I hated this hotel. The room was small and smelly. The furniture was old and not clean. You couldn't sit on it. The beds were horrible and old. The only good thing was the proximity to the beaCh. I would have rather driven to the beach. I will never book a room on orbitz again!!!

Very good location, but the hotel's age showed (1950's ?)

I travel almost every week and t a very large degree, give people the benefit of the doubt. I have NEVER wrote a review before. In this case however, I felt compelled to warn travelers. The hotel is old, dirty, loud and the people are rude. Wait until you meet X. To be specific, the bathroom looked like it was redone in the 60's. My sink faucet didn't work. This was when I first checked in. They said someone would be right up the next morning. Nothing. I had to call down again. The front desk is famous for cutting you off and saying they will call someone. Then they must go back to reading the paper. I could here the guy inthe next room snoring all night. Thank goodness they started pounding and sawing at 9:00 in the morning ALL DAY. At least that stopped the snoring guy. The maid came to do the room after 3:00. I asked if they could have her come sooner and they said she was on her way. She must have been coming by covered wagon because it took her another 90 minutes to show up. The front desk will tell you anything to get you off the phone. BTW, she hardly cleaned the room. Plastic cups were still there, no extra toilet papaer, tissues we not supplied. UGHHHHHHHHHHHH STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!.

When my husband and I arrived at the hotel it was very dingy and the people wandering around were creepy and sleezy looking. The guy behind the counter gave us a key to our room which really was a physical key, not one of those card keys. We got to the elevator which ran slow and shard it with a lady and her medium sized dog. We got to our floor which smelled like mold and must and found our room which looked like it had been broken into before. We were terrified but still went in and were so disgusted by the room. The beds looked dirty and the mattresses were sunken in. There was a small couch in the room that was missing coushins and a lamp with a ripped shade. The room looked like something out of a horror film. My husband and I were hesitant to touch anything because we were afraid of getting bugs or something gross on us. I told my husband I couldn't stay there and he agreed. Even if we did stay we did not feel our belongings were safe when we left the room. We tried to call a few different popular hotel chains, but had no luck. We ended up checking out the same day and took the first flight we could home. Although the pictures look really nice on the website, it is not true! Do not stay in this hotel, it is a nightmare. Spend a little more and go somewhere that you know is good.

Awful, awful, awful. Multiple bugs coming out of cabinets in the bathroom. Bed sheets were dirty (I layered up clothing to sleep in them so my skin wouldn't touch). Floor was dirty. It was just gross (and I am not usually picky about where I stay). The positive fact of it being on the beach is outweighed by the negative fact that you are only allowed on their part of the beach if you rent a chair (no towels or personal chairs allowed). I absolutely would not stay here again. Very inconvenient in regards to having restaurants nearby. Luggage hold was not secure (they just had us stick our luggage in the back room...very unprofessional). Thank God we were only booked here for 1 night.

When we first arrived, we didn't know we had to pay valet parking. Room was dirty. Only good thing about this hotel, that we were given a better room with an ocean view, due to the room before not being clean, and that it is located right on the beach. We never had the opportunity to go in the pool because it was very dirty. It looked like they are under renovations and we had no knoledge of that.

Had to be moved to 3 different rooms, the rooms are really bad. My friend had the penthouse for a night. It was not worth that price at all. The staff was very rude. Did not like having to pay for chairs to use on the beach. As far as their beach is concerned, it was nice and we enjoyed that aspect of the hotel. They did have a tiki bar right on the beach which was nice, but was expensive ($9 for a margarita). Would definitely not recommend this hotel, unless u don't care how your rooms are of how the staff treats you.

