Hmm 5 Star? I dont think so. Me and some friends stayed there and got the Deluxe room online for a fairly good price from their own website. Tried for an upgrade at the front desk but nothing. When we first walked in the room it smelled like Clorox and it was pretty strong. Called front desk and no rooms availbale. It was a smaller room then what it looked like in the pictures they have, small beds, outdated furniture, old Tv, bath tub got clogged the first day, AC wasnt working so called for that, then the AC fan started making noises and was told by the maint guy that it was normal and to keep it on low, what else... pretty much the room was not anything close to 5, more like 2.5 to 3 star. The people at the front desk and valet was nice. I would not stay there again thats for sure. The location was great so if your looking for an alright room at a decent price its good place for that.

Was in N.Y. to celebrate daughter birthday and had requested High room and called desk staff 2 times prior to arrival to let them know this was a special trip. My expectations were not met. Nothing special for birthday and on 7th of 21 floors. Was offered a room with cot or fold out couch, not a good option for 3 adults. The hotel locatioon was great. Close to everything. The hotel was nice but I was disappointed. Daughters had no problem with placement. If you have special request talk to the manager and dont leave request to staff. We loved N.Y. and overall the experience was good. (The manager did address my complaints after we left).

I love this hotel. I think it is great value for the money. The location is fabulous. We ate at 2 great restaurants , each about 1 1/2 blocks away. It is also within walking distance of the theatres, stores, and some museums. The staff is friendly and always willing to help.

The doorman promplly brought our luggage to the front desk nad returned to his post, I had to find him to tip him. Our reservations were in order and our room available at noon. The room was spacious with a king bed.dresser/wardrobe, large bathroom with plenty of towels and a lounging tub. Bell service was informative and gave us good directions to our immediate destination. The location was central for our purposes, near shopping, Museum of Modern Art, theatre and restaurants. we were greeted each time we returned by at least 2 people.The only complaints were there was no TV remote in the room and we did not report it to management. One of 3 phones did not work and the maintainence staff appeared within 5 minutes of reporting the problem. The other is the high charges for a continental breakfast.

Clean/tidy rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Centrally located in Manhattan. Sounds silly, but I couldn't find one of those kiosks with the fliers for local activities. Made up for by great concierge services. Bathrooms, bedrooms were very clean and tidy. Normally I would not even consider taking a bath (opposed to a shower) in a hotel bathroom but the level of perceived sanitation was such that I would have considered it had the inclination struck me. The bed was quite comfortable relative to other hotel mattresses though it wasn't quite at the same caliber as the foam mattress I have at home. The drapes did a great job of blocking out the sun, I found myself sleeping through more of my vacation than I had anticipated due to the cozy bed and low lighting. Rooms seemed to be well insulated from neighboring rooms but I could have just had quiet neighbors.

The Omni staff were very accomodating & especially friendly. Great location. Breakfast was VERY pricey, but good. Isadora's, just across the street, had great food, snack & breakfast prices. Would love to go back to the Omni.

This was the best vacation we have ever taken. Loved New York, all the attractions, the hotel and its staff were amazing, they treated you like family or long lost friends if I ever get the chance to come to New York again I will absolutely stay at Omni Berkshire Place!!! We didn't wanna leave...

The staff was friendly, bed was comfortable, safe in room, and they gave away free apples. Poor TV, elevator shook and I thought I was going to die, charged for a fax I received, broken towel bar, charge for internet. This hotel is an average hotel. Rooms are fairly small, but clean. TV's are very old and reception is poor. The towel bar in the room was broke and kept falling off the wall. Rooms didn't have bathrobes or umbrella. The staff was friendly. I didn't like the location, as there wasn't much I liked to do in the immediate area. I Enjoy times square area better, but if you like shopping on 5th Ave, the location would be good. They also tend to nickel and dime you with the prices they charge for Internet and faxes. Everything is extra. Many hotels do not charge for these things. Someone sent me a fax and they charged me $2.00.

Location was superb for walking to many points of interest. Not a thing. The location was great or walking to many of the highlights of NY, The hotel staff was friendly rooms were lovely.

My husband worked while I went shopping and to shows. There are two doormen at the Omni that must be the best in NYC helping me get around the city, where to purchase, places to go, etc. We stayed three weeks in the Madison Suite and during this time, we had turn-down service with chocolates on our pillows each night. The restaurant isn't much to talk about. The hotel is in the perfect location and has a lovely, inexpensive hair/nail salon across the street along with Versace, Ann Taylor Loft, Cartier.etc. Great stay!

Omni Berkshire Place was terrific with large rooms that were clean and quiet, a great location, and a very helpful concierge staff. They answered all my questions and even lent me an umbrella.

Location was great, close to everything. Small, outdated rooms. Small bathrooms. This hotel has a great location but the rooms are outdated and small. They kept forgetting to provide a top sheet on our bed and we had to request this sheet on three separate nights even though each time they said that they would make sure it was taken care of each day. Very odd that they want their guest to use a general comforter as a top sheet, a comforter that every other guest has touched and used. Very strange.
