Yes, checked into 3 rooms...found hair in the first bed (sheets never changed). Huge hole in the ceiling...glass was filthy with fingerprints...second room smelt of pee...drains were clogged...more hair on the floor...and nobody was willing to do anything to rectify my situation. I spoke with the front desk multiple times and he was completely unwilling to be of any help besides change us to another filthy room. He did offer an upgrade but wanted me to pay extra, in past experiences such discusting situations calls for a free upgrade. THIS HOTEL NEEDS SERIOUS HELP! I have been in the hotel industry for 4 years and am currently the operations manager of a homewood suites in kennesaw ga. This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in my life and feel something should be done to rectify this situation, i simply gave up with the staff...

went for valentines me and my wife ..... we just wanted to getway... hotel was perfect we were not looking for a big fancy hotel ... just somewhere to get away...had fun will return...peace

while we were at the beach we spent alot of time in the pool and on the beach. we visited a few attractions with the kids at had a great meal at the seafare.

The hotel is a dump!!! The air did not work, room stinched of mildew, the elevator took too lon got come and for the doors to open (me and daughter paniced and chose to walk 9 flights of stairs the remainder of the weekend). The bathroom wood work was cracking. We waited 1 hour for towels after 5 calls to the front desk. It is cheap for a reason. The fire alarm went off all night after being pulled by a teen. THEN i had to call and get my friend out because her alarm did not go off in her room. Imagine not seeing her after I made it down with my 13 month old and 6 year old. It is not worth the cheap rate!!! The service guy for the air was nice; the front desk could learn from him.

remote didnt work, sink was clogged, when I asked if there were other rooms available I was told no but the sign on the entranceway said vancancy. sour smell in hotel

would stay again, the only problem I had was the elevators are worn out, but I was told by front desk that they are being replaced this month.

While looking for a place to stay at in S.C. I was sort of weary about this place because it didn't get very good reviews. I know that people have different taste so we decided to give it a try. I am glad that we did because the only thing that we had a problem with was the elevator. They have two and only one was being used and the other was to be up and running in which it was on our last day. So they do have two new elevators now. The staff was good and the security was great. They were always walking around and very aware of everything that was going on. It was nice knowing that there was always somebody looking out for the good of all. We were glad to have our pet with us and it was nice to know that there were other dog lovers around too. The room was very clean and you could not hear anything from other rooms inside your room. This was a great plus when you have a pet with you. And all the rooms are beach front. We will be back. Please don't go on all the reviews that you read cause this is truly a great place to stay. We give it a two tumbs up.

With a pet there's limited oceanfront properties to choose from. For the price it was ok. But, if I were going without a pet, I would not return here. The elevators are terrible. The rooms are very dated and less than clean. At least the balcony view was great! The front desk staff was also very friendly and helpful. All in all, it was OK.

Upon arrival, desk staff pleasant and courteous. We were told that they had brand new elevators (however, one of them never functioned during our visit). The room was an oceanfront room as advertised. Beds were made and did have clean sheets. The television was adequate. The AC worked,but, its thermostat was either on or off (it took getting used to/but, it did function). There was a table and 2 chairs in the room. One of the chairs was seriously broken (for some reason, they had left the chair in the room?). The front door had a dead bolt and a chain lock (our chain lock's latch was damaged and had been torn from the wall). The bathroom had not been adequately cleaned upon arrival. Urine was evident on the toilet seat. There was also a urine odor near the sliding glass door of the room. Enough about the room. If you are looking for an Ocean Front room with below standard conditions/this room would be for you.

We stayed at this hotel this weekend. We wanted to bring our pet and this was one of the only ones that we found on the ocean that would accept pets. The pools were nice, clean, and warm (which has been a problem in the past with other hotels.) Location was great for what we wanted to do. Our problems were that the bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked. The area under/behind the murphy bed was not clean. The elevators were very slow and smelled. The gentleman at check in on Friday was not fully trained and appeared to be by himself. My husband stood in line for about an hour to get our room cards. After we finally got into our room, I stepped out to walk our dog and found a couple trying to get into a room that was already occupied. Back down at the front desk, the employee was more concerned with how it happened than getting the second family into a room.

