Great location and staff were always friendly but unfortunately thats where the good points end. Any time I asked for anything (there were no towels in the room) they would say oh yes we will fix that.. and you wait, and wait and nothing happens - then call bad and get a different person who has no idea whats going on. Had to call 3 times for towels. Also had to request a service 3 days in a row before they actually did it. I was promised an apartment on the phone with air con and when I got there it had none and when I asked why they just kinda didnt answer me and didnt apologise or address that at all. Building has no facilities except a tv room which was full of students studying when we were there so we felt we couldnt actually watch tv anyway. Noise from bars I expected in the location so thats ok. What I didnt expect was this loud whistling noise under my door and in the window - and again they didnt do anything when I complained. But the worst and the reason I would never ever ever return, or recommend this hotel, was when I came in after they serviced the room to find my personal belongings including sensitive electronics, what looked like thrown on the floor. One expensive item had been knocked off the desk (which hadnt even been cleaned) and I am currently considering taking action for compensation from them.

stayed two nights, would not like to stay a week. very handy to everything. No restaurant, but food places handy to hotel and full kitchen in unit. room small but clean and nice. Hallways cold. a good handy place for two or three nights.

Location was perfect. Bed was rock hard and shower was too short for anyone over 5'7"". Housekeeping is not included in the price. Clean towels cost 2 each and you have to pick them up at the desk. Good news - you can get laundry done for 6 a load but don't expect it on time. Parking is hard to get and expensive in the area. Some parking on site, but minimal and with added fees.

Not pleased with $100 fee required to be deposited as surety - made us wonder about quality of guests and trust of management. Very basic facilities for 2 couples. Very small bathroom.

We found the hotel very good and especially the receptionist Melinda, she was so very helpful, obliging,cheerful and dilligent. Travis was also very pleasant. As we were on a hospital appointment, we found the facilities very comfortable.

Very tidy rooms, not much of a view from our side unfortunately, but the staff were very friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. Location was very good too, just a block back from the mall & near plenty of restaurants & clubs.

Nice location within walking distance of main CBD bars and restraunts. No fuss, with courteous staff who proved very helpful.

I do beleive that Oaks has very good price range giving the location. I hope they have same price range in Queensland.

Found 3 bedroom twin share bedrooms extremely small, nowhere to put suitcases. We stayed with 4 adults could not imagine how you would fit 6. Not enough Tea, sugar milk in room, when asked for more in evening was told not available until late next morning, by then we had checked out.

Grest central location close to city centre and transport links. Short walk to many restaurants and cafes. Friendly and helpful front desk service. Don't get excited about the balcony - it's 2m square and shared with an adjoining room. Located close to several night clubs and pubs so don't expect a quiet nights sleep!

Hotel's web site should mention that guest have to pay for parking. Overall, clean room and great location. Happy to stay there again.

The room was wonderfully quiet as well as comfortable; we had no sounds from other guests. We bought a coffee plunger, otherwise all facilities were there. (apartments are unserviced, the rating given has no meaning apart from being fine when we arrived)
