This hotel is in a prime downtown location. A walk away from the capitol, the university, and all of the downtown bars and clubs, as well as the Warehouse district. The staff service was excellent! I was however dissatisfied with the fact that there was no type of radio in the rooms (ie.. clock radio, etc.). Overall, the stay was wonderful and I would definitely stay at the Omni hotel in the future.

This hotel provided a spectacular view of the city of Austin. To watch the sunrise at the rooftop pool could only be topped by the ability to see the sun set which you could not. Overall this is a great hotel and I would stay here again.

there are two things that are good about this place....the beds are very comfortable and the location in excellent, but who ever put in the rugs in the rooms did not know how to measure accurately, because it was missing about half an inch on the sides. the pool was too small and you if you wanted something to drink at the pool side, you had to pay for it in cash, because you could not charge it to the room.

Great location. Friendly staff. Sheets were not up to $ star quality (stiff not luxurious). The hotel is showing some signs of age (e.g. hallway carpets stained/worn, bathroom countertops are formica, etc.).

The hotel came with high reviews, so my expectations were high as well. The room was surprisingly outdated, especially the decor of the bathroom. It was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, but I was awaken from 2am to 5am several times from screaming/music/cars honking/alarms because of the room's proximity to 6th street. It was great to be close to go out and not worry about parking, but the noise would be a drawback. I was also surprised to pay an extra 15 a night to park my own car. They have a very professional and courteous staff, and we did have a good overall experience.

With the exception of no pool access, this was a great hotel.

I will never stay at the Omni Austin Downtown again. When we arrived to check in there was a wedding party in progress in one of the rooms off of the lobby. Little did I know that over 9 hours later the wedding guests would be allowed to run amok throughout the hotel and lobby screaming until 2AM. Despite several calls to the front desk and manager nothing was done. There were at least 30-40 people gathered together screaming and yelling and the management refused to do anything about it. I am sure it had something to do with the fact that they had spent a lot of money at the hotel, whereas other guests would have been thrown out, arrested, or at least asked politely to be quiet. The entire hotel staff refused to say one word to them, maybe they were scared. This nonsense went on until at least 2AM and woke up plenty of people in the hotel, but apparently the ordinary guests aren't as valued as those who can shell out the extra cash. Terrible experience and in my opinion someone should have lost their job over it.

the lobby bar is great - lots of locals even come by after work. The staff is very nice. Wonderful beds and the rooms are very clean!

Overall, the location is the only thing good about the hotel. The bathroom is very outdated. Walls rotted out, bathtub stained, etc.

I have been at other Omni hotels (Houston) and this one at Austin, is one of the worst hotels I have been regarding the service and the room environment. The management of this hotel seems to be very careless regarding the service and the rooms. Furniture was very old and dirty. Carpet was very old and dirty. Room was very small. Bathroom, very dirty! The only nice feature the room had was the fact that had a spacious walk-in closet. The bad thing about the closet, it did not have a plug to connect the iron! I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

I enjoyed my stay here very much. With the exception of the parking situation, it was perfect. The beds and the bedding are wonderful!

This is a very nice hotel, just a couple of blocks from 6th street. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very nice, updated, well appointed. Room service was prompt.

Great overall hotel. Parking was expensive ($18) and there were some very loud drunken people who were shouting in the hallway around 1am.

The hotel is beautiful. It is in a convenient location, and has a great rooftop pool. We had a room with a connecting door to the adjacent room. The voices from our neighbors carried through. We asked to be relocated. The staff obliged without hesitation. They gave us a nice quiet room with a great view. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

I was very disappointed! Not 4-star; not even 3-star! Small, not-updated room (furniture & fixtures 10+ yrs old). Only bed and cheap table with old, hard, metal chair. Dirty walls with bright florescent light as only light source. No ice machine, waited 45 minutes for ice after 3 calls to room service. Cheap.

My room had recently been remodeled. Very nice with amenities. Location is good but the views are not as good as the other 4 star hotels in town. Valet parking was extremely expensive and very slow to retrieve my car. I liked the fact they allowed dogs which is a big concern when I am on a leisure trip because I travel with my dog. Great hotel and the staff were efficient. I would not hesitate to stay at the Omni again. Very good experience.

Beautiful hotel within just a few blocks of 6th Street. Our room was a little on the small side, but beautifully furnished, great bed, nice atrium view from corner window. Hotel staff is very friendly. Be prepared for expensive parking!

Wish there had been notice of construction going on at hotel from 8 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, it was so loud that we had to leave our room.

This was customer service at its best! I had been to many hotels in my life, hotels of various ratings, and none compares to this place in terms of how well we were treated. The food was also amazing in their restaurants! The pineapple upside down cake was a must.
