Hotel needs an update but it was clean. And I got what I paid for. Hotel staff is very helpful. Parking is tough, steep ramps and narrow stalls. Pricey fee to park but I found out it is like that all over Waikiki. The parking staff always waved aloha and even offered directions so it made my stay nicer. I am thinking I would stay here again.

This was my 9th trip to Waikiki. The last 3 years I've stayed at the Ohana Malia, staying alone I've always felt very safe at this hotel. The hotel staff has always been friendly and helpful. It's too bad the rooms on the canal side have so much street noise. The ocean side rooms are much quieter. If you don't want to spend the money staying at a hotel on the beach the Ohana Malia is great.

Clean. Too expensive for the type of hotel. The hotel was clean, but appeared very old. Sheets were stained. Also had to pay $58 additional for third person and they had to sleep on very uncomfortable pull out sofa. The suite that was to hold more than 2 people had only one be and the couch. The room for two peolpe had two double beds. Would never stay there again.

Neat, tidy, satisfactory. Only three blocks from Waikiki beach, good view of the hills as well. Would recommend booking rooms on the higher levels of the hotel as the streets can be noisy at all hours of the night. Good Value for money. Location close to good shopping as well.

I have stayed at the Ohana Malia 3 times this year and will stay there every trip I go on to Oahu. I have always had a good room, great maid service, and the desk workers are always nice and helpful. I like the location very much. Close to everything you need. Can't wait to go back!!! Very satified! ALOHA......

Rack rate was half of the conference hotels, and an easy 1 block walk to conference. Staff was quite friendly and helpful. No pool, and on site dining limited to IHOP, but within easy walking distance of great restaurants. Offered beach towels, and use of Outrigger and other Ohana pools. Hotel is older, but in pretty good shape. I use a wheelchair, and accessibility was good, but shower seat needed minor repair.

Just to sum up the hotel-location is great and there is IHOP downstairs, very convenient. The staff are nice, but the problem is, their wi-fi so call free internet never worked for me in thr morning or night, the room is okay, the TV was making loud noise..and what is the worse is the toilet doens't flush well, maybe it is old. I tried TEN TIMES! They eventually relocated me to different location, cause that totally distroyed my vacation the first night.

the way staff was helpful in getting where we need to be. Room it had a very bad view. The staff was very helpful and nice but room was to small and bed was hard very hard not good if you have a bad back.

My husband and I checked in for one night after a long flight from North Carolina. I had already had a room booked and I even called them the day before we left to see how close they were to the beach. I was told it was 2 blocks, it is more like a mile. Anyway while checking in, the gentleman checking us in asked if we would like to upgrade to an ocean view room for an additional fee. He said the ocean view room usually runs a few hundred a night. This was before we knew the beach was a mile away. Our view was the top of another building and watching their AC fans on the building turn. And the ocean, you could barley see it. Our bed was hard, and the room smelled. So I hope they enjoyed the extra money they got out of me. I learned from that one. Also, having to pay extra to park is stupid too. They sure know how to get your money in Hawaii.

Every staff member was VERY nice and very helpful! We upgraded to a suite because of the size of our party. Got a kitchenette, daily paper, and daily coffee. The fridge helped with night meal leftovers! No on-site pool: The ocean is so close. Even so, you can use pools at nearby Ohana hotels, so it was great. They even give you towels to use for the ocean/pool. The parking lot is a real challenge to get in and out of. */day seems about okay. One warning: the IHOP restaurant associated with the hotel was overpriced and had terrible food.

We were on a cruise, and used this hotel to add a couple of days on each end. The price was pretty good, and we were only a couple of blocks from the beach.

Location to Waikiki beach. Musty smell through guest floors and rooms. The hotel staff was friendly, but that's where the charm stopped. The hotel rooms smelled musty and needed an update badly. Location is great for shopping, but the main beach is about a 10 minute walk. If you have a car, parking is very pricy and the garage is treacherous (steep grades, small spaces, and extremely tight turns).

This hotel needs to update the bathrooms and put a patio chair on the lanai. Elevators are very slow also.

The Hotel staff was very friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. Located in the heart of Waikiki.

Centrally located. Service was awful. I book a non smoking room, the staff gave me a smoking room. It was not until I yell and scream before they care to transfer me, talked to 3 different person.

The hotel is in the heart of Waikiki, walking distance to the beach, can take a bus or trolley to go around anywhere in Honolulu, reasonably priced, clean and well maintained. Expensive and inexpensive restaurants, and few fastfood restaurants nearby. Access to parking lot is no easy- you need to be an expert driver to navigate through the narrow accessway.

Outstanding employee staff for information, needs and friendly staff. Hard beds, cheap carpets and cheap furniture. The TV was commercial sales oriented and very limited selections of programs. The location for price was good, with an excellent staff on duty at all times. The room fixtures need updating and upgrading along with the mattress and carpet. The cleaning personnel did an excellent job each day considering the facilities. I would consider this a 2star at best, considering physical facilities.

It was in a good location for the area. Access to parking to hotel and from hotel lobby. It was an older hotel and the elevator service was not particularly good. Had to wait a long time for the elevators. The area in Waikiki had a lot of one way streets which made getting to the parking garage difficult. Also, getting to the parking garage from the room or lobby made you go from one elevator to another elevator.
