I enjoyed the high level of service and our beautiful room.

Initially leery due to previous reviews; however, my experience with the Omni Riverfront Hotel was surprisingly one that went beyond my expectations. I found the staff exceptionally freindly, helpful, and supportive. I had left food that I had intended to take back to my rm after eating in the restaurant and the staff @ the restaurant refrigerated than later brought the food to my rm once I returned back to my room several hours later. The front desk staff on duty upon check-in were both friendly, hospitable, humorous, and seem genuinely concern to do all they could to make my stay enjoyable. It felt more of a bed and breakfast than an hotel, or the feel of staying amongst friends. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Omni and it will defintiely be my hotel of choice whenever I am in the city of Detroit. One last note, the rooms are done in good taste (European) and the bed very comfortable with excellent housekeeping staff. In my opinion, this is a first class establishment from all points!

The hidden treasure is truly one to visit...if you want a romatic getaway with a beautiful view of the River this is the place to be. Located in of Downtown Detroit close to all the happenings in Detroit. People will say where did you go this weekend, tell them that you went to Detroit..I did and I live, love and play here.

"As a frequent business traveler, I hesitated to book more than 2 nights at a time. Not sure of service, quality or elegance I did however. I was remarkable surprise at its serenity, elegance and price. Furthermore, its hidden secret are the about of celebrities that quietly stayed there. Sorry that slipped !!!! It has now become the only place that me or my associates, ""Abvone Properties"" will ever stay or host business meetings...."

The people at this property were amazing, friendly and a joy to be arround. The bar and restaurant was fun and the food was delish! The bartender and waitresses were awesome. The bed in our room was extremely comfortable. I totally enjoyed my stay. Its hidden down a weird ally way, but wow the view of the water is really pretty.

Very nice. Not in downtown Detroit.

i looked at just about every 4star hotel in detroit. i wanted my stay to be very welcoming. the views on the web site is nothing like it is in person. the day staff was very pleasant, along with th nite valet. i expected the hotel to be top of the line and it was not. i will not stay there ever again. what's bad about the situation is that i used to live in detroit. i guess moving to the south gives you a perspecitve that you would not normally have living in the city. i would have been better off staying at residence inn.

The Omni in Detroit was great we stayed just overnite but we were very comfortable and treated by very helpful and friendly staff. The room was clean and the bed is the most comfortable we had ever sleeped in.I would highly recomend it to anyone that is in this area.

The bed was really comfortable, and the staff was very nice. The bar and restaurant were closed by the time we got there.

"The Omni is in the old Stroh's brewery HQ and has the quality of constructed buildings of that era going for it. Although stairs are required to get to your room, my stay was great. Nice and quiet. Cable was great. No bed bugs as a previous review had stated. Housekeeping was unable to retrieve a hat that was left behind and I am waiting to hear back from staff regarding this request."

High class with no attitude. No major problems. Relaxing, friendly, accommodating, great location on the river.

"Broken shower handle (how did housekeeping miss this when cleaning?). Fitness area dirty and smelly, not to mention you have to walk across a courtyard. Beautiful view of river. Front desk staff was friendly, but robotic, didn't address concerns very well. Other staff - very friendly - great shuttle service. There are definitely nicer hotels in the Detroit area. Can't believe this is an Omni Hotel."

I liked the view of the river. It is an older building.

When the service was great it was really great and when it was off it was really off. valet service was excellent but lunch at fenders was really slow. in room hotel book was missing menus and had false information in it i.e. in room movies. probably would not go back only because of location would probably go to greektown

Rooms are very nice, staff very friendly. Inconvenient location for downtown, pool in another building. It's good for the money or if a couple wants to hole up in their room and order room service. You can get downtown via a shuttle but it doesn't run all night and is sporadic. Pool in another building so we didn't use it. But for money, it's still a nice hotel and in the summer, access to Riverfront is nice.

"Nice staff, large rooms, fantastic beds. Free shuttle service was prompt & efficient. Some improvements needed: 1) only one restaurant (like a sports bar/pub) located in the 'basement' (dark); 2) restaurant service was very, very, very slow 3) no pay-per-view movies available 4) fitness center was good, but located across a courtyard from the hotel, so must carry gear there (& no locks on the gym lockers either). All in all, a good hotel, but could be much better with a few improvements."
