My friend and I decided to stay here for 4 days, 3 nights... and our stay turned out to be pretty good. The only bad thing was that we didn't rent a car, and the only things close to us were a small mall, Friendly's, a grocery store, and a couple other restaurants. The other thing was the bus/shuttle to take us to the Disney Parks was over an hour late because it got into a small accident, and a AAA van picked us up, which was not a very good experience. Other than that the pool was nice, the staff was great, and we had an awesome time. I would suggest going here to a friend, just I suggest renting a car! Taxi's are wayyyy too expensive!

I recentely spent a few days of my vacation there at the resort. I had stayed there on a previous visit and had really liked what I saw. This time I was very upset. I asked for a two bedroom and was only acommodated in a one bedroom, a little too small for two adults and two children. The washer did not work. THe handle came off in your hands. THe counter top was peeling. Usually when someone want you to buy into and idea or place they must first impress you so that you will be totally sold out. Unfortunately the first impression was not very good. Housekeeping did a good job of supplying fresh towels on a daily basis, but I didn't like that the just come in without knocking first. My daughter was caught in her undies because no one knocked before they cam in. Location is very good. Close to everything especially the parks and other recreational place. I just wish that to stay here you must buy a time share or you are not welcome back for the next three years.

The hotel location was not in the best part of town. When we arrived we had to wait two hours for a room to be cleaned, we checked in well after 5 P.M. The room was nothing like the photos shown on Orbitz. Not new, old, and used looking, with very cheap amenities. Formica kitchen tops, nothing granite. The sales staff, because this is a time-share type of property, were pushy, and rude. I could not get any help from the guest service girls, one in particular, she directed me to the front desk for answers from a busy clerk who was checking in new clients. It was unbelievable that she could not get up to help me, being that her job was guest services. I would not recommend, nor return to this location. The bathtub backed up and leaked. Getting sufficient towels was difficult, we got them every other day. This is NOT a place to stay at to enjoy yourself!!! It's true, you do get what you pay for!!!

I have read other reviews about bugs but we didnt see any in our room. That is a good thing. Housekeeping did a great job. Pool was clean. Tiki bar was overpriced and drinks were not strong. But otherwise.. it was a nice stay and would go there again. Oh and wasnt too fond of the sale pitch to do a 90 min tour of the resort in hopes that you would get a time share that you had to pay 20 bucks for. NOT COOL.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo in building 4 on the first floor. At times we could hear kids upstairs jumping around at night and loud walking sounds throughout the day. Rooms were very spacious. Master bedroom had a large walk-in closet. Overall it felt like the unit had alot of mileage on it. Full kitchen with lots of utensils. Dish washing powder, manual dish detergent, sponge with rough side for cleaning dishes included. (You'll be surprised alot of "fancier" resorts don't include that sponge like Orange Lake.) Rusty refrigerator was a turn-off. Kitchen looked like it needs a full remodel. Basketball court was nice so was tennis court did not use pool but that looked nice also.

This trip was for myself and 7 yr old dghtr. I read every review available re Oak Plantation and only saw a handful of "nit-pickers". I have never been more pleased in every way with accomodations than we were here. I paid 61.00 per night through travel online and stayed for 6 days. I also got daily housekeeping. Based on reviews I requested an upstairs AUGUSTA unit w/ a lake view. I was not able to get the lake view but had no problem or disappoinment with my view (overlooked the general store). The upstairs Augusta units have a dining room which protrudes out from the unit with windows on all 3 sides - very charming! I believe that I had a renovated unit (room 302) and the furnishings and decor were very pleasing. This unit had it's own private stairwell - you enter your own private door and then have a carpeted stairway which leads to your living room. Very, very clean -every appliance worked. The grounds are well maintained - pools are beautiful. The kids activities are held out by the pool and occur about every 2 hours with a very minimal cost, usually about 2. There were 3 resident peacocks which were no nuisance at all - squirells ran around - very peaceful and relaxing. Not one word was mentioned to us about participating in timeshare presentations. I would return here again and again, EVEN if I didn't get a renovated room - for what we got, it was an incredible bargain - Can't wait to go back!

Stayed five days, staff was wonderful and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Dishwasher didn't work properly, but staff said not to worry they would take care of the dishes. Refrigerator was spotless. Both bathrooms were good sized. We will go back.

We stayed at Oak plantation from June 28th to July 5th. We choose a one bedroom villa. My family and I enjoyed our stay there. The one bedroom villa had one kingsize bed and a sofa bed. I requested an extra roller bed. The villa is very spacious. It is clean but has an old look. Has a dishwasher which is old but works. Has a washer and drier (very useful). For the price we paid I feel we got a very good deal. It is a nice quiet location. Has a pond with fountains, beautiful maintained grounds and peacocks roaming the area. The pool is very big. Staff are very helpful. A few bad things though; I feel management should monitor who uses the pool and the pool towels.

Staying at this facility was a great decision and we would do it again. It would have been nice to have received a map showing the closest grocery, (as the on-site store is VERY expensive) Walmart and most direct route to the parks. The facilities were clean and fairly well maintained; staff was helpful, and housekeeping kept us well supplied with tissue, towels and dishwashing detergent. It was great having a washer/dryer in the Villa--we could have taken 1/2 the clothes! The hot tub should NOT be missed! Perfect temperature! The pool area is well designed and accessible to all units. Would recommend for family travel!

The villa was ok, good location, however, when I got there the light in the master bedroom was broken, called the front desk and no one ever came to fix it. The shower curtain was too short in the bathroom so we had to put towels down or the bathroom would get flooded. The second bedroom didnt even have a shower curtain. The remotes for the tv's did not work. The carpet was stained everywhere. The blinds were bent and broken so you could see straight into the room. The airconditioning banged and rattled loudly. There were peacocks and ducks all over the place that made noise early in the morning, couldnt sleep late. Everytime we tried to purchase tix for the parks, we were told the contact person just left. There was no soap/spunge to wash our dishes. Overall, conditions were not up to par. Would not return there.

This hotel offered free shuttles to the major theme parks (Universal Studios, Sea World and Disney). My rental car stayed parked for 4 days because the shuttle took me wherever I needed to go and picked me up when I wanted. It would have been nicer if the resort wasn't so old and didn't have thin walls. The bathrooms could use some updating, but I won't let that stop me from coming back again.

OMG it was just fantastic!!! It was located near everything just 20 to 30 minutes from all attractions. Far enough to feel like home but close enough to all the fun!!!!!!1
