Ohtel

Located right on the Wellington coast, the Ohtel is actually built into the side of a cliff. The hotel is close to Waitangi Park, Oriental Bay Beach, and Te Papa Museum, and it offers guests easy access to many of the city’s attractions, restaurants, and businesses. Guests of the Ohtel can get around Wellington on foot or through the public transportation system.

The ten guestrooms of the Ohtel are decorated in individual styles featuring some of the same artifacts that are to be found throughout the hotel. The rooms all include en-suite bathrooms with heated tile floors, large showers, and two-person tubs, and all rooms include coffee and tea making facilities, minibars, and fridges as well as Internet access, and televisions.

This contemporary hotel is decorated in interesting cabinets, chairs, tables, and lamps that the owner has collected with the hotel in mind. The Ohtel features a lobby with a gas fireplace, an on-site restaurant serving meals, snacks, and desserts throughout the day; the restaurant has a long list of available wines, as well. The hotel also has a small fitness center, and discounts are offered to guests who want to work out at a larger facility nearby.
