Downtown location, modern and clean. Downtown location, so finding parking is difficult. Great location right in the middle of downtown. Next to the sky city bar/video arcade/laser tag/bowling/etc entertainment center. Near all the downtown restaurants, bars, cafe's, and shops. Modern and clean. Highly recommended. The only downside is that you have to pay for valet parking, there is no free self-parking.

If you've got a car you'll need to pay $10 to Novotel to park it at the Sky City carpark next door as there's no parking around there. Otherwise $15 for valet parking.... Nice place to stay otherwise - great brekkie - make your own waffels

To the person in charge of customer services I write this note to complain about several service issues I had while staying one night 24/05/08 They are as follows. 1/ Valet parking. Paid $15 for this service. When I handed my car keys to the attendant I asked if I could have my car at 7.30pm to go to the function that I was in Hamilton to attend. He replied,just ring reception and we will get it from the garage. At 7.20 I called reception and was told they would bring the car out now. We went down at app 7.35 pm and waited 20 minutes outside and still no car. I then inquired at the desk. Sorry we must have forgot to get your car!They then gave me the keys and told me how to get to the parking garage and that it was number 11 spot.I found the car only to find that it was almost jammed in by another car parked behind it. Got out by manouvering and reversing. Went to function,returned at app 12.pm Gave keys to reception.Car was still parked at front entrance at 6.30am. 2/ No room service menu in the room.Rang front desk who said that they would send one up. Waited 30 minutes and went down to desk to get it. it took at least 15 minutes to find it. 3/ Lobby bar hours advertised on front window to be 11.00am to 3.00am. Just before midnight when we returned from our function the bar was closed.I stayed sober to drive my wife and family back to your hotel knowing that I could have a drink in the bar at the hotel. I was disappointed.Why advertise bar hours on the front window and then close the bar earlier?

Great that reception was 24hrs, we got in about 1am after travelling, they even valet parked the car at that hour. The 24hr room service also handy. Have stayed before and will stay again.
