Nice hotel and we enjoyed the pool a lot...although there seemed to be a LOT of kids there the weekend we stayed. Front desk staff was very helpful and gave us a late checkout with no problem. They were also helpful suggesting restaurants and printing directions for us.

I was particularly impressed by the staff who were at all times courteous and friendly and went out of their way to help. The hotel is well laid out and has an excellent swimming pool and gymnasium. Rooms are of a high standard and I would recommend this hotel to all.

I throughly enjoyed my stay at the Omni for the Labor Day weekend. In fact, I continued another week at the hotel to discover more about Austin and how it has changed since I attended UT some 30 years ago. (yes I want to move back) The employees were most courteous and always went out of their way to make sure all my needs were met. They always ended our conversation with "it was my pleasure".When I needed to know where something was they printed me mapquest to and from my destination. My room was always cleaned and restocked with everything on a timely bases. The pools and spa area were also grand. They had fresh towels out on the lounge chairs daily and activities for the kids to keep them out of the adults way. After a few days they also greeted me with my personal name. I will always stay there in the future. What a bargain for what you get.

We had been while going to a tubing trip..this was an ideal place because of the location. For the price I paid it was a luxury. Overall no complaints.

I enjoyed my stay at the Omni Hotel Southpark. It can be a ways from the attractions of Austin if you do not have a car to get around in. We ended up paying quite a bit in taxi fairs throughout our stay. The hotel also does not have a free continental breakfast. The restraunt is nice but ban be expensive espeically for breakfast. The pool was one of the best features of the motel. It is open 24 hours and with the nice Texas weather it is quite enjoyable during the evening hours.

Not a luxury hotel but very nice, modern and clean. The pool was great and the breakfast brunch very good. However the relaxed atmosphere was the best, great staff.

The hotel overall was very classy and offered many amenities that would justify the price we paid (indoor/outdoor pool, fitness center, valet, etc). Unfortunately, the room is very standard - king bed, tv, radio, small bathroom. Compared to a room at La Quinta, the only difference would be in the brand names of the furniture. We couldn't even open the refridgerator without a special key (glad we didn't have leftovers). I would definitely skip room service in favor of Austin's awesome restaurants, and bring your own bottles of water back to the hotel (unless you want to spend $5 a pop for Evian!) Bottom line is that, if I had been able to use all the amenities that came with what I paid, I might have felt the price is justified. The hotel would be worth the expense if you are traveling without kids and want to spend time relaxing in the pool or kicking back in the bar.

We arrived after 10 P.M. and the night staff was rude, incompetent, and uncaring. The shower lacked water pressure. Our room service food arrived cold. We tried to contact the front desk for a cab and no one answered. We had to go downstairs and call a cab ourselves. If not for the amazing service we received the following morning, we would have changed hotels. Multiple members of the day staff actually thanked us for staying at their hotel. "

Overall a very nice place to stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable, nice pool and workout facility. I wish that they had a shuttle before 7am. The restaurant was not so good. The steak I ordered was overcooked and tough. I would have reordered but the flies were getting bad. The dining experience was not anywhere near the level of the rest of the hotel.

The Hotle can be a bit hard to find. You will have to drive to site seeing locations in Austin but it isn't loud like a lot of the downtoen hotels. The King bed was fantastic, followed closely by the pool, workout room and pool area.

We came out to Austin to see my son who has recently relocated. We had a wonderful experience. Your hotel is beautiful, clean and your staff is very helpful and friendly. In my opinion the only thing lacking is restaurant options. It would be nice if the rooms had a small refrigerator and microwave to cut costs for the travelers on a budget. It's always nice to have a few convenient items on hand in your room especially when a traveler is staying several days.

this hotel is average at best and is located in the middle of nowhere and walking distance from nothing.

This was a nice hotel with friendly staff however there are small trees all around it. Consequently, the hotel is literally engulfed by birds. Expect to have to wash your vehicle or your hair if you're outside very long. I also had an unusual experience of someone throwing a bottle of lotion from one of the balconies above. It exploded about three feet from my vehicle as I was cleaning it sending lotion everywhere. I couldn't believe it when it happened again about five minutes later with a bottle of conditioner. At this point I alerted security. Two fellows came out to try to figure out which of the Half a dozen balconies it could have come from. They took my name and room number and decided to go to the rooms to see which one was missing the two bottles. I hope whoever did this was caught. If one of the bottles had hit me, it could have been serious. I stayed there several days. I haven't heard anymore about it. Thanks, Phillip C.

We only stayed one night, but the beds were very comfortable, room was very nice and the pool and area were nice as well. Check-in was easy and the lady who greeted us was very nice. No complaints. Lovely hotel and nice gift shop by the elevators for quick breakfast and coffee.

"2 adults in king bedroom. No noise (but, we were at END of hall). Bed was soooo soft: down comforter and many many pillows. Bathroom clean and wonderful. Pool was AWESOME - immaculate w/fresh towels everywhere."

Not a very good stay. I had called the hotel the day before to confirm and make sure they new we would be 9 pm arriving. Asked them to please hold a king room on a non smoking floor. Arrived and got a dbl on a smoking floor. They were fully booked friday night and said because I had booked through a 3rd party, I got what I got. Had lots of young people staying at the property. Had to call front desk at close to 2 am to ask that they get the party in room next door to quiet down. Then other side of our room had young children up at 7 am. Saturday night, young people partying at pool. We were on the 3rd floor overlooking pool and put up with the noise until after 1 am. Had a tub that did not drain. So you stood in 5 inches of water by the time shower was over. However, the pool was very nice and we enjoyed the hamburgers cooked out by the pool.

"Despite having a later checkin time they were able to accomodate and find a room earlier than expected. Room was very clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Sometimes you could hear people in the next room when you were in the bathroom and the air conditioning was a little noisy. Otherwise, I highly recommend staying here and will do so myself next time I'm in Austin."

Great price(especially for the Memorial holiday weekend), friendly staff, clean rooms, and great location. Situated close to the lakes for jet skiing, shopping areas, downtown, and restaurants. Nice indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. Pool showers, bathrooms, and towels provided. All staff members were so friendly. The only problem we had was that the only room available at the time of our check-in was a smoking room. That section did smell a little smoky, but it was a holiday weekend and we booked at last minute. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Very noisy from major traffic highways if on that side of building. Got very little sleep even though the room and service was nice.

Great location... close to downtown and other attractions. Not a very good view from our room, but I'm sure the higher floors had a better view. Check-in staff could have been friendlier, but it was a holiday weekend, so they were probably worn out. Bell hops were extremely friendly though. Plenty of parking. Safe area. Overall a pleasant experience.
