My friends and I took this trip to celebrate my 30th birthday! There was a total of 24 of us, and it was a fun-filled excursion. We got a wonderful deal on this resort, however, we quickly found out why. We stood in line for a very long time to check-in; then we had to come back and wait again for the room key b/c the room wasn't ready; then we had to change rooms b/c the A/C didn't work; then the new room didn't have any bath towels or wash cloths; then the front desk argued with us before finally giving us towels. On a positive note, the grounds were well-maintained and quite beautiful. The pool was very nice and relaxing. Access to the beach was convenient. The restaurants and buffets, though most not impressive in taste, were quite clean and generally ran efficiently. After discussing the pros and cons of this resort with my friends, we have come to the conclusion that the disappointing aspects of it may be attributed to the drop of tourism in the area (economical strife at this time). Cutbacks seemed to have occurred in the service staff. This resort has potential, but needs better management. I don't recommend staying here in the near future.

OverallI was happy with the whole experience. Restricted times for pool and towel usage. From the time I arrive to the hotel to the time I left I felt very welcome with the friendly staff. The food and restaurants are great with plenty of choices. Tours are available in the lobby for all the activities you desire.

Very disappointed with facilities, no relaxation areas for over 40's, The food was the same & repeated throughout the various dining areas. The steak house was closed and the other eating areas were doubled up. Fly's around the buffet food which was not in covered cabinets. I actually booked the Grand Oasis Cancun 5* ajoining the Oasis Cancun & had to pay an up-grade supplemen to receive all the facilites. Would not go again.

Only got our rooms 2 hours after 3pm check in time due to poor, disorganised service. Received the room card, was told our room was ready but upon entry, the room was still a disgrace, the memory of the mess etched in our minds the 2 nights we were there. The staff were also rude and kept pestering us to join the time share programme in the guise of presenting us our 'welcome gift'. Please do not promote this hotel as a 'tranquil' and 'relaxing', 'luxury' hotel. It is a haven for teenagers who love to party, not suitable for a family of adults who have travelled from half way across the world and want a truly relaxing holiday.

Overall staying at the Oasis is worth it if you are on a budget and are a young adult, during spring break. I didn't enjoy the fact though that security over here wasn't well prepared to handle the situations that would occur also they should also try and keep those marvel floors clean and dried because I saw a lot of falling coming down those stairs. In the end though the location is okay and the staff should also try to be a little bit more nice and courteous to the guest.

The resort itself was nice to look at. The Pool was often dirty and smelled. The staff were so rude my friends and family felt like we should be accommodating them. Not one person treated us with respect. Every question we asked it was like we were a burden to them. Even the front desk were rude. The food was absolutely horrible I couldn't wait to get to the airport to eat. We asked for someone to come check our AC out since it was not working and we had to call three times just for someone to come. They played with the knob and said there was nothing they could do about it. I have been to Cancun a couple times and they treated us like we should be. nobody smiled except the staff outside cutting the trees. I would never go back to this resort and I highly recommend you not to either.

Had problems getting towels, the room smelled horrible, Air conditioning did not work properly. Room stayed at about 85 degrees. Staff was not consern about our expiernence. Hotel not managed very well.

Food was great except sushi and nice gardens. Spring break central, beach had rocks in surf not good for entering. Good hotel if you could tolerate the noise all night long , food was good , staff was helpful and nice.

I would never stay at Oasis Cancun again. The room was filthy. The maid left two bath towels and no wash cloths, hand towels any time we were there. I finally tracked her down and asked her for some and she ignored me. Our door would not lock or stay shut without slamming it. I did not feel safe. There were so many "out of control" teenagers there running up and down the halls screaming, banging on doors, breaking down doors, throwing tv's from the balcony - there should have been major security and I never felt safe. I have been to Cancun 11 times and will NEVER stay at this hotel again. I will advise everyone to stay away from it also. It was a horrible trip.

I was shocked! SInce this place is all-inclusive, you cannot have any guests from other places. We met some new friends and were stopping by to drop some things off...we all were going to run up to the room. The food was average, the pool was nice, the help was rude,

We drank and ate all we could! That was the only good thing of the hotel. Honestly I got what I paid for. Yes its cheap but for a couple of hundred dollars more I think we would of have a better room in another hotel. We weren't in our room most of the time. One of the only two elevators in Oasis Cancun Fase 1 was broken! It would work but it would close and open it's doors at the lobby. This hotel is old, very old. Also!!! The Check in is at 3:00 PM on the dot, nothing before. I got there at 10:30 AM and they gave us a bracelet to go eat and drink, they took care of our luggage. I went back to check in at 2:53 PM and they said that check in was at 3:00 PM. And they took forever!!!!

