The service was fantastic, I was really pampered. Reception was busy and I had to wait, but they really made up for it with service. Every staff member made the effort to say hello, even if they were passing by in the hall. This really made me feel welcome. The room was really nice, bed was really comfortable and slept better than I do at home. Only downside was I have stayed at nicer-looking hotels for even less; decor could have been a little nicer and tv was pretty small, but these were minor and could put up with them for the same day. The location was amazing, and I highly reccomend the cafes off Bourke St Mall, in the alleys right next to the Hotel, which serve some of the most magnifenct coffee and food I have had in a long time. The location more than made up for any disagreements I had with the hotel. Highly reccomended.

Our air con was not working properly, would only work on the highest setting, so we either froze in mid winter , or roasted! After mentioning to the manager on 2 occasions , he said it would be fixed, DAY 3 of or stay!!! Not good enough!! Also the manager of he restautant dropped cutlery on the floor, then set the tables with it!!

This hotel is in an excellent location for shopping being right in the heart of the shopping area, above "Australia on Collins" and oppsite Peter Sheppard's, the best shoe store I know. It is also close to entertainment areas. It is quiet and has an excellent restaurant - Michel's. There are also many cafes in close proximity.

Well located comfortable, Rooms were a good size and clean. Flat screen TV and Cable added a bit extra, ""Pillow Menu"" was a great idea, prefer a rubber pillow. All in all a pleasent experience.

Very nice location. The hotel and facilities are in excellent condition. There should be somewhere a corner where one can have a quiet puff.

Hotel is in excellent location - close to Swanston Street and within easy walk of Bourke Street Mall, Flinders Street Station and Melbourne Park. We keep wanting to stay here and keep coming back even though room rates can be above average.

With its central location and business and tourist clientele, it is surprising that there is no in-room safe. This would be a great addition, to what is a good mid-range hotel.

These days one would expect a small safe in 4 star hotel rooms. This is one area where things could be improved.

The mini bar did not have any pricing details in the room. When I checked out the prices were a bit of a shock. Plus some food items in the room had past their use by date.

Well located hotel on Collins Street only 50 metres from Swanston Street and very close to all Central Melbourne shopping and attractions. Trams outside the door and in Swanston Street enable travellers to connect easily in most directions. Nice quiet hotel despite its central location. Staff were friendly and attentive. I will stay here again when next in Melbourne.

we have stayed at this hotel for years but the last visit we were a bit disappointed with customer service and friendliness. the food from the room service menu was not good. but I will probably stay again because the position is excellent. also I am sure I booked the room that included breakfast but the hotel said it wasnt included.
