Overall this hotel was great. There were two maintenance issues (minor) that were handled quickly. The restaurant/bar is a waste. Even with the coupons provided it was a rip off. Especially with all of the really good restaurants around I would avoid it.

It was beautifully landscaped, and the condo was convenient. The room needed a deep cleaning. We stayed in a two bedroom suite. Our suite had a washer and dryer which was very convenient. The furnishings were attractive, and the kitchen was supplied with most dishes. The grounds were gorgeous, and the view of the ocean was great. The beach is not a swimming beach. It has many rocks. We drove to Miami Beach for the day to have a sandy beach. There is not WiFi access in the rooms, but there was free WiFi in the office area. The pool was clean, but it was plain. This was disappointing since the other areas were beautifully landscaped. The shallow area was still over my 4-year-olds head.

An excellent resort that offered clean, spacious and comfortable accommodation. The surrounding area is also extremely pleasant, only downside on our visit was that the café was being worked on but was nearing completion ahead of Christmas 2008.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo was clean and spacious. The grounds are very well kept, all the staff was so pleasant. The kids loved the pool and hot tub and the atmosphere was family-friendly. I would say our condo wasn't all that comfortable--the living space was all tile and there was just one sofa with plastic covering and a table and chairs to sit at. Luckily, we didn't spend much time sitting inside!

I had stayed here back in 2000. I had read some of the reviews and was not sure what to expect. The property was great in 2000. I thought I would take the chance, I knew it was safe and had such a great time the first time. I thought everything about the property is great. The beds are a little hard, kids would have prefered a TV in spare room and floors did need to be swept. But I think for the price and safety it is well worth it. I had read other reveiws about toliet paper so I was sure to bring some. (There was plenty under the sink) There is a Winn Dixie less than a mile south of the resort. I did visit the local $1 store before leaving home and got stuff like throw away salt&pepper, baggies, aluminum foil, and paper products. But with the store so close, I would just get it there the next time. We had 6 people in our family, 2 adults, 3 teenage boys and a 3 yrs old. Plenty of space! The pool was heated, wifi down by the office and plenty of tables down below to sit at. We had gone for the seafood festival in Marathon, kind of far ride back and forth, but wanted to be safe and know where I was going since the family was coming. I also think its great to be on the northern end of the keys when your trying to get home on Sunday..have been stuck in long traffic on Sunday afternoon trying to get home. Will definatley stay again. Would love to go for a week and be able to enjoy all of the resort! We do not own a boat, did not use those facilities. Staff Great!

knew we wouldn't arrive until 8 or 9 pm, so called about 3 to confirm reservation for 2 bedroom suite. arrived to find they had given our room away and put us in a one bedroom with a pull out sofa that had a huge hole in it as the frame support was broken. balcony was too small. the next night they moved us to a 2 bedroom but view of ocean was minimal. started calling for towels, washcloths, and coffee sweetener about 9 am on last day and they finally brought them after the third call at about 1050, and check out is 11. staff was unsympathetic to our issues. would not stay again simply because staff and service was poor.

The staff was helpful and polite throughout our visit. They were a real asset when my daughter had a medical problem and I needed to get some advice on local medical services. The suite was spotless with large rooms and had all the amenities of home. Ocean Pointe is conveniently located near my favorite dive centers. The view off of the balcony every morning was inspiring!

The only inconvenient that I founded was that the hotel need a restaurant or a cafeteria. That when guests get up in the morning can have a good breakfast. The cafe next to the reservation desk is very poor. No everybody like to eat coffee and donuts in the morning, in special a person like me that have diabetes.

We found the room to be generally clean and comfortable. Be aware that these are more like housekeeping cottages -- they had dishes and pans and such but don't provide other things that I've seen in other places. When they clean out the rooms, they remove everything the people before you may have left including things like dishwasher soap, laundry soap, napkins, salt and pepper, etc. Our room had one roll of toilet paper and housekeeping cleans only if you are there for longer than a week. In other words, plan ahead and bring or immediately buy the basics. There is a grocery store nearby so the problem was easy to remedy. The biggest problem we found is that wifi is available only at the restaurant area and not in the rooms.

This is a kid-friendly resort, so it's not real quiet or relaxing at the pool. Even though there are signs prohibiting children from being in the hot tub, I never had a chance to go in because the kids took it over as a kiddie pool. (Also, note to staff: you need to stay on top of the pool towels!! We had to hunt them down every day!!) The beach is not fantastic for swimming, but it's very pretty to look at. There are several buildings spread throughout the complex so depending on which building you are in, you may have a bit of a hike to get to the pool or the beach. I wished there was a bar or restaurant on site, but there is not, only a little snack bar. I was surprised at no daily maid service, but I'm not complaining for the price we paid!! Overall it was very nice, safe, and clean. The views from the rooms are spectacular. The prices were very reasonable. I definitely recommend for families with children.

Nice view, nice location, the staff was friendly and helpful. It's a nice place if you plan on staying for more than a few days so you can take advantage of what the place has to offer (the swimming pool, the bar, etc.)

Was surprisedby amenities. Simple ,a bit dated but functional condo type space. Was dated. Overall this was good value for the Keys. We were surprised it even had a stackable washer and dryer, however not all units have them I don't think cause the units are all privately owned. You have everything you need to set up housekeeping. Units closer to the water have a view. We were put in the unit farthest away so water was at a distance. Overall we would stay again for the value if your not looking for high end posh facilities.

Our rental was 2 bedroom unit, very nice, clean, and extremely comfortable. Well equipped kitchen also. Had trouble finding the check-in building as we arrived after dark - it's way in the back of the complex and hard to find. Security gate was well handled. The pool is beautiful - heated and very clean. Loved it - We had a few maintenance issues - the refrigerator was not working properly but maintenance responded and it was fixed the next day. I would highly recommend this resort and would go back.

I have now stayed twice at Ocean Pointe. First of all, if you want to be near everything and have great views, make sure you book building 4 or 5, otherwise it is quite the hike to the beach, pool, office, etc. These are apts. owned by individuals, so everyone will vary, ask to see a couple when checking in, then decide. My main complaint was in building 5, where the bed was just awful. The owners should really be required to put in decent mattresses if they wish to rent out their unit. You just can't beat the value if you are pinching pennies. Once they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom, and it was huge. The last visit was a one bedroom, lovely, but the bed was horrible. There is no real restaurant here, but you do have a nice free breakfast, juice, coffee, cereals, muffins. This is a gated complex. Very safe. The pool is lovely. The beach is not a swimming beach...dirty seaweed, etc. I would book again because of the value.

This place was absolutely great. Huge property with security staff at the gated entry. Big pool, beach, lounge, wifi signals in the rooms... We had a 2bd room and it was impeccable. Jacuzzi tubs in both rooms, very clean, fully stocked kitchen, flat screen tvs, washer and dryer in room!! Can't say enough about these wonderful Suites. We cannot wait to go back... Definitely going to be a repeat customer!

Very friendly service. Not enough towels in the room. Liked this hotel a lot, I would stay there again.
