The hotel was quite new with nice furnishings. However, you do have to go to the building next door (resturant) to register. We were not given our breakfast vouchers during check-in, we had to go back and ask for them. We were given a handicap room when we didn't need one. We did have to wait a long time to get hot water for the shower. We were on the third floor and figured the hot water had to come from the first floor. The room was clean, except for the coffee pot. We're not coffee drinkers, but I did notice there was no coffee in the room. Also, I looked into the coffee pot and noticed it had not been cleaned. The staff was friendly, and the hotel was conveniently located.

The $7.75 off of breakfast or dinner at the diner. The food was great! The reception for the hotel was in the diner. I would recommend this hotel to anyone just passing through Rawlins, WY. It was a cheap, clean place to stay for the night. Since it was just built in 2006, it wasn't outdated like most cheap hotels. It was very quiet and dark, which made it easy to get a great night's rest. The next morning we received $7.75 off of our breakfast at the diner (per adult). The biscuits and gravy were delicious, and it was really quick service. I was worried because I hadn't heard of Oak Tree Inn, but everyone should save their money and skip the Holiday Inn Express. Stay at Oak Tree Inn in Rawlins, WY!

Interior halls, diner, convenient, comfortable. Needmore attention to trecherous icy paths and main door which stayed open in the wind. Comfortable and conveniently located, the Oak tree Inn was a fun stay although in the bitter cold and wind, the biggest achievement you will make is successfully getting from car to main door or main door to diner.
