We were delighted with the Omni from check-in to check-out. The exchange rate at the hotel desk was equal to that of Calforex. The Doorman and the rest of the staff were very accommodating in both French and English. Not a snob in the bunch. The room was enormous for being a regular room with one king sized bed. The view of Mont Royal was nice from our vantage point. While there was no continental breakfast, the small cafe across the street offered great coffee, croissants and pastries for an easy morning breakfast before heading out to explore the city with friends. Parking was quick and easy and the drive up entrance to the hotel made loading and unloading painless. We would definitely recommend the Omni Mont Royal to anyone wishing to explore the night life and attractions of the main drag of Montreal. We certainly got more than our money's worth at 100.00 per night for a weekend rate. We were busy with friends so did not sample the restaurant fare or the spa but both looked inviting.

This is a nice and affordable hotel right in the heart of Centreville Montreal. It is close to musuems, shopping, and the Metro. It's close enough to St. Catherine ST, but far enough away to avoid the noise. The restaurant was lacking, but there are plenty of options around. Overall, a nice place to stay to relax and enjoy Montreal.

The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. We coldn't have been happier with it and the staff was friendly and courteous. The location was very good, close to the tourist info bureau, the metro, shopping and restaurants. We were even within walking distance of the Montreal Jazz Festival.

It had two pianos which I could play. Good location. I booked the hotel specifically for the pool and they closed it earlier than advertise.

Our stay at the Omni was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge recommended a wonderful seafood restaurant. The hotel is in a perfect location for walking to everything. The concierge has a map of a walking trip through Old Town which was very useful. There are several very good restaurants right in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and a nice size. So was the bathroom. The decor wasn't the newest, but everything seemed neat and clean. Some floors were more updated than others. All of the staff was very nice, attentive and knowledgeable. We would def stay here again

Our experience at Hotel Omni Mont-Royal was excellent from the moment we checked-in the Hotel staff was very courteous and pleasant. The concierge provided great help indicating tourist points of interest as well as providing maps of the down town area. They were eager to help with public transportation information or calling a taxi for us. The Hotel room and the Hotel amenities such as swimming pool, Gym and its location were unbeatable.

The service at this hotel was poor from the moment we arrived. Although we arrived at 4:00pm (versus a 3:00 check in time) we were told that our room wasn't ready and MIGHT not be ready for another hour. The desk staff was in no way sensitive to our situation (we were traveling with a 1yr old who needed to nap) and it took us 25 minutes to have our request to speak to a manager honored. The manager did little to help beyond give us some attitude, tell us the room would be ready in 30 minutes, offer us a drink at the bar (very practical with a 1yr old) and then offer us free breakfast. The concierge's advice with respect to restaurants, travel times and the weather report was poor. The quality of breakfast and room service was weak by 4/5 star hotel standards. It took the hotel staff 20 minutes to check us out because they couldn't figure out how to let us pay in part with excess CAD we had. Adding insult to injury was the fact that the hotel manager walked by us as his staff was visibly having trouble checking us out and said/did nothing. One of the bigger problems with this hotel was the noise level. We had read about this in other reviews on this site and figured it really couldn't be that bad. As an extra precaution, we asked for a quiet room. We unfortunately were put in front of the elevator, though I don't think another room would have made a difference. I don't know if it is the quality of construction or proximity to McGill but the room was very loud at night. Do not ignore this if you want a quiet hotel

The fitness center is awesome, as is the large bathroom and the shower's water pressure. The hotel itself is fairly standard but it is in a great, central location and perfectly fit the bill for our trip. The only annoyance is the $11/day wireless charge. You can easily get around it by signing up for the preferred guest program but they require all of your contact information and I have a feeling I'll be receiving more than my share of junk mail.

Location, comfortable bad, spacious room The corner windows in the room were poorly covered. Never totally dark in the room... Great hotel, ideally location close to all major amenities. The corner room they gave me was very spacious, but the corner windows had no curtains over them. At 5am, daylight was all over the room as if it was 9am. As a result, I didn't sleep too well. Regardless, this is a great hotel, comfortable beds, excellent service from staff. I'd recommand it, and would not mind stay there again...

the location was excellent and the room was lovely, but when we used the concierge twice, he was wrong twice - first time sending us somewhere to eat for breakfast that had closed down and second time telling us that a restaurant that we wanted to go to did not take reservations (they did, as we found out when we got there).

Stayed at the Mont Royal for the Society of Behavioral Medicine conference April 2009, though Mont Royal was not an official conference hotel. The Orbitz price was terrific and the location is great - paid extra for a high room with a view though the view was very limited. The first night a group of high school students were placed directly across the hall and had in and out traffic and noise all night. I spoke to the management the next morning and they assured me the students were leaving that day. However, that night two groups of college students from a large upstate NY university who were in Montreal for a formal were placed directly across the hall. I had to finally call the desk for security in the middle of the night as groups of drunk college students roamed the hall, yelling and partying. I don't blame either the high school or college students - they were paying customers as well. But I was unable to understand the room placements when the hotel was largely empty. The college students stayed on an additional night and another call for security was necessary. The worst part of this was the indifference of the staff in the middle of the night when the partying could be heard over the phone with the room door closed and locked. It was as though I was the problem, not the drunk and noisy students. The real problem was the staff who seemed just plainly unable to grasp a simple problem. Once security came up to my floor, the noise settled down and stayed relatively low through the remainder of the night. I would have to say that despite my love of Montreal, I would not stay in this hotel again under any circumstances.
