The service was very good when we first checked in and while we were there. My problem was when we checked out. Our pickup time was at 6p.m. ,check out at the hotel was 11a.m. We asked at the desk about our luggage it was kept in a secure area till time for departure which was a great help to us. But the wait in the lobby was something to be desired. We had a hard time using the bathrooms as a key card had to be used even in the lobby area, and our key cards expiered at 12 noon. The desk people acted offended because we asked to use the facilities we were also told that we would be allowed the use of a room to freshenup before we left for our flight no one seemed to know what we were talking about. Had we known the trouble we would have it would have been to our advantage to book the room for one more day even if we didn't stay the night. The room we were in could have used some updating but the maid service was very good as was the help we recieved when we needed help getting from one place to another. Overall for the price the hotel was good and in a great location for the area and beach.

The cost came out more than expected, the bathroom was supper small, there was no tub, the fridge was so tiny and there was no microwave. Plus the hotel staff was always standing by the elevators constantly.

I really enjoyed the pool area - there was plenty of room in both the sun and shade and there was a nice lounge area to relax and listen to music or watch tv and play pool - plenty of entertainment. The rooms were clean and comfortable - tiny bathrooms - huge verandas. Location was good - short walk to beach and plenty of shops and places to eat right at your doorstep. would recommend and would stay there again.

Over all the hotel was OK. The location was great and the staff was nice; especially the maids. But the room did not look as nice as the pictures. The room was small, especially the bathroom. The hall ways had a funny smell. My 10 year old daughter kept complaining of the smell everytime we walked in the hall way. She did not like the hotel at all. The parking was terrible. We paid 18/day for parking that was too small and hard to get in and out of. On some weekends, I was not able to get out of the parking lot because my car was blocked by another car. I had to wait for about 15 minutes before someone moved the other car. This hotel needs to be renovated.

The hotel has a fast food restaurant in the ground floor and it smells of fired fat on all floors. The hotel is a bit worn out and not impressive for that price at all. Maybe it is still good value for Hawaii. The location is okay and it is only a few minutes walk to the beach.

upon arrival the room we were given was still in use but front desk corrected with better room and complinetary chocolates. the room was kinda shabby, wall paper coming off wall, missing floor molding, etc.... but overall the room was fine- - good shower! the hotel is situated centrally so was easy to get in and out from parking garage, but don't take any large scale car in there! overall, the hotel is fine, good value for money and location- too busy to get to pool area.

The pool deck was great, sun all day. Some rooms had a mildrew smell but the phone use was great. Over all a good place to stay.

Hotel wasn't luxurious or anything, but it was nice and clean and well worth it. Location was the key element, too. All bus lines stopped right in front of it and a short walk to the beach 2 blocks gave us a chance to browse through little strands in the international market place that was also right across the street from the Ohana West. We got the corner room on the 10th floor so we had a great view out the window on 2 sides of the islands through balcony on 1 side and large window on the other. The shower was great. The pressure was so high and water temp. So steady, great back massage after the long day. One thing that was not so great was a noise coming up from the street. That city never sleeps and Kuhio Ave is a busy one, if not the busiest. I think I wouldn't mind staying at that hotel again for the same price that is.

I just needed a room and this was more than adequate. There is nothing fancy here and no amenities to speak of. It was fine for the price but you won't get internet and parking will be $13 a day - so be aware of that. The elevators were poor and it took a while to get one. If you are on a small budget and can deal with a simple small room with no frills - this hotel will suffice.
