Great location for Riverwalk and surrounding activities. Was able to do all my sight seeing on foot; no car needed.

Large, stylish rooms. Did not have a good dining area. You had to eat at the bar or in the lobby. Nice hotel concept for a Hyatt. Small lobby and limited eating available. Should think about having a nicer restaurant, because there is not much in the area. The rooms were very nice and roomy. Big screen tv was nice. The hotel staff were very friendly.

The advertising photos were done so well you couldn't tell the room was tiny! We upgraded to riverside for a substantial price. This allowed us a view of the river at festival time with a very skinny balcony. Two people fit - kinda. The room had a fridge that was too full to use for your own beverages due to the fact it was filled with the hotels choice of what you should purchase from them at about 260% over retail. In room coffee maker was shoved in a cabinet and plugged in behind, such that it was nearly impossible to use, however , with determination you can produce a pot of some disgusting garbage resembling coffee. Hotel parking is not provided. Pay valet rates or park in public garage nearby. Room service got everything right- not once - not twice - well never. Good bedding - good view - good location - friendly staff. Otherwise, it's an extreme waste of money.

Although the hotel was in an ideal location on the Riverwalk, I discovered that booking a room on line does not always get you what you want. Our room was on the 2nd fl, down a partially opened hall way, passed a beautiful courtyard but our door faced an opposite wall and our room had no windows in it. We were very disappointed and was told by the front desk that unless we were willing to pay more, this is all they had to offer and that when booking on line, there were only certain rooms available. No free internet access or free continental breakfast. Bathroom had no air conditioning. The Holiday Inn Express I stayed at in Wichita Falls for half the price far surpassed this over priced yet charming hotel.

San Antonio Texas is a vibrant city with a rich past. It's storied past, historically and visually through it's new and old buildings, coexist beautifully in the 21st century. Omni La Mansion del Rio is a first class hotel, retaining the old world charm and architectural beauty of bygone days, yet blending in beautifully with the city and surrounding modern buildings. My wife and I visited the Alamo, Market Square, and the Riverwalk. Our biggest regret is that we only allowed ourselves an overnight stay. This was our first trip there, but it won't be our last. We will return, often, and for longer stays at the Omni La Mansion del Rio. The location is perfect, allowing very easy access to all tourist attractions, as well as to many fine restaurants located on the Riverwalk. La Mansion exudes warmth, is architectually appealing to the eye, and has a wonderfull staff.

We just stayed at the La Mansion for one night, but we had a blast. The room was beautiful, I had requested a riverview room, and we had the corner room overlooking the street and the river. It was a bit noisy on the street side, but not enough to be a bother. We did enjoy hanging out on our balcony. We went across the river and ate at Paesanos Italian resteraunt, which was suggested by a hotel employee. It was fabulous! It was slighty pricey but well worth it. We also went to Dirty Nellys pub, also a suggestion by an employee, and it was fun. Well worh a walk down the river. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. I would highly suggest to stay at this hotel. Its well worth the cost. My only compaint would be our breakfast at the hotel resteraunt. They were having some problems and we were told upon being seated that it would be at least 30 minutes for breakfast, so we had to go across the brigde to Pescas, but we had a lovely breakfast there. It was just a slight inconvienience. Overall, a great place to stay. We're already planning our next trip, and will most likely stay at La Mansion.

We went on a trip with the family to go to Seaworld for a couple of days. When I booked our reservation through the travel agency, I was told I would need to call the hotel to comfirm that we wanted 2 double beds since we had 4 people in our room. I called the hotel 2 weeks prior to our arrival. The lady in customer service assured me that there wouldn't be any problems with my request. Upon arrival we were told the hotel had been over booked, she said all they had was a king size bed available. I explained to her that I had confirmed that we wanted a river view room with 2 double beds and had been assured that there wouldn't be a problem. Since this wasn't possible, I said it really shouldn't be a problem because we have a 6 yr old and 3 yr. old. One child could sleep on the couch and the other in the king size bed with me and my husband. She then told me that there wasn't a couch in the room. I asked if they could bring a cot up to the room; she said they were completely out of cots too. At this point I was getting extremely frustrated because we had planned a relaxing week with our kids and it was going to be anything but relaxing due to our room situation. The lady at the front desk told me that when you book your room through the travel agency, basically you get what ever rooms are left over (basically the bottom of the barrel). Hotel manager was no help either. pd 300+ per night.

