wow what a place.. the stench in the rooms and hallways were unBEARable the office staff were ok could be more pleasant and friendly location was good considering the shuttle location near an ABS was great for evening entertainment but could use more updating to bring it up to todays standards.

The staff took great care of us and ironed out any problems.

Convenient to public transportation. Staff did nothing to alleviate problems. The room is clean and most adequate. The hotel is located near public transportation. The staff never did bring a refrigerator to the room over our 2-night stay. We phoned for a pick up at the train station and were told the shuttle was on its way. After 20 minutes (the hotel is 5 minutes away from the train station), no shuttle came. We phoned again and said it would be 5 minutes. After 15 minutes and no shuttle, we had to walk in the cold of night back to the hotel.

A good hotel for the budget traveler, but be warned this hotel does not offer a pick-up service, and if you do use the airport phone a shuttle will come, but from another Howard Johnson hotel, and they will not take you to the Ohare Garden, so it will cost you cab fare, which is more than from the airport. Will also cost $51 for a 1 week rail pass to get to and from Manhattan (30 min trip).

We had to change rooms multiple times. Faulty AC, smelly room (we saw mold in the bathroom). Because of cheap rate, the hotel was full, but just one staff was working (we were told that the rest were laid off). There was a note on the front desk that said the internet was unavailable until further notice. The pool had no water. The elevator was not working. There was trash all around different parts of the day. The hotel is not maintained at all. The blanket had holes on them. The mirror in the bathroom was broken. It is cheap for a reason.

It was off the expressway and easy to find. The sign that says you get a percent off the food at the restaurant is incorrect. I truly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was very nicely priced and made it easy to get to the hall where my nephew was being married. I would definitely stay here again.

Very close to the El train which takes about 30 minutes to the Chicago Loop. There is free car parking at the hotel also. The staff were really helpful. This is much cheaper than the downtown hotels, and was perfect for what we wanted. if you expect luxury this isnt the hotel for you, but if your happy with a comfortable room and working facilities, then book it!

This hotel was stuffy, dirty and the rooms were terrible. The AC units didn't work well and the overall stench in the hallways was pretty bad. The staff, however, was really friendly and the price was pretty good. I guess we got what we paid for.

The staff was friendly & helpful. The rooms were missing a lot of things that you normally expect to have. There was no clock in the room, no remote control for the TV, only one pillow on the bed, no ice bucket or glasses to drink from, no mini fridge, etc. I paid for a room that was supposed to have a king sized bed, but the bed ended up being a regular double bed. The complimentary breakfast consisted of coffee with powdered cream & store bought donuts. This was very disappointing. The Bistro that was supposed to be part of the hotel had been closed since April. Also, the internet was not available. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good location - appreciated the shuttle from and to the airport - good value with the inclusion of a continental breakfast in the price. Large rooms with all amenities.

I will start with the good things: The bed in my room was nice and soft, the location was good, the restaraunt was nice, and the shuttle service was a very nice bonus (they go to the airport and also within a 3 mile radius.) Now for the bad: When I first arrived at the hotel the outside was questionable, it looked a little run down but the lobby was nice so I had some somewhat high hopes. However, once I began the journey to my room my hopes began to fade. It appeared to be quite run down and not as clean as I would have desired. To get to my room on the 2nd floor I had to go down steps, so I am not sure what the purpose of sending me up the elevator was. My room did not have a number plate outside the door, it was written on the wall with an ink pen. The room was not very clean looking either. The chain lock was broken and there was small pieces of the back side of the door missing or broken. There was not a hair dryer in the bathroom. The shower was okay but not the best. The safe in the room did not work either. The staff was not as curteous as I would have expected, when I checked out they didn't even ask how my stay was, maybe becuase they knew what my response was going to be. Anyway, it has its good aspects but I am not sure I will stay here again. I picked this hotel because of the cost, shuttle service, and location but next time I will probably spend more money and get something nicer.

I chose this hotel because it advertized free breakfast buffet bar. I was very upset when the breakfast was just a plate of old donuts. There was no internet in the rooms and wireless internet access was only available in the lobby. The rooms were ok but the lobby and corridors were filthy. The public access areas were wet after storms and the Bistro was closed as of last month. I was so upset that I chose this hotel over Holiday Inn for a mere $4 cheaper rate. Please do not book here.

Price was affordable for us to be able to enjoy the theatre experience and not feel broke financially. Wish there were more eating establishments in the area.

The hotel is nice, in proximity to the Mariot and Holiday Inn and others, nice staff, well furished rooms and there is a resturant which serves acceptable meels. there is a little white shuttle to/from the airport avery half an houre ... it is beter too call the hotel and ask them for the shuttle... the room is spacious, it has a fridge, TV with cable, WiFi, comfortable bed, and a nice desk... The hotel needs to do something regarding the shower ( it needs new sets and jet power... i had to hold the shower head and try to hang it somewhere on the wall ...) otherwise the bathroom is nice withe plenty of twoels.... I would think that they could improve the toilet tissue rollls quality and I recommend that you get you own. Another thing is the noise at night -it is from outside- raillway very close and the road to, so they need to double glaze their windows or you will not have a good sleep... how impportant this is !!! Hooters is nextdoor, enjoy your chicken wings and guiness...there is also a big shopping store "Dominics" on the other side of the road ... so you don't have to worry about shopping before you go to the hotel. I hope this review is helpful to both customers and the hotel staff.

this hotel should be removed from this website, they didnt have any admenties that i was told, no open clean pool, no wireless internet, no microwave or refridgator, customer service was very rude, i requested a rollaway and didnt receieve one for 7hrs, or towels even after I called twice about them, I was a very upset customer, their shuttle didnt have proper license plates and got pulled over and couldnt pick me from the train station.

Nice room. Conveniently located. Wi-Fi did not work. Decent hotel. Room comfortable, but with paper-thin walls. Can hear neighbours clearly, which is inconvenient and uncomfortable. About average restaurant. Helpful staff. Conveniently located. Wi-Fi did not work andI could not access the internet.

We needed to go to the convention centre and this hotel was close and they provide free shuttle service (24 hours) to and from the convention centre. The front desk staff was not overly friendly (except xxx who was very friendly) but not bad either. I would definitely stay here again if there is a need to go to the convention centre or downtown as they provide free shuttle to the train stations.

Overall, not too bad. Great shuttle service to/from airport. Had to constantly ask for more washcloths and towels daily. "Breakfast" consisted of donuts and coffee only. On-site restaurant was closed off this past April leaving H00ters next door as the closest place to eat. Some desk staff seemed a little rude at times, but still helpful. Positive - we arrived early and they did allow us in a cleaned room about an hour early which was nice. Overall about a 2.25 (out of 5) star rating. considering other options in the area, not too bad of bang for the buck, but a few more options for b-fast would have been nice. I checked I would recommend this place only on the basis that it is reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. If you can afford it, look elsewhere to stay.
