Oak Tree Inn Hermiston was without exception one of the quietest, easiest to sleep in room I have ever had in a motel. The staff was very helpful. I had not activated my debit card and when it would not work they talked me through what might and might not be the problem. I simply went out and got my husband's whose debit card was activated. This saved us a lot of hassle the rest of the trip. They also were very considerate of the fact that we had a grandbaby with us and were most helpful in getting us settled fast so we could put her to bed. The recliner came in very handy for the middle of the night wake up call in helping to put the baby back to sleep.

We had called a couple weeks ahead for room. We did not arrive to the hotel until 9:30 p.m. and were greeted with the news that our room was not ready yet. The housekeepers were still cleaning. They were totally stripping the bedding. I guess that was a little comforting. Beds were very uncomfortable. We got wakeup call for someone else and also automated call for some truck driver at 4:30 a.m. Not much sleep for us.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is much nicer than the photos show. The only complaint that we had was that the sheets didn't seem to be as clean as we'd have liked them to be. Otherwise, the room was very clean. Very basic ammenities. Fridge & microwave was nice. Also, the cable tv had tons of channels including HBO. Right next to Safeway.
