This was a great trip, especially given the cheap price of the Oasis Palm Beach. Staff is very friendly and hardworking, pool is nice, and the beach/water is very calm and shallow. Food isn't the best I've ever had, but it is fine. Drinks are good.

Good food. They sent me to a different hotel where my video camera was stolen from my own room. Not much to say.

this was our third time to oasis palm and we loved it again!!we traveled with a group of 13 and adults and kids enjoyed it alike. upon checking in we were notified by our friend that he received an upgrade because it was his third time there. when we inquired we found out that was only for certain online travel website customers and we did a different travel website. after a little persuasion, we were granted the upgrade. it allowed us better restaurant choices, a quieter pool and beach area, and great towels w/out needing those pain in the a** towel cards! our friends were put in the new building and loved it. we chose to stay in the old building due to the fact they have balconys, and that is a must for us!! the new building did have much nicer rooms and the windows opened, but no balcony. because we had the black braclets now, we had tons of towels and ate frequently at the new steak-house. great food! a buffet for side dishes and then the staff comes by the table with skewers of beef, pork, and chicken_yum! we also had more bars to use and they carry top shelf liquor. the hotel is very clean and the staff is awesome! we left the maid a few bucks every a.m. and we had plenty of fresh towels!! we love mexico and the people and the oasis is a great way to enjoy on a budget!!

good family place. clean, comfortable. Older, but maintained. They needed a card reader at the beach entrance to the wing we were in - it was locked at night. would be nice if they took dinner reservations instead of just having to stand in line. good food in the restaurants.

my husband and i went for our anniversary we stayed 5 nights and 6 days! we loved it! i am reading these reveiws and wondering if these people stayed at the same hotel that we did!! the pool was awsome the food was decent. of course it is different it is mexico!!! you can't expect to have all the same things you would at home! but for us it was fabulous! as far as the maid and towels and the room we did not have any problems at all. we did leave the maid at least a dollar or two every morning, we ultilized the room safe however we left our luggage out and we never had a problem! and if you speak a little bit of spanish it wows everyone you meet. the bars were wonderful we found one bartender at the outside bar his name is x and he was awesome!!! the first night we were there it was still crowded from spring break and we had a double bed room but we asked for a upgrade and a king bed and they moved us the very next morning to the room below the presidential suite and it was fabulous! we will be returning next year same hotel and same time!! big ups to oasis palm beach

All of the bad reviews I read I was very apprehensive with going here. First off, let me start by telling a little bit of my story. I have a timeshare down there, Casa Maya. It's right down the street from the Oasis, so I knew the location well. Casa Maya called me 1 week before I was suppose to go down there (along with 22 other people) and said they had a fire and they were canceling our week. I had 4 days to find a hotel for 22 people. (Essentially 5 families with teenagers). For the price we got on Cheap Tickets this was our best deal. If you have teenagers (that eat you out of house and home) this is the place for you. Is the food the best? No. But it's fine for your teenagers. There is a decent breakfast buffet that is the same every morning. Fruit bar, cereal bar, design your own omelet, eggs, sausage toast and some other Mexican breakfast stuff (refried beans, chips etc..) The lunch buffet sort of the same thing everyday as well, sandwich bar, fruit, some grilled stuff (Chicken and Fish one day, Grilled pork and fish the next) stuff like that. There is always the Hamburger and Hot Dog beach grill that I loved along with the kids. Dinner was setup as the following. Buffet dinner which was ok. Basically if you went to college the Buffet's were just like going to your college buffet. Not great, just food. The Sushi place was fantastic. We went there two different nights. You have to wait in line but that's not a big deal, you put your room number in as a reservation, they tell you an hour wait, but you know that going in, and then you go to a bar and have cocktails while you wait. Good times. And the food is FANTASTIC. There is another fancy dinner place that does "authentic" mexican food. That was good also but you have to put your name in early to get a reservation. The grounds were very nice. Beach is what I expected. Remember, my timeshare is right down the street so it's the same thing. Very shallow (2 feet deep) sandbar with no waves (well boats make smal

The pool. Ongoing construction. Ok, not great. Only 2 buffet restaurants were part of the all inclusive package. 1st night new were placed in a room overlooking major construction, hotel reluctantly let us change rooms. There were unexpected additional charges.

3 days there were no towels in our room after the room was cleaned. the days we did have towels, there was only one for 3 of us. and it took 1 hour to get towels to us. a bartender actually told us that she would not make a drink for us. not that she couldn't but that she wouldn't. the recreation staff was actually very good and friendly, i suppose you get what you pay for but this was even worse than i thought it could be.

