This was my first trip to Hilton Head SC. It wasn't what I have always heard. The amount of money we paid for the villa we had was NOT worth it. The appliances in the kitchen were almost broken and extremely old. I was told the kitchen would be fully stocked, it was not. There was rust on the knives, silver ware, the one pan was completely scratched up, the one pot was the same, no baking sheets, I wouldn't used the chopping boards if you paid me. I've paid less for condos and had much nicer and fully equipped units. If I were the Real Estate company that represented the unit that I stayed in, I would be embarrassed to even have rented it out.

I was a little nervous about booking this villa because I didn't know the exact location but it couldn't have worked out better. We booked a value villa, which is normally across the street from the beach with no view of the ocean but we were upgraded to a property on the beach, so we had a great view. The villa wasn't anything real fancy but it was more than we expected compared to the price we paid. It was clean and had everything we needed since we cooked our breakfasts and lunches there. The staff at the RH Realty and Rentals check-in office were very helpful. A man and woman behind the desk showed us where to find some local seafood restaurants and gave us information on bike rentals and things to do on our trip. This was only a weekend getaway for us, but we are already planning for a longer trip next time. I definitely recommend this vacation rental company and Value Villas.

The condo was beyond nasty! We left after we checked in. Being on the beach was nice; however, we could not tolerate the disgust and filth.

We loved the location of the condo they put us in. We were in Shipyard. We were close to Coligny Plaza and all sorts of restaurants. Best location in HH. They upgraded us from a 1BR to a 2BR at check in. We loved it! Plenty of room for 2 families. The only problem we had was when we wanted to use the jacuzzi you had to have a key to turn it on and we did not have one. We called the office and the guy was not very helpful an had no idea how to turn it on either. We asked a neighbor for help. Need to make sure that their renters have a key to use the jacuzzi, but we still loved it. We had a deck and a screened porch and a very relaxing atmosphere. Will stay there again for sure!

This was our first time booking online and we were somewhat apprehensive. But once we arrived we realized that our worries had been wasted. At check-in, William was more than willing to accomodate our needs. Our Shorewood unit 135 was beyond our expectations. It was a lovely 3 bedroom, 3 bath villa with a perfect view of the courtyard, pool and beach. Our walk to the pool and beach was about 2 minutes (depending on the amount of STUFF you were carrying). An outdoor shower and gated walkway to the beach were easily accessible. The pool was very clean and not crowded. Lounge chairs as well as umbrellad tables were available. After traveling to other beaches in SC, Forest Beach was a breathe of sunshine! The beach was soft and CLEAN! Lifeguards were on duty and had a multitude of items/ activities that could be rented. We brought our own canopy to shelter from the hot August sun. Our kids had a blast in the ocean and on the sand. There was ample parking under cover as well as in the outside lot. Coligny Plaza was within walking distance. A great place to shop or simply walk around on any evening. There was nightly entertainment for all ages. It is the south and most shops close at 9:00pm. Restaurants stayed open later. We were so impressed with the entire experience that we are already looking to book our vacation for next year!

The bed types that we booked were not available when we checked in. When we called after getting into unit we were told that a king and two queens were not available with the rental company at all. Ended up with one queen, two twins and a broken pull out couch. Dishwasher door was broken and soap dispenser would not shut. Curtains did not cover windows. Carpet was duct taped to the floor. No tv in second bedroom. Wiring on TV's was imposible to navigate. Had to jiggle cable connections to make picture clear. Property was very nice outside of the room. Pool was clean and ocean was wonderful.

We knew we were taking a risk at booking a villa sight unseen, but it was so worth it! We checked in at the realty office on Friday afternoon and we were assigned to unit 310 at Shorewood. It was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath oceanfront condo, with a beautiful view of the ocean from the living room and the master bedroom. Our condo was "oceanfront" and we were literally only a few yards away from the beautiful well maintained beach. We walked on the beach several times a day, relaxed with a book on the beach and by the pool, cooked almost all of our own meals in the condo's pleasant kitchen and generally lazed around, which is exactly what we came to do. We did bring our bikes and took a nice ride around the area one afternoon. I would definitely recommend Hilton Head and these villas to families as well as couples. The beach was full of children having fun in the sand, riding the waves, flying kites and building sand castles. The pool was also very family friendly and so so clean! With a condo, you do not have to eat out every night, which can get expensive. We can't wait to go back to Hilton Head next year and we will definitely book with this realty service again!

I reserved the villa for three days including the labor day. We arrive late and we found the key with difficulties in a box near the office. We were with 4 children , when we arrive in the villa the sofa was made with old sheet. It was so dirty in the villa and so old. the picture on the website doesn't correspond to the place. The most important problem was the air conditionned. Impossible to stop. We call the office but nobody was there. In the bathroom, on the floor a ventilation was rusted. In the bathroom, the bath-tub was so dirty that it is impossible to take a shower. In the room it smells so bad. We decided to leave in the morning and go back to our house so frustated. I hope ONLINE TRAVEL WEBSITE will refund my trip now .

The location is beautiful right on the beach. However, unit 1101 at the villamere located in Palmetto Dunes is worse than a one star, but your paying for a 3-4 star. RH Realty rental management was not helpful with the problems of the unit and very rude. Once they get your money, it was "tough luck." I was told by the "manager" that maybe the plumbing problem of a clogged/overflowing toilet was caused by the people before me and this wasn't their problem to consider compensating me for. We plunged it twice, but on the third day, even the maintenance man had a problem trying to unclog it after it overflowed. We didn't want to leave a stranger in our room (I had a lap top and personal things with no safe in the unit), while trying to get the plumbing taken care of so our vacation time was spent dealing with the maintenance of the unit that I was paying a 4 star price for. The place has a kitchen, but if there is any food in it, beware of unwanted guest in the morning eating it. Don't walk around the unit thinking you have privacy, because the vertical blinds are broken and at night everyone from the pool can see into your unit. Beware of going out on the balcony because the handle on the door is broken so you may not beable to close it. Forget trying to hang our clothes in the closet because the door tracks are so corroded that they don't open. And one last thing, be sure to wear a mask when you take a shower due to the health issue of all the mildrew you'll be breathing in. Other than that, location, location, location. It does have a beautiful view! RH Realty would not do anything about the other issues, including the mildrew and roach problem. I asked for some sort of compensation and I was told they would give me a discount credit next time I used them with my next stay. I told them to keep it.
