Hotel has a bus that will take you into Cairo but taxi or hotel supported cars are expensive. Hotel has good facilities

there is simply no restaurants etc within waking distance of Oasis hotel -- rather advise interested members to stay somewhere more central ( example museum area ) as pyramids are not really close enough to oasis hotel to justify a long taxi ride to other attractions

due to trafic congestion in Cairo it took almost three hours to get from the airport to the hotel. the quality of food provided was average. For the rest the hotel was very fine and staff of the hotel was very friendly.

Good location for pyramids, not so good for airport (diagonally opposite side of the city). Excellent ambience - lovely rooms and good for relaxing around the swimming pool after a hard day's sightseeing. Has some interconencting rooms that are great for families.

I quite enjoyed staying here. great environment, very spread out. although the rooms were not exceptional they were good enough for the price (through this site). definately would love to stay there again when visiting cairo.yeah the location is a bit far from down town but quite close to pyramids. and they have the best priced limozine service. when i moved to another hotel cause i had booked it as such i continued calling the company at oasis cause they were just unbeatable in price and service. this guy call hammada is super driver.

Male staff not very helpful. Have to pay for gym/sauna. After housekeeping vacuumed our room, I asked to do it myself as it appeared he didn't know what he was doing. Outside food delivery not allowed. Be prepared for the Thursday night party at the pool--incredibly loud until past midnight. About a half-hr shuttle to downtown Cairo. Quiet location. Grounds are beautiful. Room/bathroom spacious.

Very nice grounds, a bit like a resort hotel, good value, helpful staff. Asked for and obtained room some distance from very busy Alexandria Desert Road - walking along this road not recommended. Good on-site restaurant. About 5 km or 10 to 20 minutes by car from nearest pyramids, depending on traffic. Arranged for half-day tour of pyramids, excellent driver, car actually had seatbelts!

You rely on the hotel for transport and they cannot be relied on. Our booked taxi to the airport (day in advance) which we reconfirmed twice was 45 minutes late and we kept being told "1 minute". We came THAT close to missing our flight. Hotel is OK but location/combined with inability for transport makes it a no-no for me.

Me and my wife stayed at the oasis for six nights and didnt want to leave. The hotel rooms are clean and beautifully situated within a huge garden which is wonderful to wake upto, palm trees, fountains very nice. The breakfast buffet was very engoyable also. The staff are freindly and the service is very good. Would recomend to anyone.

A nice hotel that is very reasonably priced. Most (all?) rooms are on the ground floor. It has nice gardens. It is located on the Alexandria Dessert Highway, several kilometers from the pyramids of Giza. A taxi ride from the airport cost me LE85, but I don't know if I paid too much. The hotel provides "taxis" for LE80 to go to the airport. It is supposed to provide free shuttle service from the city center, but I didn't use it. You may want to spend about half day to visit the pyramids and sphinx. So, if you stay more than one day at this hotel, you will spend a lot of LE's on taxis to visit the city center of Cairo. A "taxi" provided by the hotel to go to the pyramids costs LE30, but if you find a taxi on your own on the highway in front of the hotel, you will probably pay only half as much. Nice breakfast.

The hotel had lovely gardens and the facilities were good, very close to the Giza pyramids and not such a drama to get to centre of Cairo, rooms were clean and serviced daily. The Buffet breakfast was very good.We had a very friendly driver from the hotel who was very knowledgable and friendly. We would stay at the Oasis again if we visited Cairo.

The hotel and rooms are gorgeous. Breakfast is excellent. Located very close to the pyramids. I did find some of the staff a bit rude and when ordering food it was almost like we were bothering them - even though there was only 1other table. They will organize taxis from the hotel but the rate is much much higher than what you should be paying.