The food. Was like walking in to a college dorm. Although the hotel seemed like it had potential the amount of kids just in the lobby yelling, screaming and drunk was a bit depressing.

We just got back from an 8 day Spring Break trip to Cancun (stayed at Oasis Cancun). I was not expecting much because obviously it is Spring Break and there are thousands of drunk college kids running around. I expected the bare essentials...decent service, halfway decent food, freand free drinks. We got none of these. Check-in time was 3:00. We waited in line from 12:30-3:00 and finally made it to the receptionist, only to find out that our room wouldn't be ready until 4:00, even though the sign in front of them said 3:00. The food was horrendous and the same every single day. I ate fajitas every day. If you ate the buffet you're probably still feeling the effects of the awful food and warm milk. They refused to serve you drinks unless you tipped them each time you got a drink. And to top it all off, there were times where they did not even clean our room or bring us towels.

Guys if anyone is going on a romantic vacation, do me the favor and chose another hotel! Its that bad. I had to stay there one night, because they over booked our primary hotel so they send us here. My hunnie and I were standing in the check in line for 2hrs,I had a long flight and then they tell us at the other hotel name Hotetur that they were having problems with the room they were going to give us, so they send us there saying it was a 5star hotel(NOT EVEN). By then i was fustrated, and we demanded to talk to someone to give us a room, they finally did, all late. Oh yeah dont let the architecture and the way its presented fool you. IT looks nice from the front doors, but the rooms are bad, the bed were hard, and the food was fake mexican food, Im mexican i know what really mexican food is. So please guys if you are going there to enjoy, and get away from hell, i dont suggest this place. You'll be walking towards the same doors! Hope this helps!

This is a great value for the money. If you think you are gonna pay 3-star money and get a 5-star hotel, think again. If you want fancy and people waiting on you hand and foot, then spend the extra cash for it. This is a fun hotel, always somethin goin on, good food, for a reasonable price.

They have a huge pool. The hamburgers were practically raw and made me sick. It's hotel for young travelers looking to have a good time.

Ended up with 4 different rooms in two different Oasis Hotels. First room had no working shower and smelled moldy. Second room - woke up to an inch of water on the bedroom floor. Got transferred to another Oasis hotel after a long argument with staff. Even bigger problem - noise. The structure of the building has an open design from lobby to 5th floor--noise is transmitted like a megaphone. Guests primarily young, free booze, not a good combination if you actually want to sleep at night. Food in buffets mediocre at best--restaurant food was much better, but no reservations taken and long lines and waits to get in. We spend far to much time getting issues resolved. On the plus side, the beach was beautiful with waves to body surf in. Pool area was nice, but there were no clean beach towels by 10 a.m. any day we were there. Staff was polite, but it was hard to find anyone who could actually do anything about problems.

my room was oceanfront in more ways than one. the tropical sorm was coming and there were serious down poars. alot of the patrons complained of pools in their room and mines was one. i had so much water in my room that my electriciity went out several times. i had to force the manager to moe my room last the last night. it took along time for that to happen. this hotel seem to be a college break heaven. no good for working professional trying to get a way. phase one had no ac in the dining room. isweated like i was in the gym. by the way the ac in the gym did not work. there not even a fan in there for patrons or staff. there were no fans in phase one international buffet. resteraunts were okay. overall opinion travel online should take this hotel off of there website. a big ripoff. do not stay here.

The Hotel and Resort was not too bad except for the fact there is almost no beach. All of the beach is filled with huge rocks. The huge pool does not make up for it. Also the extra fee we had to pay because we were between 18 and 24 was not fun. Besides that one restaurant gave us bad service one night. Otherwise it was pretty good. Good service, pretty good food, good room.

Grounds and restaurants, all inclusive. Needs updating, gets loud at night. We liked the all-inclusive. Grounds and restaurants were good. The rooms need updating but worked. Young crowd got a little loud at night.
