Great location across from beach and shopping

The walls in the room were very dirty, cleaning people knocked on our door when there was ado notdisturbsign, still tried to get in when it was locked. The hotel is nice, the people at the front desk are not very kind and friendly. It felt like they didn't want to be there and we are making them work. Anytime I had questions, almost every girl that helped us was so unkind and frustrated. I had to go outside, different small stores and ask questions and believe me, there was a big difference.

The location is excellent. It is right in the middle of everything - shopping, food, beach

I stayed at the Beachcomber mid December 2008 as the hotel was just finishing up the remodel. Beautiful place! The room- view- and service was outstanding. Even though the pool was not finished and the Jimmy Buffets was not open yet.. I would highly recommend this hotel. Perfect location to everything- shopping across the street- beach a short walk- and outstanding places to eat very close. The front desk was always helpful- answering my questions and making arrangments.

I've stayed in many hotels and even with the remolding taking place this hotel was still clean and functional. The room was large, clean-clean, and mordern. You could not be in a better location. There are resturants, shops, boutiques, fast food chains, a grocery store with souveniers, and a deli, international market with food vendors and shopping right behind the hotel, and a major department store below the hotel. Across the street was The Cheese Cake Factory my favorite. A block passed the CCF was the beach in a safe and comfortable walking distance. Along side the hotel was a flea market. Nearby were nice upscale stores such as Coach, BeBe to name a few. Everything you could want was in walking distance not more than a block or two. This could not be a better location for convenience. The price was about average and competitive for the area.

Location was perfect, close to everything: beach, buses, shopping, food. Free trolley pass from hotel was a good deal. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Room was always clean.

Location to the beach at Waikiki. The TV sound in Jimmy Buffet restaurant wasn't on for NBA. The location was very good, right on Kalakaua Ave in Waikiki next to the International Market Place, right across the street from the beach. The hotel was safe, neat and clean from the lobby to the room. I had a rental car, there is no self parking and valet parking was from $3/30 minutes up to $18/day. I never was able to get the wired internet working (no Wi-Fi in the rooms) but that may have been my laptop. A very nice, well-located property at a very reasonable price.

We stayed at the Ohana Waikiki back in October of 2008 and although it was my first time at this hotel, my boyfriend had stayed with them during previous visits. The hotel was under some renovation work and although that was a concern for me when we booked our reservation, the hotel was wonderful throughout, thier was no noise or inconvenience to us except that the pool was closed but who needed that with the ocean just across he street. The staff was friendly and always readily available, rooms were immaculate and new, the view was spectacular for a hotel being back off the ocean front and best of all, it was centrally located to everything, shopping, dukes, coconut willy's the market place and the ocean. For the comfort, cleanliness, friendlyness and location, you couldn't ask for a nicer or better priced hotel on the island. You get a lot from this hotel and I would recommend it highly for anyone and best of all, it won't break your bank allowing you to enjoy all the other opportunities on the island and then some.

Right from the start the staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in is at 3pm and we arrived around one, the bell hop kept our bags safe the desk made a call to have our room cleaned so we could check in. Once we checked in out bags were brought up to our room for us. The room was very clean to me looked brand new and for every day of our saty our room was cleaned and we were given fresh towels. The staff had an answer for all our questions wheather it be about the buses or if they new of a certain bar in the area. I would recomend everyone going to hawaii to stay here. why waste your money on a beach front property when you can save your money and walk there in less than a minute. Great Hotel

This is our third time to stay at the Beachcomber. While not fancy, it serves as a central point to explore everything on foot. We even walked to Diamond Head. Close to everything. City Bus is just steps away. Buy tour tickets to every part of the Island, there at the tour desk. Walk to the beach and swim in the warm water. Go to the Zoo or Aquarium or just shop. Resurants or ever type close. Pool was a little cold for me.

This hotel sits in the center of the main strip of Waikiki where all the action is at. Downstairs you will find fine dining and easy shopping centers for all. It was a great place to stay at.

Good location. Refrigerator keep turning off when there is no movement in the room. refrigerator is not cold. Expect to get a room with bad view if you get there. During checking in, the front desk will ask you if you are willing to pay extra about $60-$80 per night to get an upgraded room. I did not pay extra money, so they give me a room with bad view. Very noisy if you open the window door. The noise are from the machine (big fan, air conditioner, etc.) on the roof top of another building. You will only get a good view room if you're willing to pay extra money. The only other thing that I did not like about this hotel was the refrigerator inside the room. The refrigerator keeps turning off when there is no movement in the room. You have to push a green button inside the refrigerator every hour if you want it to keep running. Refrigerator is not cold.

The room was very clean, staff was very friendly. Our room was loud in the evening, the noise came from the restaurant with the dinner-show. The hotel was OK for the money. The breakfast-buffet isn't too expensive.

contsruction across the street was very noisey. rooms should be labeled partial ocean view not ocean view

It was very nice and the food and staff at Jimmy Buffets' Restaurant were excellent. It was right in walking distance to all tours, shops, malls and restaurants.
