We unfortunately had awful weather the entire week we were there. The resort is very beautiful and very clean with a very freindly staff. The only bad was it rained so hard, that the all the walkways became very flooded throughout the resort and began to smell like sewerage. But I must say, they did a wonderful job cleaning up and were very prompt to do it.

Perfect setting with no hassles for couple of days off, but like is what you make of it so complainer beware! It might be a little much for softer/ high maintenance travels. We had a great time and will definitely be back. The resort overall was awesome and it was apparent that they are making an investment. The people were helpful and friendly but many don't speak English.

We spent a week at this hotel in April. Room was clean and spacious although we found the bed to be very hard. A/C was pretty cold and didn't seem to adjust which was OK by me but my wife likes it warmer. Resort is well set out and the pools are great places to spend the day, although get up early to put towels out if you want a good spot, and even earlier if you wanted one on the beach. Beach was beautiful with safe swimming. Was disappointed not to have staff taking drink orders at the pool that has been the experience in other resorts, but the bars were all over the place so it wasn't a big deal. Food was great although I am mystified as to their beef restaurant which you have to pay for and reserve in advance. It seems to be they don?t really want customers. I called several times during the afternoon to reserve a table and got no answer, then was finally told it was too late to book for that night. However walking past it around the time we would have gone, it was empty and was when we walked past it again later that night. The entire week we were there I saw 4 people in there. So the good things: Nice situation, beaches and pools great. Food good, staff generally friendly and professional. The bad.. we had a 4 year old and all the shows started too late for him. It would be nice to see something starting around 7:30 to give the younger children and their parents a chance. And NO! We do NOT want a *$%&* timeshare! Avoid the welcome breakfast at all costs!. All in all a good place for families

My family and I just came back from this resort and we had such a wonderful vacation experience. The quality of the food was good, the service excellent, all the employees are very nice, there are plenty of things to do (tennis, golf, swimming, volleyball, kids club, casino, and the nightly shows were awesome). The beach had crystal blue water and the sand is nice and cool plus very clean. I would recommend this resort to all my friends and family. The only thing I didn't like was the lobster from the beach restaurant. They over cook it and come out tough like rubber. Other than that the rest of the restaurants serve good food. I was satistied and will definetely go back again.

we had a wonderful time. the beach was fun but windy. the pool was beautiful. the golf course was very nice some holes were under construction but we were still able to play through. the rooms were clean, the food was good, the shows were fun. the only thing we had a problem with is check in. the room was not ready. we along with many others waited over two hours to get into our room after we arrived.

Excellent value. No LCD TV. Hotel key did not work, over 1 hours to get in. Brand name liquors, food out of this world and the people are the best in the industry by far. The best dollar value by far.

We spent 10 days at the Ocean Blue in January. We took three kids ages 19, 17, 14. All of us had a wonderful time. The resort was not too crowded, there were no long lines and the staff catered to the kids. The pools are beautiful and the beach is very nice and clean. There is plenty to do including games, rock climbing, bowling, boating. The restaurants are typical for this area, but very clean and with a great variety of food. The rooms were quite nice and comfortable. The shows at night were good to excellent. There is a great coffee shop called Mike's cafe for snacks or relaxing after the shows. There is a midnight buffet in the sports bar. They have a new teen lounge with a staff member supervisor which is a good safe place for kids. Some hints are: bring plenty of $1 bills and tip everyone, bring 100 watt bulbs since the lighting in the room is low.The shopping complex on the beach next door is great for souveniers and clothes/jewelry/cigar purchases but you need to bargain. Take anything with you that you might need, the shops in the resort are very expensive for necessities. We had a fantastic time at this resort and would highly recommend it.

On a positive note, we loved the beach. Even though reports said you could not get a seat, we did not have trouble locating one. The staff are very friendly and you can always get a drink at the bar. The kids loved the dirty monkeys which is a chocolate milk drink as well as the frozen virgin drinks. However, we went with 6 families, and everyone but 2 people got sick...I don't think this is a coincidence. By sick, I am talking about intestinal distress and a lot of it, gas, vomiting and lots of loose stools. When we spoke to the front desk, they assured us it was not the water, BUT don't use it in your room or let your kids get the water from the pool in their mouths. I never saw anyone check the levels in the pool all week and by 5pm the pool is so cloudy you could not see! In addition, the food is terrible. I mean barely could eat it. The kids were fine, since they can survive on french fries and pizza, but as an adult going on a 4 star vacation, I had to eat to survive, not out of pleasure. On more than one occasion there were cockroaches in our room and the water pressure in the shower was not enough to get you clean no matter how hard you tried. If you are looking for a bargain, don't expect to eat much, and love the beach, this is the resort for you. Just don't drink the water or foods soaking in it.

