I was expecting more from this hotel being 4 1/2 star. The double studio room had NO natural light at all. Was so dark without the lights on, the one window opened to a walkway for people to access their rooms so we had to close it the whole time, using lighting. The next thing was having no 'privacy' tag, we were unsure when they would come in, and thankfully when we were dressed the maids came in. The bathroom was small, with a miniature sink you can barely wash your hands in, I was splashing it all on the floor from washing my face! No privacy for the toilet either. The radio was faulty and the cable had only a few channels. was definitely expecting more for the rate me and my bf paid.

The location is excellent, but that is all that is good about this place. There are two flights of stairs (5 steps each)in front of the building with no ramp or bell boys, so if you are handicapped or have a lot of luggage, it is difficult to get to the "check-in" lobby. Our studio executive apartment is located on the 7th floor with windows facing the office building across the alley, so you basically can't open the shades. The bathroom is about the size of a cruise ship cabin bathroom, with no bath tub. The sink which measures 8"x14" is tiny but what is worse is there is a glass shelf installed about eight inches above it and it sticks out to cover about half the sink... so it is tough to wash your face and brush your teeth without spilling all over the floor. There is a kitchen area with lots of equipment, but since we were there only two nights, we did not really use it. I would much prefer to have a larger bathroom. The carpet is dingy and well worn. Bed sheets were not changed daily even though they were stained. Both nights, I was awaken at about 4 a.m. by garbage trucks emptying dumpsters full of glass bottles. We asked for a late check out and was told that they cannot do that. It was a busy place indeed as the lobby check in is always packed... but I wonder why, as the price wasn't that cheap either.

The only problem was car parking.... We were charged an extra $20 dollars a night to park, and on the last night the car park was closed..... I can tell you it was very hard to find a car park at 8.00 pm on a Friday night in Melbourne...

A good place to stay, good value seeing most of the other hotels jacked up the prices when the tennis was on... I will stay again

The rooms were lovely and modern and terrific for the price. Besides a bit of a mix up with the number of rooms booked, which was sorted out very quickly, the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great location, nice size apartment, but disappointed with service. Had to wait a long time in restaurant before anybody came along to take our order, wine poured into glass with tasting, apartment was somehow not serviced not once but three times.

i think that it was very noisy at night .I think it was the air conditioning that made all the noise i would of liked a city view not one that looks at the business building next door. Otherwise OK.

Went down for the Australian Tennis Open, so the price was at a premium, however the service and room was adequate and pleasant.

First room was described as having a view of an 'internal garden' this was the passage way to the next room! Therefore we had no natural light or no privacy - luckily they moved us after two days or we would still be asleep.

Very poor shower facilities, soaked complete bathroom
