Arrived Friday evening for a wedding, and checking in was fast and easy. Room was definitely large enough for two people to comfortably get ready at the same time. Went to the Black Swan both nights and had a great time, full of people but not too crowded. The police were a little antsy about getting people out when it closed but otherwise it was fun. Pool on Saturday was also fun and well-attended. Really friendly, funny staff at the poolside bar.

Convenient. We were given twin beds instead of king even though hotel was nearly empty.

The Omni Houston Hotel was really close to where we were located. It was a very nice hotel and I very much enjoyed my trip. I would recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Houston. The rooms were very large and the beds were extreamly comfortable. I think that anyone traveling with friends or even families would enjoy this hotel.

I had asked for 2 non-smoking rooms with preference for them to be conjoining rooms or at least on the same floor. I had called into Orbitz a few weeks ahead of the date to make sure I could request this. I got 2 smoking rooms across the hall from each other, with one of them conjoining to another room. It was also located right on top of their club, so we heard everything. When asked if we could switch rooms, they told us that they were all booked up and since I pre-paid there was nothing I could really do about it. So I over-paid for two rooms where everyone got sick from the smoke and couldn't get a good night's rest because of the club. I felt that my preferences were not taken into account and that I would prob. in the future not use Orbitz and will just pay a little bit more to make sure I get what I want.

Friendliness of staff and beautiful pool area. Person who loaded our bags as we left was not respectful of us or our things. Excellent forthe experience.

We tried checking in at 2 PM with a confirmed reservation and were told no rooms were available. However, members of a large group attending a football game were allowed to check in early. I. The free parking is too far away especially during a rainstorm. The hallway and room smelled terrible like far too much air freshener was used to cover some other smell. The bathroom is outdated and needs updating. The lobby is beautiful and the waiters were wonderful and helpful.

As indicated in the Review, the Omni Houston Hotel has the comfort level of a family run facility, yet it bosts the looks and feel of an exclusive private resort. Proper service was insured throughout my stay at this particular facility and it was a pleasure to have been served there. The room, with its amenities served to be quite adequate to my needs and I felt very safe within the hotel's grounds and buildings. I will be planning a stay at another Omni Hotel in the future, when the opportunity calls for it.

Room is very spacious and quiet. The hotel staff from the valet, to the front door man to the front desk clerks etc. very, friendly and polite. I would recommend this place to my friends and would stay here again

Our stay was wonderful; room clean and modern; staff friendly and helpful. Difficulty in finding worth it--like an oasis in middle of metropolitan city. I've stayed in hotels all over the world, and the Omni Houston deserves 4-star rating. Parking rate is reasonable compared to other large cities.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. Rooms need to be remodeled. Hotel rooms are a bit dated. Bed was comfortable. Valet was very efficient. Staff was excellent and friendly. Pool area is really cool. If they remodeled the rooms, it would probably be one of the best hotel locations in Houston.

We looked for 1 hour to find the place. The rooms where outdated. Floor was nasty. They tell you there is free parking which is about a good 10 minute walk if you don't have any luggage. If you want to park in their self park garage that's $9 or have valet do it for you for $18.

"Overall positive experience. Only had one problem w.r.t. two separate beds vs. one bed, and they insisted it was my mistake (it wasn't). I think they should have given me the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise, everything has been great. Rooms are adequate, and have wifi. Also, there are computers in the lobby. General atmosphere in the hotel is good. Location is right in the heart of downtown. Regarding other comment about homeless closeby, that's unfortunately downtown Houston for you. Hotel is within a short walk from lots of nighttime entertainment."

Not very accessible for those in wheelchairs (especially children heading to the pool).

The lobby and pool areas are really nice. Parking charge was $15.00 per day unless you parked a long ways away. The hotel lobby and amenities were very nice and upscale. The room was older and not updated. The parking was $15.00 per day to park near the hotel. Their was available free parking in a garage at the back of the hotel but you had to walk too far.

Nothing about this hotel is worth mentioning. From the moment I step foot in this hotel until I left. Horrible service. Called ahead to get a non-smoking room. I was told that would not be a problem. During check-in, they said they have no more non-smoking room, however, if I pay $50.00 more, they can give me a non-smoking room.
