The room I stayed in was probably the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. I booked a Petite Queen Suite thinking it had "250 square feet, one queen bed, a sitting area with a queen-sized sofa bed, and large bathroom." It only had a queen bed, a night stand, small desk, armoir w/ a tiny tv, small closet, & a tiny bathroom. It felt like only 120-150 square feet. The bathroom floor looked like it wasn't cleaned. There was dust flying out of the air vents in the room. The soft sheets & hotel location were the only good things about it. I won't be staying there again.

Perfect location, it doesn't get any closer to Bourbon st. Bed was definitely below par for a 4 diamond hotel. Omni Royal has the perfect location for a stay in the French Quarter, very friendly and helpful staff, the deluxe queen size rooms are a good size with nice bathrooms; the only drawback is the stiff and uncomfortable beds. Other than that I would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I spent three nights at the Omni Royal Orleans. We had a regular room with a king size bed. The room was small like any old New Orleans hotel but clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hotel is a quiet oasis from the noise of the streets and the roof-top pool and observatory are beautiful for a quiet drink while the sun sets. The Omni Royal Orleans is close to everything in the French Quarter. Room service was excellent and the concierge was kind and helpful. Would recommend!

Excellent view for the 4th of July fireworks!

The pool was amazing. Our bed was not very comfortable. Great location, cute ambiance, and amazing rooftop pool. The only disappointment was that the bed was mediocre. WhenI stay in a 4 star hotel,I expect an exceptional bed and great linens. The television in the room was not a flat screen either, which is unusual in a hotel of that quality.

We will definitely stay at the Omni Royal Orleans again. It was beautiful, clean, safe and quiet. The roof top pool with a panoramic view of the French Quarter was lovely, clean and not crowded. We felt like we were in the lap of luxury. While we didn't eat at the hotel we looked at the in-room breakfast menu and found it to be a little pricey. The Concierge & Bell Hop were very helpful with locating bike rentals for us and restaurants. All the staff members we encountered were professional, courteous and helpful. Very good experience overall.

The location was conveneint, the room was clean and quiet, and the staff was responsive. We had a problem in the shower and it was fixed immediately! Be sure and check out the wonderful roof top pool and exercise area. The views of the city are spectacular, and it's a great quiet place to have a drink, sit and visit with friends, or just hang out. We could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. We will certainly stay here on our next trip to New Orleans.

The hotel was very elegant and old world. The staff was gracious and the service was excellent. I have visited New Orleans many times and this was my favorite hotel. And the Priceline deal was terrific.

This is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of the French Quarter. You couldn't ask for a better location. The rooftop area and pool is a major plus. Nice rooms, comfortable beds, waffle weave cotton robes in the rooms, courteous hotel staff. All in all had a great experience and would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to all. One thing, parking is expensive... but that's par for the course in the french quarter.

Overall the hotel was nice enough, but inconsistent. I would recommend it to a friend, but ONLY if they got a significant discount on the rate becuase I don't believe it is worth "4 star" pricing. The room was quite small. There was no desk and very little drawer or dresser space. Although the bathroom counter was granite, the bathroom itself was TINY and the shower fixtures were old (from 1960's?). The shower walls looked like very nice granite(?) tile, but the grout was old and cracked. The (very nice) armoire holding the TV used about 75% of the space for a snack bar, coffee maker and 7 Evian bottle and only a half-size drawer or two available for putting my clothes away. The room was acceptable, but didn't meet my expectations. The hotel does not have a vending machine of any sort so if you want a soda-- you have to pay room service or go for a walk to get it.The hotel was in a good location and the few staff we met were nice enough.

The hotel was very nice and we loved the balcony as it gave a little more space. Even though the rooms and bathroom are a little small, the hotel is very nice and in a great location. It was surprisingly quiet and restful for being right in the French Quarter. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We loved the rooftop pool. This is the second Omni hotel we have stayed at and both hotels were really nice. We were right down the street from Nolas, which is a wonderful restaurant. We walked everywhere, so there was no need to take a cab. It was a fun trip!

We stayed here for a work-related event just a couple months before Katrina and came back for our honeymoon in the fall of 2007. While the atmoshphere of the city had changed, the staff at the Omni Royal hadn't---the doormen actually remembered us (or at least they were really good actors)! We love the ambience of the Omni; we're simple, country folk for the most part with our jeans and baseball caps, but we are always treated with dignity, respect, and the utmost courtesy. Of course, we leave the casual duds behind when we eat at the Rib Room! We are planning another trip to NO this fall for our first anniversary, and can't imagine staying anywhere but here. By the way, if you stay on a weekend, make sure to get a room with a view of the courtyard---it's fabulous, and we actually watched on two BEAUTIFUL weddings while we there the first time.

Loved the hotel and it's location. Room was comfortable and clean but small. Pool was adequate but fitness center could have been larger with more equipment. I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat.

Convenient to the heart of everything. Beautiful! Bathroom was tiny. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Omni Royal Orleans. The staff was fabulous and very helpful during my stay. The hotel was beautifully maintained and very comfortable.

We were guaranteed by travelocity to have a superior balcony room upgrade (not based upon availability). When we checked in, the hotel said the free upgrade was based upon availability and no rooms were available. We got stuck in a room so small there was not even a place to open our luggage. The bathroom didn't even have a tub. The hotel staff didn't even offer to upgrade us to a deluxe room which we knew were available. We were awakened at 8:00am by a false fire alarm. Don't fall for the free upgrade. It won't happen. We'll stick with the Monteleon from now on...

This was our third visit to the Omni Royal Hotel. We've travelled to New Orleans many times to attend Jazzfest or the French Quarter Festival and this is our favorite hotel. The location is great, the staff friendly and the pool area with an obervation deck overlooking the Missippi is beautiful. The rooms are smallish but clean and nicely furnished. We cannot wait to return.

The rooftop pool and bar area wait staff were fantastic. Small bathrooms.