I traveled to Cancun with my 2 yr. old 3/14/09 for six days. Upon check-in, I found the room to be very old and rundown (but clean). There was no bathtub, which makes it hard with a small child. The pool is not kid friendly. The kids club pool was sufficient, but the other travelers in my party didn't want to hang at the kids club. Kids club didn't have a secured environment (any Joe can walk in off the street) and the supervision was, well, let's just say the kids really weren't being supervised. Although my son was too young to leave there anyway, I wouldn't even if he were a bigger kid. Not safe at all! The food was horrendous and the water was $3 per bottle - tap water was bad! There was no milk for my son the entire week. We either had goats milk or powdered milk (both very sweet, thick and warm). Not sure what it was. Yucko! My son got sick one night and I couldn't get help as the guy at the front desk couldn't speak English. Housekeeping was poor - half the time they didn't replace wash cloths/towels. Just took dirty ones and didn't leave any others. My blackberry was supposed to have service there, but it did not, so reaching my husband was difficult. Internet service is $17 per day! Lots of timeshare salespeople bugging you. One night the fire alarm went off, the hallway was filled with smoke (we were on the 6th floor) and had to evacuate. Nobody had information or reassurances...Terrible property!

The hotel was nice, it was clean and the staff were friendly. The maids were super nice. There were 2 pools, one was the party pool with all the drinkers, a DJ constantly blaring and nonstop sunshine. The other pool was in the new addition they just opened and was more in the shade (probably why it wasn't as popular) but therefore quiet. We preferred this one since we're past the college-drinking-party-crowd. But it was nice to have the choice. Our room was good but even though we had an ocean-view room, there was no balcony and the windows didn't even open. So we had to run the air-conditioner 24/7 which wasn't in the best of conditions and was loud. It was sometimes cooler outside our room than inside. So that wasn't the best but other than that it was clean and comfy. The one thing I would warn people about is that the ocean is not really your typical ocean, more like a lagoon. It's part of the ocean but there's a small strip of sand and the ocean never gets past your mid thigh before you're roped off. And because of the side of Cancun you're on, there are NO waves. So for those of us that are beach bunnies and like to body surf and boogie board, this is NOT the place to go. The great thing was that you could get a day pass (all-inclusive included) to one of their other Oasis hotels so we would go to Oasis Cancun for the day which had the "real" ocean with waves and beautiful sand. A little rocky in areas and definitely more packed with people than our hotel, but was worth it for the waves :) Overall, not much to complain about for the price we got.

The hotel was doing repairs from 1 am to 6 am every night of our stay. On our second to last night, they started hammering away at concrete and sawing metal and plastic pipes directly outside our room. When we asked what was happening, we were informed by the workers that they were instructed to work only from 1 AM to 6 AM and that they would not stop. It took numerous complaints to the front desk from 1am to 4am prior to them giving us a new room away from the work. We then had to move all of our belongings to the other hotel/room by ourselves at 4 am aftering having completed a full day excursion and not returning until 11:30 PM. The front desk was complete aware of the work being done and agreed that this should not occur, yet that the workers were ordered to do so by the engineer [...]. We would have liked to have been notified ahead of time about the work being done so that we could have changed to another hotel.

The Beaches are beautiful. It took three days to get a full compliment of towels. A lagoon smell is everywhere. The whole place is unfortunately designed in such a way to be noisy. The club membership sales people are everywhere ready for a hard sell. The groundskeepers work hard to keep the pool area clean but by the end of the day the pool has drink cups floating all over. Look someplace else for a bargain if you are old enough to know better...leave it for the spring break kids.

This is the worst trip I've taken. They stole my wedding ring from my room and the hotel said that they are not responsible for items out of safe box. Nothing was clean. Only 2 towels per day! Unfriendly staff [...] sub director doesn't know anything about customer service. You check in at 11:00 and don't get room or bags till 4pm. Hotel was full !! I had no a/c in my room and because hotel was full they change me to a different room next day 1:00pm and I had to it myself. You had to wait at least 1 1/2 to eat! No activities, the show are not family friendly. No hot water!! Please don't go to any of the OASIS RESORT they are all the same!!!

We were satisfied with our stay, safety was not a concern and the food was not as bad as others made it sound. We had alot of fun, location was good for calm waters and the staff was friendly and helpful. The major downfall to the trip was that they advertise a fitness room available at the resort, however, upon check-in we were told that there was no fitness room and we would have to take a bus 30 minutes away to another resort. We witnessed 2 security guards supplying a bottle of tequila to underage teens on the beach, this made us uncomfortable because we had knowledge they were underage because the parents were upset that they had been served alcohol that same afternoon in the pool. We would stay at this resort again, only after checking out another resort first.

Everything was really good, but we had some problems with the room service. we book it for 3 persons and they always give us only 2 bath towels, they never gives shampoo a soap. I was really happy with the food selection and the service.

First of all we were bumped out of our original hotel the oasis viva because there AC was not working on half the building. They sent us to the oasis palm palm beach which was not an all adult resort but for the inconvinence They were genourous enough to comp us 6 free nights to use within 1 year, so we basically got another vacation for free. Over all the hotel was nice the restaurants were not that good but cancun is such a beautiful place with so much to do that it balanced it's self off the good and the bad.

The hotel was kept clean 24/67. We saw people cleaning at all times of the day/night. The staff was friendly. There was much to do and the beach and resort grounds excellent. The food surpassed our expectations. Only downfall, water pressure while taking a shower or brushing teeth was constantly changing.
