This hotel was perfectly located, just one block away from all of the night life, the social scenes and the beach is directly across the street. The rooms were a decent size and clean. The only things lacking were a mini-fridge and an ice machine near the rooms, you have to go to the main lobby for ice. The front desk provides beach towels just in case you forgot yours. All in all a nice hotel and in a geat location.

Very good location , right on Ocean Drive , but not in the "extremely happenning area" ; the beach was just accross the street . The furniture was rustic and old-fashioned , but overall it was OK given the price/value ratio . The breakfast was included , but totally unspectacular .

Bed quite comfortable, clean environment and batheroom. Nice suppllies in bathroom.. Restaurant is good, service is a tad unprofessional though. Polite froint desk. Basically a place to sleep, nothing else there. Booking was easy and accomodating, I had to change my dates.

Our family and 8 other families stayed here for 3 days before a cruise. Services included baggage handling, booking a 1-day rental car, providing sight seeing, walking, & bus information, towels for the beach, fax, print, copy, and arranging transportation to the cruise ship. 2-bed room was a bit small and rustic. Location is 1 block from beach and 2 blocks from multitude of restaurants on Ocean.

Overall good hotel, average room, couple of blocks from the action on south beach, great rate for south beach. good hotel staff, a plus was the valet parking, they had own lot. Negatives, comp breakfast was a basket of bread, no microwave, no fridge. Quiet hotel if this is what you are looking for.

If you read all the reviews of similar hotels, I think I really lucked out with this one. Its at the end of South Beach...a little more quiet then the crazier parts, but still a close walk to the fun. Rooms were spotless. A short walk across the street to the beach. Getting to the room was a little funky as I had to walk through the restaurant next door. I didnt need the staff at all, but they were nice in the few times I was at the desk. The bed was a little on the stiff side for me, but still a quiet comfortable stay. I would have no need to stay anywhere else.

The staff members at Ocean Five were very helpful and kind. We had two rooms, the one with two beds was very tight - not much space to move around and only one chair and no table. The room with a king bed was better with two chairs and a small table. Tile floors throughout. Decor is rustic european, and the chairs are not comfortable. Hanging space was minimal in both rooms; not much in either the armoires or the bathroom. This wouldn't be a great hotel for those who like to lounge around the room/hotel itself, but is excellent if you plan to spend most of your time at the beach, sightseeing or just wandering. Continental breakfast with toast, croissant, mini muffin, coffee or tea and a small juice was included. But they also offered hot breakfast items at reasonable prices. Good quality food. Parking at the hotel lot cost $25 per day (ouch!), but then parking in the whole South Beach area is painful.

Very comfy hotel with free wireless internet access. But the room is a little smaller than I expected.

First of all the location was great, right in the middle of all the South Beach action and is located right across the street from the beach, but was also quiet enough beause of the 5th street location on Ocean Drive. The hotel staff were very helpful, friendly, and informative. The room was a king deluxe room and there was an armoire-type closet with iron and board and it was also equipped with a mini-bar . There was a nice Italian restaurant on site which was good for gourmet pizza or fine dining. There was al fresco dining or you could sit inside. The Barolo restaurant was also the same place to order your free continental breakfast. The service was very friendly here as well. We definitely intend on returning for another visit especially with the low price for an art deco style guest hotel. Very pleased!

Ocean Five Hotel was in a great location; just walking distance from restaurants, shopping, and dining. Also it was across the street from the ocean. It was a very clean hotel and the staff was nice; however the rooms were very small. We had originally gotten a standard room with double beds for 4 ladies. However only 2 of us went on the trip, which turned out to be just right. It was very cramped for 2 women; but may have been just right for a couple. All in all I really enjoyed my trip and my stay at Ocean Five Hotel. I would definitely go back.
