The Oaks Maestri is very close to the Sydney CBD with transport connections, stores and restaurants nearby. Check-in was fast and easy with staff being very polite and helpful. The actual room is a bit dated and needs a bit of a fix. Generally the room was clean with a few exceptions like the carpet and shower. I wouldn't personally stay here again just because I'm sure there are better options around Sydney.

carpet was quite dirty, but rest was clean. Right downtown had to walk lots of blocks to sights, good location if you are there for mostly shopping. Would recomment staying in The Rocks to see Sydney sights.

We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment which was very spacious, comfortable bed and nice soft blankets. View was not the best but didn't bother us. Great location if you want to walk around the city. Fantastic food in chinatown. Staff were friendly.

The Oaks Maestri is considered a serviced apartment hotel. You have both the advantages of being in a fully equiped apartment as well as having many of the amenities of living in a hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The Hotel is located in Darling Harbor which is one of the centrally located popular touristers spots with many restaurants . It is within walking distance to China Town and other shopping sites and fast food restaurants. Overall, my stay at this hotel was positive.

Although unit was generally clean, the carpet could have done with vacuuming. We didn't get to use the pool or spa due to the number of screaming out of control children. Perhaps, time limits could be placed for children under a certain age.

Arriving on a day of 40deg, the apartment air conditioner did not operate. After some prolonged haggling we were offered another apartment, however this was smaller than our initial one with a tiny kitchen area. The air conditioner in this apartment operated at reduced capacity, however the controls were inoperative. Staff were polite but undermanned at key times like check-in, which led to an observation of numerous irate guests who had been told their rooms were not ready at the 2.00pm chek-in time. Apart from the kitchen, the apartment was spacious, clean, well appointed and not noisy (16th floor). The pool and spa were good although a little crowded on the very hot days. The double bed requested was present in the first apartment but in the replacement was two singles pushed together. The central position and proximity to the station make this a desirable destination, if only the seemingly ever-present service and air-conditioning problems could be corrected.

Air conditioning in room 31 did not work. I informed the front desk and they provided a fan and advised they would arrange a service of the air conditioning the next day. This did not happen. The air conditioner was not repaired during our 5 day stay.

A very spacious studio with balcony and fully equipped kitchen as well as very effecient daily cleaning service. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed 11 days and were more than satisfied.

This was such a special weekend for my Mum and I, and we could not have faulted one thing about the hotel. The service was second to none, the room was spotless and the location was a stones throw from Darling Harbour. We are already planning next years trip and we will stay at the same hotel. Thanks

We arrived at hotel and our room was great but the air con didnt work, so they organised us to move rooms very helpful, however the room we changed too wasn't as good. Would stay again if in Sydney

Very happy with our accommodation. Spacious, very comfortable with everthing provided. Included washing machine, dryer, full sized fridge & fully equiped kitchen. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location only two blocks from the town hall. Easily accessible by train from airport. Excellent value. And very QUIET. I had the added bonus of being upgraded to a one-bedroom apt. even though I'd booked a studio. Facilities included a cd/radio player, and a dvd player. My only complaint is that there was only free-to-air tv (and the channel 2 reception was hopeless); I would have thought that a hotel of such high standard would have had available at least a few satellite tv channels. But overall, highly recommended, and I would definitely stay there again.