Prettiest beach we have ever been on. Pools were great. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Buffet food was good. Staff was very friendly, but moved at their own pace. Rooms were nice sized and close to restaurants, pools and beach.

Very friendly staff, beautiful beach, pools and grounds. Restaurants closed often, poor food choices and very difficult to find. Staff was very friendly, grounds were excellent. Food choices were poor, restuarants were not open each day, they boast, "7 restuarants", but in actuality, there are only a couple open at each time during the day. Many close for private events or just closed for the night. Not totally "all-inclusive", 2 restaurants charged for their meals, so really there are only 5 and not all were open each day. Relaxing pools and beach, very difficult to find, no signs on nearby roads, very poor road conditions.

First room we had was facing a road, fence, and another resort. We asked for another room, which they finally offered, but it was not made up that night (although promised), so walked around for hours then went back to original room to sleep. No additional locks on doors and security walked right in at 11pm without knocking or calling. Very frustrated with this situation for two days. Finally got straightened out, but will not stay there again. Make sure you get the type of room you expect.

Food terrible, water made us all sick, not much to do if you are not in the sun. Beach beautiful, but about it.

Overall the trip was great. Our room was clean & well maintained. Eating at the buffet; drink service was so slow that if you wouldn't get you own drinks you'd never get anything. Also at the beach bar in the morning they wouldn't make mixer drinks. Most of the staff was great with a few exceptions. Food was good not spectacular. My biggest issue was with Coco Tours. The rep not showing up when he was supposed to. (& caused us to miss important info about coconut drinks; to many makes you sick) That & we just wasted 2 hours waiting on him.

Very well-maintained. Nicer than I expected. Amazing value. The food at the Mexican restaurant was bad.

We stayed at Ocean Blue the week before the Christmas. The employees are nice and trying their best. The food at buffet and Dominican restaurant is good. But the food at Mexican restaurant was overcooked. The room is clean but has a musty smell. We stayed there for 6 nights and they didn't clean our room and give us clean towels for 1 day since there were many guests checking in on that day and the maids were overwhelmed. The beach is clean and awesome. There are a bar and a buffet restaurant on beach. We had a lot of fun in Punta Cana and will definitely go back. By the way, the water in pool is cold. It would be nice if they can heat it. Actually, the ocean water is much warmer. We didn't mind since we swam in ocean insteal of the pool.

I have been there for three years,May April, and now March. Weather now was like Aruba very windy. But great sun The ocean water was too rough. I was given a Deluxe Suite at villa 6. The room inside was beautiful, except the jacussi was missing a jet so you couldn't use it.The balcony was facing a alley way, some back street. Than it gets better, One night in the middle of the night some one was banging our door like they were going to dock it dowwn. That was a very scary moment, since our room was all the way at the end near the beach.I was scared atfer that night.

The room was smell moldy and the furniture were outdated and looked like been dry from water. The pool was big and clean but the water was freezing (Thanksgiving week), wasn?t heated and the Jacuzzi was as a part of the big pool with cold water. The beach was perfect! Keep clean. Overall, the people working there are trying, very nice and pleasant. The food wasn?t that that good, except the Italian restaurant. The American restaurant was open only 2 days out of 7 days we were there. In the Dominican Restaurant the food was terrible we wait one hour for the appetizer to come out and after another half an hour wait for the main course ants start walking on the table so that was too much for us. The Caribbean Grill restaurant was always closed because weddings.

We had an amazing time in Punta Cana. We really loved our resort... everything was all inclusive! Unlimited drinks, food, and entertainment... It really was an experience... Another girl and I traveled together and we loved it! My only complaint is that they say the water activities are ALL INCLUSIVE but you have to PAY 45 dollars for a lesson. So not really included... I would deffinitely return.