Being a young couple without a car it was impossible to find nearby attractions. Two restaurants in the vicinity, one apart of the hotel. Our check-in took about 45 minutes give or take because of a miscommunication between travel sites and the hotel. The elevators were slow, the hotel was hot, everything was overpriced from taxi rides to the food to the gift shop where my boyfriend and I were overwhelmed by the owner. You couldn't use personal belongings on the beach unless it was your own towel, and the chairs were less than half of what the towels were being sold for. There was noise between the construction downstairs in the hotel to the moving of furniture upstairs and around us. Pets should never be allowed on trips because we had a barking dog half of the trip on our floor. The bathroom was extremely small, as well as the shower. There wasn't a pad or pen in the hotel room, nor did the TV guide channel work. We were only given one roll of toilet paper and found two bugs in our room. However we did enjoy the pool and the tiki bar.

We stayed here at the end of October and after reading some reviews I was a little nervous but when we got there we were pleasantly surprised, we got upgraded to a one bedroom suite and the room was beautiful and clean, it was a city view balcony, but we enjoyed that view because it overloooked the water way. We had no problems with our room and the staff was very nice. It seems they are doing renovations and that didnt bother us at all, they are just trying to make the hotel nice. We loved the Tiki Bar it was very fun, you could eat and drink there. the drinks were a little bit expensive but what do you expect when you go to a vacation spot. Over all we loved it and plan on coming back this year for our next vacation.

great location. the beach is beautiful. however, the hotel is careless, not very clean, there are no lights in pool area during nights, in rooms there are missing lights, no batteries for the tv remote control, walls are dirty in some areas. if you want to be in pool area be prepared to get a sunstroke because there is only one umbrella for guest or visitors and at beach is prohibited to take your own beach umbrella or beach chairs. You have to rent them at a high cost (if they last) because there were no more umbrellas available for rent.

Stayed there in June 2008, Sept. 2008, and have already booked for June 2009. Our first trip, they made a mistake on our room, and quickly upgraded us to a wonderful suite with a beautiful city view without question. The staff at the Tiki bar, for the most part, were very friendly. Food at the cafe was tasteful and resonable. The atmosphere was that of just enjoying the beautiful beach, hang out, and mingle with the locals who frequent the Tiki bar. My second trip, again they gave me a smaller room that what I expected, and they immediately changed it to a suite with an ocean view (same rate). The bed in that room wasn't fantastic, but it was tolerable. The front office was helpful. The staff was not 100% friendly, there was maybe one guy who was borderline rude/distant, but that was quickly corrected once I mentioned it to another staff member. Its a beautiful, old hotel; and yes there are some things that need attention, but in talking to staff, they are things that are being worked on. The location is ideal. The pool area is huge and clean. Drinks aren't any more expensive than any other "vacation beach property". My friends and I have traveled to New York, Chicago, San Diego, Mexico, Vegas, Orleans and this hotel rates "up there". The owner hangs around in jeans & t-shirt, very nice and friendly. Wants to know how you're enjoying the property, and its just a comfortable place. Its not pretentious, its laid back, and that is what we were looking for. 2 priorities for us was a hotel right on the beach, and the largest Tiki bar. You've got both at the Ocean Manor.

I went down to Florida to pick up a car that I had purchases via E-Bay and decided to stay a couple days. Found a good price on line and It looked good on the web site. When you first pull up everything looks fine, the lobby is attractive. At check in they let you know that they have a resort fee. It was not a lot be unexpected. They also charge 7.00 for parking even if you self park. Once you are on your floor you are hit with a musty smell and carpets that have seen better days. Once entering the room the bathroom door was off of the track and the shower did not have hot water. The up side was the pool was very nice and the beach was beautiful. For the price it was fine, but if I had paid the posted prices at the hotel I would not have been happy

This hotel had to move us 3 times because the first 2 rooms were really bad. The third room was only a little better, air didn't work right, hole in ceiling in bathroom, staff was very rude acted like we were a bother to them.

Somehow either one- Orbitz or the hotel lost our registration. We had to call Orbitz twice to have them fax the information to the hotel. The representative at the hotel first said they didn't have any rooms available, but when they received the confirmation from Orbitz all the sudden they found a room for us. The room had an extremely bad cigarette smell, so bad we had to move to anohter room. The beds in the new room had bugs on it and the sheets were smelly also. That comforter had not been washed for a few days. The dishwahser was also broken. The toilet had a leak, we informed the representative at the hotel immediately and they never fixed it. So good luck to the next guests!

