be appreciated. Wash those windows, thay made the whole room seem dingy. Clean the closet drawers & shelves, make sure there is no gunk on the pictures & hairdryer. I'm glad I brought a travel washcloth as I used it to tidy up the room, including the windows, as best as I could before settling in.

OTA NYC is centrally located near Harlem, Times Square, Harold Square, Central Park, shopping, restaurants, and trains; has a courteous and attentive staff; and is clean and comfortable. I would stay at On the Ave NYC in the future, provided their rates remain competitive.

Reserved the presidential suite for 900+ per night. The hotel tried to switch us to another room at the same price. Upon much complaining, the manager stated that it would be better if we stayed somewhere else. We were attending a blacktie event and did not have a choice but to stay. Suites are very small and do not live up to thier website. Service staff is great, front desk and management are aweful!

The hotel was nice. I enjoyed the small rooftop terrace and the location. However, the walls are thin and our toiletries were not replenished at all throughout our four night stay.

Not all amenities listed on website were offered (robes, chocolates). Modern bath, large shower, water pressure a bit low. Fabulous down comforter & duvet, good pillows, but bed is VERY firm. Pet-friendly means you might have to hear a barking dog. Not a place for kids. Good room service food.

I would highly recommend this hotel. I'm a picky traveler and they exceeded my expectations. Try the diner across the street -- great food and very reasonable prices.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at On the Ave. All staff were friendly and helpful, the room with two double beds wasn't too small, and there was plenty of counter space in our bathroom. Our mattress was uncomfortable, but that would be our only complaint. They have a great deck with decent views and the hotel is in a good and safe location if you need to be on the upper west side. It's close to Columbus Ave where there's good shopping and lots of restaurants.

It will be better when the resturant opens, they should tell us that room service comes from the cafe right across the street, and got a brown paper bag with cold food and no surup for my daughters pancakes!
