The room was small, but it served its purpose. It is not on the main drag so that was a huge plus. It's located on street back from main drag so we walked everywhere. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pools were well maintained. Would definetly visit again as long as they didn't increase price.

We've stayed in nicer places for less money. This wasn't a bad place: it was clean and comfortable. But it is dated. It looks okay from a distance, but when you're there, you realize how run-down it is. There wasn't anything wrong in particular--just cracks and chips and general wear and tear--outside and inside. When my wife and I arrived, we sat in the lobby for about 15 minutes before a clerk showed up. He was very friendly and apologized for keeping us waiting. It turns out he was working on one the two elevators, one of which wasn't working. The rooms open to the outside. We were surpised that the only lock besides the doorknob was a deadbolt that locks only from the inside, so when you leave, only the rather wobbly doorknob locks behind you.Our room was relatively clean, but several of the lightbulbs in the sitting area, bedroom, and patio--I'd say about half the bulbs in all--were burned out.The view from our patio was less than spectacular. The building's horseshoe-shaped, so we got a good look at the other side of the building, with a measly little swimming pool below.Fortunately we were only staying the night--just a short weekend trip from nearby Knoxville. We wouldn't want to spend more than a night, though, and I sure wouldn't recommend paying 100 a night. The bulding may be located in downtown Gatlinburg, but it's off the beaten path, a location that's good for avoiding passing crowds, but bad for walking back to your room at night.Overall, this was a decent place to spend the night, but I wouldn't bring a family or spend more than a few days here.

We stayed here for a trade show with our two small children and my parents. The suites are a great size and a great price. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, (although the sofa bed left a bit to be desired, best to put the kids there - they don't seem to notice). The location was excellent: it was a block away from the main road, so you didn't get the traffic sounds, but was very close in walking distance to many main attractions, including restaurants. Our boys loved the indoor pool, too. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond what I have seen at most hotels. We had a great time and I made reservations for the trade show next year before we left. I was very pleased with the rates as well.
