Fabulous inner city location. Good sized rooms also. Service was seemingly missing, not like at a hotel, the staff don't care to make you comfortable and so I would not recommend staying unless you can put up with no service for the good location.

Loved the glass alcoves which gave great views of Brisbane. No balconies so felt safe.

Great location and usually good sized rooms, much bigger than standard hotel size, although this time I had a slightly smaller room and the couch partially covered the door to the bedroom. An older person would have had to unpack in the lounge. After not being able to get a rollaway bed despite a months notice, my sister was given a free room, however she had to call the desk to have the linen changed, was stained and had hair.

The location of this apartment is great, very close to the Queen Street mall and restaurants. However, in our three bed, two bedroom apartment all of the sheets had stains on them and there were no mattress covers - only a sheet directly on the mattress. The bathroom floor was never cleaned in the entire week we stayed and there was a dried up bug wing in the cutlery drawer on arrival. Also, we were requested to vacate the apartment for an hour one evening so that they could show the property to a prospective buyer. We found this to be out of the question seeing as we paid for the evening and had no intention of putting our valuables away and leaving the apartment. They did eventually reschedule the viewing but made it clear that they were unhappy to do so. We would not stay here again. On another matter, we were on the 40th floor and there was a huge window that opened up with no security screen. If you had small children this would be a major safety issue because they could very easily pull up a chair and fall out the window.

Awkward setting with no park available for taxi made life more difficult than need be. Lifts were a problem, especially during peak times. Actual location was good and staff very good.

Sadly, it seemed a great imposition to check-in staff that we were checking in! Our shower floor had two old sticking plasters in the corner and the kitchen utensils were dirty. A disappointment on our holiday.

Water Temp in the shower kept getting too hot to the point of scalding - if you adjusted it by turning the hot down, then it would go cold after a few minutes. The corridors & lift areas had a really bad smell. The Lifts were too slow

Nice apartments, comfortable and close to the city. Toilet had a terrible smell, We stayed New Years eve. Rates were double, and upon arrival, we were told that guest and visitor parking was full, and we had to source our own parking elsewhere, which ended up costing $35 each overnight (x3 groups) at the Myer centre. We then were told they had shortage of passes, and we were only allocated one pass for our group of 3 couples, which means we had to all stay together for our stay. All staff (security, reception afternoon/evening/morning) that I spoke to were not polite, seemed like they were on traineeships because knew nothing about quality service or how to answer our questions. Upon checking out, we didnt get a "Thanks for staying" or "how was your stay", just a "Thats done". I mentioned our concerns of parking both on arrival and early morning, both times they didnt even acknowledge my discontent with the added expense.

This was a great hotel right in the middle of the city. It had an amazing amount of space and the view of the river was fantastic. The only issue I did have was waiting so long for the lift to arrive. Other than that it was great.

The rooms were a little grubby...a colleague also had an apartment and there was hair on the bathroom floor and white marks on the carpet that looked like they were very recent...also melted chocolate on one of the cushions on the lounge.

We stayed in a 2 bed apartment 1 night for a function. Excellent views from top floor. Terrific historical display in the lobby. Students abound - this is an apartment building not a hotel so expect less in facilities. Pool was great. Apartment was well furnished and relatively clean. The odd hidden Cigarette butt and stain from those previously wanting to smoke. Slow lifts. No A/C in hall. Very warm waiting for lift. Very central so try not to take a car. Very reasonable for price.

I have been staying in hotels in Brisbane for ten years and this is teh best deal I have had. It is central, has all the amenities space+ a balcony. The mian thing for me was teh size of the car park. I have been stuck on a few ramps and this one is very big high ceilings and easy access at a reasonable price. I will stay there from then on. I was in 1401 though and the main thing was the construction work on that side went on all night. Colleagues staying on teh otehr side said tehy were not affected so ask for a room without the construction work if you can. restaurants 7-11 cellar door and heaps of other interesting shops nearby. Best deal in town. Highly recommended.Staff were excellent courteous and very helpful.

Upon checking in to oaks river city, we were confronted with a room that was not cleaned, towels everywhere, etc.. then moved to another room, of which was not that much better, had at least been cleaned, but bed pulled up, dirty sheets, body hair...you get the idea, m..., on reception was awesome, understanding, but very embarrased. She right away had us transfered to oaks festival towers. Again, staff very helpful and nice. The room was ok for cleanliness, about 7/10. broken outdoor table,on leg unattached, dryer lint cover falls off so lint goes right thru the unit. mould etc in bathroom, austar only,no free to air, dvd player is a no go, so no cd player either. king size bed was two k/singles put together, but they were not the same, one was newer and higher. room 3208. 1 bedroom room 2005 was great. no pool towels. probably 7/10..maybe