WE always stay here because they accept our dog. But the elevator hasn't worked in months and months. There is only one elevator working in the entire hotel and I was on the 10th floor and talk about discomfort - waiting 20 minutes anytime I needed to go to the bottom floor. This must be fixed.

This was my first stay at Ocean Park Resort. It was very clean and the staff was helpful most all of the time. I will stay here again as it was quiet and the view from the ninth floor was spectacular !!! Again, we will stay here, hopefully not too long from now.

I was a little worried about staying at a pet friendly motel. I was pleasantly surprised though. There wasn't a "pet odor". The room was clean and the hotel was in a good location. The pool area was really nice. The only complaint I had was our air conditioner was really noisy. I would stay here again even if I didn't have a pet. The price was very reasonable.

After reading some reviews we still gave this Hotel a fair go. Here is what we thought. The lifts were slow and hot and we got stuck twice for about 2mins and then it moved on, but while there in the lift it was very hot and there was water on the floor that should have been wiped up. The carpet outside of the lift was curling and coming up so it could've tripped up someone if they have a disabliity or not have good balance when walking. In our room it was'nt as bad as we had thought it would be in fact it was a suprise. It was clean and the view was great. The only thing I would like to change is that it have a new paint job or perhaps a new wallpapering job as you can see where there have been pictures or mirriors the wall paper has different shades of the color. The fire alarm needs updating it's old. My husband is a fireman and he thought the hotel needs to update all off them. The other two things are the room needs a new stove the eyelets are so loose that it could cause a nasty accident and the other the bathtub is too high to get into if you have some sort of haddicape which I do.The beds were on the firm side it would be great if this hotel would put in one soft bed and have one firm one I found this hotel to be a comfortable hotel and we were very happy there and so was our dog which the staff were nice to. They the staff were also very nice to us and were very helpful to anything we asked of them

Very badly needed a relaxing vacation- didn't get it here. Hotel accepts pets-didnt realize this and would have never stayed there (not that I dont love animals-its that the staff here doesnt clean well behind them). First thing we saw when we opened the door was a rusted refrigerator and a carpet that was burned with a iron. Furniture and room in severe need of upgrade. Got a shock when I plugged my laptop into a broken receptacle. This is obviously a party hotel for kids and pets. One elevator is broken causing long waits for the one that does work. We were on 5th floor and opted to use the steps a lot. In our bathroom was blood running down the wall in the area of the waste basket. Waited for our entire trip to see if the maid staff might be tempted to clean it when they emptied the wastbasket---never happened.

Room smelled like a ashtray. Elevators where really slow and than 1 broke. Lower parking deck leaked really bad on the cars when it rained. Inside pool was cloudy the whole time we where there.The people who was cleaning our room didnt understand english.

I loved the room, it was one of the best that I have stayed in. the staff was great and they were cleaning all the time. Parking was good with the little parking deck on the bottom and there was more parking across the street. The only thing that could have been any better was the elevators, they only had one that was working at the time. The reason being is that they are fixing the place up, and the city made a mistake when they where inspecting the place, but it should be up and running soon. The rooms were very clean and the view was great.

In major need of renovation. It may be too late for that. The one bedroom that we had was very smelly and the air condition unit leaked. It smelled really musky and horrible. The bottom of the door that lead to the living area was beat up very badly. Wallpaper puling off of the wall. The living room needed a new couch. I didn't even sit on the couch during my stay. The bathroom floor looked dirty. One of the hand towels was dirty. The only good thing was the view of the ocean from the balcony and that they accept pets. But now I can see why they accept pets. I did hear that they were in the process of renovating, wish we had been there after they did. I do have to say I do not know if all of the rooms are as bad as the one we had but I was glad to go home after that experience.

This experience was not good. The rooms were nothing like what is shown on the web site. They were old and run down. We had a leak in our ceiling and they never would fix it. It was over the foot of the bed. Only one elevator working. No change machine in the laundry room. The air conditioner in the bedroom half worked. It was not a good experience.

The hotel staff was fine; however, the room was completely outdated. The beds were hard as a brick. The bathroom was outdated. The carpet smelled. The elevator was very slow, and the parking was even worse.
