From Senai Airport by taxi:
This is a pre-paid service and you have to buy coupons at the counter in the Arrival concourse. Just mention you need to go to OKID Hotel in Permas Jaya 10/7. The fare is about RM40.00 normally and the journey takes about 30 minutes.

From Senai Airport by Express Coach Service:
Purchase your ticket on arrival concourse. The bus will stop at Larkin Bus Terminal. There will be shuttle buses to send you to Permas Jaya. Drop off at the MacDonald, Permas Jaya. We are about 200 meters away.

From the Train Station:
Get a taxi in front of the Train Station and mention Okid Hotel in Permas Jaya 10/7.

As a budget traveller, this is a "A" class hotel. Clean and Cheap. Plenty of food outlets nearby, staffs can speak English... Only complain... no lift.

I was booked into Okid Cottage as the information supplied was it was in Johor Bahru, wrong it was a 20 minute taxi ride. On arrival it was nothing like the information in the book. The rooms were small ,no window and the area was like a housing area. I went to find a shop to use a computer to find other accommodation. The computer had keys missing so I was unable to use it and there was not as shop opened in the area. Finally I asked the Okid to ring a taxi for me to go back into Johor Bahru to find accommodation.I lost the money I had paid in advance for two rooms There is nothing in the area to do so one would need a taxi to travel anywhere. Not even good for Backpackers because of the taxi fare and so isolated.

My stuff has been stolen directly from the room on 26.01.2009 when I left my key to the receptionist while going off to a shop. Receptionist did not allow me to contact the manager and discuss the issue. I tried to make a complain and leave the hotel, though they did not want to refund my money for following days I already payed for in advance. I needed to contact the police, which a few hours later came there and resolved the issue. Okid Cottage totally spoiled mine and my girlfriend's holidays. I sincerely regret my choice.

it is good value for money place comparable to other hotels in Johor Bahru. Its a bit far from the city itself but i have no complaints about the price and room comfort.