Very good customer service from the moment that we arrived. Fast and easy check in. We visited the River Walk, Alamo, and Market Square. Probably the only bad thing about the trip was the location of the mini bar in the room which was up against the bed and you could not open the door to get to the coffee maker or into the refigerator enough. One of the biggest high lights was the experience of the hotel Restaurant. What an experience. The food was great and the customer service was the best we have ever seen.

After reading several reviews online, I was a bit worried about our choice to stay at the Omni Mansion del Rio; however, I am happy to report that we found the hotel to be quite lovely and the location excellent. Upon arrival the staff made a very favorable impression, greeting me by name. We slurged on a Riverwalk view room as part of the Rio Weekend package. The package also included breakfast daily at either Las Canarias Restaurant in the Omni or in La Pesca at the Watermark, plus two riverboat tickets. We really enjoyed the package, especially the breakfasts, which would have been somewhat pricey otherwise. Of the two restaurants we liked La Pesca more for breakfast, but both were nice--right on the Riverwalk, which is very pleasant in the morning. Luckily, our room was on the 6th floor facing the Riverwalk, more or less in the middle of the hotel. In the evenings during the Labor Day weekend, you could barely hear the people outside enjoying the Riverwalk area. That said, it did not bother us. Yes, the rooms are small. There was not a lot of space to maneuver around the king-size bed. Still, everything was beautifully decorated. We love Spanish architecture and design, so this was the place for us. We decided to have dinner at La Pesca one night. The food and service were outstanding. Keep in mind that the Watermark Hotel and the Omni Mansion del Rio and their restaurants are all owned by the same company. This was nice because you could charge items to your room at either facility. Most importantly, the staff were very flexible and allowed a 5:00 pm check out time., which helped with a late flight departure. In sum, wonderful weekend!

I guess I've just kind of had it with so-called "upscale" hotels. The higher the room price, the more you have to pay for everything else. The room was nice, but rather small compared to the Sheraton Suites we had stayed at in Houston the night before. Flat screen TV was nice - but I wasn't there to watch TV. If you're prepared to let them do everything for you, pay their prices for Valet parking and room service, and tip everybody lavishly, you'll probably love this place. When we politely refused valet parking and attempted to get our things out of the car, the bell staff whipped open the car and pulled our stuff out. They would not let us use a cart to get our own things up to the room; they insisted we leave the keys while we took our things up, and then moved the car, changing the seat arrangement in the process. Bed was comfortable, but the super-heavy duvet covers are way too much and I hardly slept because I was so hot. There was no window to open, and I felt I had to keep the drapes closed on the french doors, making me feel like I was in the dark all the time. Internet costs extra , mini-bar is crammed full, and no room to put your own drinks or anything in the fridge. Staff is so eager to "sell" their services that I felt pressured. I guess I just want it both ways - the nice linens and rooms of the upscale, with the more practical refrigerator and free wi-fi. There was one thing I loved about the hotel - we walked out the back door straight onto the Riverwalk.

Delightful room and staff! Exceeded my expectations! Favorite hotel in San Antonio! As a frequent guest to San Antonio, this was our first stay at the Omni La Mansion Del Rio. It was perfect and will be the only hotel we stay at in the future!

The temperature at arrival time was about 53 degree and by evening it was about 44 degree; our room was about 58 degree. I instructed housekeeping to adjust the room thermator which wasn't working and never had anyone from houskeeping to followup. Needless to say, the ice-box room was way too cold for romancing. We had to shroten our stay and rented another room else where.

We stay at the Omni La Mansion de Rio to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary stay in San Antonio. This hotel is top notch and very beautiful. Upon arriving we were greeted and treated like royalty the entire stay. The location of this hotel on the riverwalk was great. We were very close to the restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again.

hotel was attractive, small rooms, pool was small but good for children. Food was over priced as was valet parking. Convenient to sites around San Antonio. Good location, right on the Riverwalk. People at the hotel were very helpful.

Hotel is beautiful and nicely located but the room I was given was on the street and faced a courtyard that was used by people from the bar late at night. It was a nosiy room. I would not use your service again if this is the kind of room I will receive.
