Surin Island : Surin Islands National Park is made up of five islands and was awarded national park status in 1981. Like the Similan Islands, this is another world famous site for snorkeling and scuba diving. It is one and a half hour by boat from Khuraburi. Two of the best and oldest Thai restaurants in Khao Lak are right next door to each other on the main street - Jai Seafood and Khao Lak Seafood. Not far away, you'll also find Tiffy's Cafe, Ruen Mai, Dee Seafood, Sala Thai, Nom's Family Restaurant, and many others - including evening street vendors.
