All the staff were really helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable. The view might not appeal to some as the windows faced onto the inner atrium. Great location at one end of the pedestrian mall where all the shops and restaurants are. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The restaurant was very good. The king roomI booked was not available. We had a very pleasant stay, the Omni is right on a pedestrian walk way that is a must.

Some reviews stated "not worth the price". Well ok, but what your paying for is location, and this place couldn't be located in a better place. While there are a couple of hotels that are less expensive, none put you right on the MALL like the Omni. Plus, getting to Montecello couldn't be easier. It's only about a 15 minute ride away. A couple of previous reviewers stated the sheets were rough. Uh? The sheets were just fine, and the bed was darn nice too. Staff was very pleasent and helpful, and the room was clean. No, it's not the Four Seasons, but it's a very nice hotel in a college town. There are plenty of places on and just off the Mall to eat. On the Mall, the Nook has an inexpensive menu for breakfast. Also on the Mall, was Baggby's where your order for lunch is taken on a brown paper bag, and delivered to you in that same bag. Sandwiches made here are great. The locals line up at lunch time at Baggby's. Great Italian food can be had at Sal's Caffe on the Mall. While the wait can be a little longer than other places for your food to arrive, you'll be glad you toughed it out. The food is excellent. If your in the mood for craft beer and a burger, South Street Brewery one block off the Mall has great burgers and beer. As I said before, while the Omni Hotel is a little more expensive than other places, It's a very nice hotel, in a great location and puts you where all the action in Charlottesville takes place.

If you want a guaranteed clean, comfortable, nice hotel room in Charlottesville, this is the place. You get what you pay for with this hotel, and if you sign up for their preferred member deal online, you get free wireless internet. Also, there is free parking on-site. If I go back to C-ville, I will stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with a great location on the downtown mall. My room was located right off the elevator. I wondered. This is a beautiful hotel. The room was gorgeous, and very comfortable. I was a bit disappointed that breakfast wasn't included for the price of this hotel. Also my room was located right off the main location of the elevator. This would have been a problem if I was traveling over a weekend. Also it was over the parking garage so the view was of the top of the parking garage. I wondered. I should have asked for a different room.

The sheets were not soft at all, the room was not that clean, but the staff was very nice and helpful.

We traveled to Charlottesville so we could explore the area's history, specifically Monticello and James Monroe's home. The hotel was fantastic with a great location. We walked down Main Street to "The Main Street Market" where we enjoyed the lovely bakery and coffee shop with other locals and students at the Main Street Market. We also suggest walking down the pedestrian mall and maybe stopping in to ice skate, which is all adjacent to the hotel. The hotel was beautiful and clean and the staff was very accomodating and friendly from the valet to the desk clerks with whom we checked in and out. If we return to Charlottesville, we would stay at the Omni Hotel every time.

Had a Very nice stay, the Hotel did have some renovations going on, but did a nice job at keeping that away from all the guests. 01-17-09 As expected, all nice Hotels have to have that to keep up with the times and keep things fresh. The location was Great and the Hotel is awesome with it's 7 story atruim and glass elevator. It is located in a historic part of town and has a nice outdoor mall style walk with shops and lots of places to eat, even though we found the food on site to be pleasing and nice as well. Great stay and we will go back again and again.

I left behind an expensive item in this hotel. I called the same day when I realized what I did. I left a message to the housekeeping manager - no call back. Nothing had been turned in but he was going to check with the person who cleaned my room the next day (when he/she worked again) and would for sure call me.

The Omni Charlottesville has an ideal location, right in downtown and within walking distance of cafes bars galleries etc. It has been re-done with down comforters, nice sheets and pillows, and an upgraded bath area with lighted makeup mirror. I thought it was a little expensive but it's really the best place to stay in Charlottesville on short notice.

The location. The decor seemed outdated. Great location, friendly staff.

"We stayed here because of the proximity to the Downtown Mall. We received good service and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom could have been cleaner, but the hotel overall was quite nice. The omelet bar was delicious."