We searched the internet for months before deciding on this place. What a MISTAKE! The rooms you view on their web site are NOT what you are going to get. We were given room 703 (city view) and when we got off the elevator, we knew we were in trouble. Doors were unsafe and didnt close properly. No dead bolt, just the swinging handle over the ball type lock. Room had no safe, no hangers, no ironing board, no towels, no wash cloths, no shampoo, no coffee maker, no ICE mahcines!!!. Only one pillow per bed. NO piollowtop mattress, and the headboard was not attached to the bed so every time you moved it banged up against the wall. Our first (of about 15) call down was for pillows, towels and wash cloths. After going to dinner (offsite) and returning 4 hours later, we still had no pillows, towels or wash cloths. Called downstairs again, and were told to come down to desk to get pillows but towels and wash cloths are being "washed". Asked for ice and was directed into the basement, nasty, dirty, dark and water everywhere. We have never seen such area's of a hotel and it was FILTHY! The next morning, we went floor to floor (only 2 of 4 elevators working) searching for a maids cart. We found one on the 4th floor and swiped towels and wash cloths from there. Asked for a manager SEVERAL times, one was never available. There is not enough space on here for me to tell you all the things wrong with this place. I dont know if I should blame Ocean Manor or Travel website for the deception! We will come back to Florida but will NEVER return to OCEAN MANOR.

The hotel was very smokey smelling in the lobby and in the hallways. Our room 324 had holes in the wall. Other than that we were comfortable. Its on the beach and it has a nice pool with a bar. I read the reviews before I made reservation so I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel. We came in around 1030 pm and check out at 5am. so we didnt stay long. On the way back from the bahamas we checked back in at 1am and this time we got room 320 it had a ocean view and it was nice but the thought of the going back to the smoke hotel made me quiver!!!!

Customer Service was AWFUL!!!! We stayed there 5 nights. We asked to be moved the second day and no one bothered calling us back or moving us. We called down asked for towels and no one brought us any! There were none in the room. The room was old and miscolored furniture and very mismatched. We only seen online pix and thought it would be beautiful! Also asked for pillows never brought us those either only one on each bed. We had to get ice, they told us ice was in the basement. Not a nice place to be in dark and scarry.

The only highlight for this hotel is that it was beachfront, I felt the Bamboo Beach Bar was highly over priced and staff there was rude, The rooms were really small and needed repairs, If you needed ice you had to go to the staff basement, I got a good rate for this hotel but would not stay here again

I was hesitiant about staying here after reading other reviews. This hotel/resort was fantastic. The travel agency never sent my reservations and the hotel accomodated me anyway and took it up with the travel agency. The Tiki Bar is awesome, we didn't leave the resort at all, we just went to the beach each day and then to the bar for drinks and meals. And it was all reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and professional also. We met up with the owner and General Manager and they both listened to our ideas and told us about events that would be taking place there. I would definitely stay here again..... A few downfalls are.... small beach towels and you have to rent the chairs for the beah. We just laid on our towels on the beach, its more comfortable that way anyway. Understand that the hotel is under new ownership and they are updating all of the rooms with time. Most likely if you don't like the quality of your room they will change it for you, they offered that to us but our room was fine.

the rooms r nice, but not too clean for me, special the bed, but great space like an apartment, tv each room, fridge, kitchen, oven, mix, toast, coffe maker, sofas, plates ( no knifes). pool nice, beach nice, but they dont let u to use ur own chair or umbrella, u need to paid unmbrella: 6$ chair : 3$ supermarket around there 2 minutes (winn dixie) u can walk from the hotel, donnats, pizza, cvs, the price is good, they have a tiki bar nice, but the price r little expensive. the rest its ok.
