The hotel was alright. The king size bed has a lot of rooms for a couple. The only thing that is not so great about it the elevator comes to a strong (shook) stop when it reaches a level. The gives you a head ache.

I liked the location and price that I paid for the room. That we were on the 16th floor.

Great location in Waikiki. Room facing towards the back had no view but was pretty good in terms of noise levels (not facing onto the main road). Room was comfortable, bathroom was a little small & could use a revamp. BEWARE the concierge trying to sell Timeshare!!! Did not expect this kind of marketing to take place right inside the hotel to guests of the hotel...

The service was very good when we first checked in and while we were there. My problem was when we checked out. Our pickup time was at 6p.m. ,check out at the hotel was 11a.m. We asked at the desk about our luggage it was kept in a secure area till time for departure which was a great help to us. But the wait in the lobby was something to be desired. We had a hard time using the bathrooms as a key card had to be used even in the lobby area, and our key cards expiered at 12 noon. The desk people acted offended because we asked to use the facilities we were also told that we would be allowed the use of a room to freshenup before we left for our flight no one seemed to know what we were talking about. Had we known the trouble we would have it would have been to our advantage to book the room for one more day even if we didn't stay the night. The room we were in could have used some updating but the maid service was very good as was the help we recieved when we needed help getting from one place to another. Overall for the price the hotel was good and in a great location for the area and beach.

Very helpful, didnt care for the timeshare reps at hotel. Need better maps of the island. The trolly was great for getting around but when you have an elderly parent they should wait until he sits down before starting the trolly forward. This always happened.

Over all the hotel was OK. The location was great and the staff was nice; especially the maids. But the room did not look as nice as the pictures. The room was small, especially the bathroom. The hall ways had a funny smell. My 10 year old daughter kept complaining of the smell everytime we walked in the hall way. She did not like the hotel at all. The parking was terrible. We paid 18/day for parking that was too small and hard to get in and out of. On some weekends, I was not able to get out of the parking lot because my car was blocked by another car. I had to wait for about 15 minutes before someone moved the other car. This hotel needs to be renovated.

Great staff, very pleased with the room. The elevator operated by room key card and was a bit tricky. We had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful.

The hotel offered us an excellent upgrade deal, which gave us a better room, better view, and a kitchenette which practically paid for the upgrade!

The staff and accommodations were excellent. The parking garage was pretty cramped. This hotel was everything most of the moderately priced Ohana hotels are great service, friendly staff, beautiful accommodations, decent prices, great location, clean, and small but easily maneuverable in. I have stayed in Hawaii four times now and every time has been in an Ohana hotel. I will continue to stay in the Outrigger family.

Despite the rooms in this hotel being pretty average, it has a lot going for it. The primary one is the location. It is very central, is right opposite the international market, has a trolley stop outside, has a supermarket very close by and is one block to the beach. For the price, this makes it a winner. Additionally, it has free internet access if you have your own laptop, free local and USA and Canada calls and the trolley to Ala Moana is free if you show your room card. The hotel was renovated about two years ago but it is still pretty drab and the view for most rooms is onto other rooms or other apartments. Still, it does have a balcony. The rooms have a small kitchenette which is quite handy. These have a coffee maker, toaster, microwave and mini stove and fridge so you can do some basic cooking or at least have breakfast comfortably. If you're trying to keep the costs down a bit but still want to be central, this is a good hotel. Just don't expect it to be dead glam.

We had a two-room suite with kitchenette, as we were travelling with our adult daughter. The first one we were given, on the tenth-floor, was not well-dusted, and the dinette table had been left sticky. When I turned down the spread and the top sheet of the king-size bed, I discovered that, although the sheets were crisp, there were hairs in the bed. I called the front desk twice before they sent someone from housekeeping to change the sheets. There was so much noise until around 2:30am that none of us could sleep, and this after a full day of travel from the East Coast to get there. The following morning, we asked to be moved to a quieter location and were given another, similar, suite, this time on the 12th floor, facing away from the street. The person at the front desk said there is often a problem with noise from revelers who go from bar to bar, including the one on their first floor, and get very boisterous. The second suite was just as poorly cleaned, and the overfull garbage can under the kitchenette sink hadn't been emptied after the prior guests left! Housekeeping had to be called twice before eventually taking care of this. In twenty-five-plus years of travelling in numerous places in the US and around the world, we've only encountered bad accommodations 6 or 7 times. The hotel is a very busy one serving many guests. We should have been much more insistent about getting a more satisfactory room. The lobby was nice and bright. I don't know if the entire rest of the hotel needs refurbishing, but the rooms we experienced certainly did. The bathrooms were quite worn-looking.

upon arrival the room we were given was still in use but front desk corrected with better room and complinetary chocolates. the room was kinda shabby, wall paper coming off wall, missing floor molding, etc.... but overall the room was fine- - good shower! the hotel is situated centrally so was easy to get in and out from parking garage, but don't take any large scale car in there! overall, the hotel is fine, good value for money and location- too busy to get to pool area.

The rooms are small, old and they are not very clean. One morning we woke up and found the drain in the shower had dirt came out of it. However after noticing the front desk upon that matter they cleaned it almost right away. Seems like it had happened before. The best things of the hotel were its location and free trolley rides around Waikiki.

Location, internet and view. No wireless internet. This hotel is in a great location for the Waikiki area, so that you can walk to a lot of places like the beach, the mall, aquarium and the zoo. Also there are a lot of restaurants around that area to choose from.
