This was a quick birthday retreat with the wife to keep us from driving to far back home from Pizza Hut Park. The hotel was cool, tad quirky, and fun. The overall vibe was an interesting mix of NYC (exposed concrete floors, pipes & funky furniture) and north Texas (corporate headquarters, horses and mall). The location is great if you want to need to be by EDS, Pepsi, JC Penny or any off the other major corps in the neighborhood. Big mall is close....tons of shopping and good restuarants. Dr Pepper park and Pizza Hut park are both right around the corner as well. The bar/club downstairs was a lot of fun (Sat...live dj) and opens up to a sweet pool outdoor area.

this hotel was awesome! They have a wonderful fire out by the pool, I had the best salad I've had in years here, the service staff is attentive, the chairs are so flippin comfortable, and the beds welcome you to a fabulous evening of sleep. Plus... Free internet!! that other reviewer must be old and disgruntled. This hotel rocks!

Nylo Plano was a great location for a weekend get-a-way. We chose it for it's fabulous design and eco friendly features. What a pleasant space to spend some time. Loved the library and lounge area. Sipping on a drink, playing dominoes while listening to a great band in the courtyard. Staff was very friendly, curtious and service oriented. Being smoke free was a positive draw for us. The only negitive comments would be that the large shower head would not work and only one bathrobe was left in our room. We didn't take robes since they were furnished. Loved all the added extras w/ the room which meant we could travel much lighter. We are looking forward to a return visit. We will certainly look for Nylo in all regions when we travel. The IKEA store was within a few miles so we didn't leave the immeadiate area. Great restaurants in close travel.

Modern. Were not able to use facilities due to parties planned and hotel does not accommodate families. Hotel would suit a young couple well due to its modern amenities.

This was the worst experience at a hotel I have ever had for the following reasons: - it's very LOUD - lying manager who doesn't care about the customers or their comfort - terrible customer service - drunk guest making lots of noise in hallways that can be heard very loudly in your room - tiny regular rooms - too much salt in their food -- could kill somebody with that much sodium in the eggs - uncomfortable rooms -- concrete floors (ouch!) and steel - unfinished feeling, not just a "loft" but outright, they are making a killing for leaving simple details out - not enough lighting in the rooms - poor placement -- too far to airport - dirty (they think they can get away not cleaning the place thoroughly because it is new) - not friendly to families - no option for refrigerator in room - bugs I wouldn't wish this hotel on my worst enemy. And beware if you have a complaint or don't stay the night -- the late night staff and managers do not care!!! You will not be refunded your money and you will get no apology.

My husband and I needed a little time away and really enjoyed our stay at the Nylo Hotel. It has an amazing atmosphere and the price was increadible. We will be staying there again!

Loved the uniqueness of the hotel and the trendiness. If you stay on a week-end there is music in the restaurant area. We stayed on the 3rd floor and could hear the music until 1:30 in the morning. It is a very nice place to stay. Would definitely stay there again. Very accommodating.

The design and furnishings. Parking! Please don't stay in this hotel on a weekend night if you are a business traveler. The club and pool area are partying loudly until the wee hours of the morning. We were staying the night of a local concert and were not as concerned about the noise, which was audible in our room on the fourth floor, but we did run into one gentleman who was absolutely livid because he could not sleep. It is a neat place and we liked it but it is definitely more for a weekend out on the town and I don't care how much rest I get type of place.

I enjoyed the break from the ordinary hotel experience. Limited closet space & very limited drawer space. The hotel was very modern and had a funky vibe to it. It was a pleasant surprise from the run of the mill hotel. There is very limited closet space and only 1 small drawer, so if you are planning on staying several days, this might not be the hotel for you.

This hotel was perfect in every way. The only thig that was missing was a Jacuzzi. The Nylo was perfect. I couldn't stop say, somebody finally put some thought into the process. Well done.

Friday and Saturday nights the nightclub music is way too loud. The hotel was great during the weeknights. On Friday and Saturday nights the night club is very popular, music is so loud it vibrates your bed and the bass comes through your pillow. The parking lot had police directing traffic and some of us guests had to park across the street. I had my room moved on Saturday Night because the music plays until 2:00 AM. The nightclub is great, but if that's not your scene you will be very irritated come bed time. Ask for a room as far from the night club as you can get if you want a good nights sleep.

Nice rooms. Restaurant converts to night club Friday and Saturday. Nice hotel. But they convert the restaurant into a night club on Friday and Saturday nights. Could not sleep due to the music levels. Was never informed of this by the staff when we checked in. Very disappointing, never offered to do anything to make up for this.

The patio outside during the day. Hotel needs to warn guests of nightclub situation on weekeends. Obviously, this is the place to hangout on weekends in Plano. The DJ on Friday night was twice as loud as necessary. We couldn't sleep until the music went off at 2a.m. Our bed was vibrating from the music, five stories up. Saturday was even worse. There was some event at the hotel - it took 30 minutes just to enter our hotel parking lot. Our car was valeted. Although management apologized afterwards, they clearly know that this is happening every weekend and they make no attempt to forewarn guests or allow you to choose a quieter room upfront.

Liked the overall hotel very cool. However it turns into a nightclub on Friday and Saturdays and if you are not into that kind of thing it is very very loud and very hard to even get into the parking lot. Other than that is was nice.

Decor. Very loud disco! The hotel was great. Loved the decor and rooms were fun. The rooms are small so really only meant for two people. The have a bar/disco on the first floor that goes until 2:AM on Friday and Saturday. If you are planning on sleeping on those nights, go elsewhere.
