First time I have stayed at this hotel and I was generally pleased with the accommodation. Comfortable room and not at all noisy. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Room service was very prompt. Restaurant prices were a little high. A good location for central Glasgow - 5 minute walk to Buchanan Galleries.

Wow! At last my faith in someone providing a professional service is restored! They were great: warm, welcoming, efficient, professional, friendly without being over familiar, I could go on...The room was large, the bed and the pillows comfy. Worth the extra £20 more than the cheap hotel. This is now my Glasgow hotel

the Hotel is really just a glorified Travel Lodge it was clean.. well we did have to ask for the spare pillows to be changed as one had a bad stain on it and neither of them had a pillow slip on , the cushions on the bed had seen better days, we paid a high rate but got no breakfast, they wanted £13 each per breakfast, on the other hand you could have a light breakfast in the Bar which we opted for we got scrambled egg and two rashers of microwaved bacon along with two slices of toast we had to ask for the butter, then of course we had to pay for the coffee too, it is a handy Hotel for the shops but we wouldn't go back we could have got the Travel Lodge for half the price all with the same facilities.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed it so it was good to be able to get back in for a night. All was good no complaints of any kind.

Less than exciting view from the back - into an office block, but room clean, spacious and nicely furnished including a comfortable sofa. Unusual bath/shower 'pod' a little caravan-like and separate loo a little claustrophobic. However everything I needed; clean, comfortable and quiet with friendly staff. The food was a little modern for my taste but no complaints. Didn't try the breakfast. I was here on business but the hotel is ideally situated for those wanting to explore the town and surroundings. Sauchiehall Street is a step away and bus routes are close by.

First time I've stayed there and probably the last - service in the bar ranged from indifferent in the younger staff to overly familiar in one older female staff member. I had arranged for a party of 5 to join me and had told the bar staff of this in advance. We still had to wait almost 5 minutes for someone to appear to take our orders and a simple request for a diet Coke and a vodka and Coke took almost 10 minutes to complete as the bar had run out of stock - on a Friday night. The rooms are looking 'tired' and the air conditioning was less than average, even at its highest cold setting.

A very ordinary hotel for the price. The 'fitness centre' consisted of only 5 machines...you have been warned!

excellent hotel normally costs £140 per room so got a bargain. only two mins from main bars and shops. the fact you dont have to leave until 5pm on the sunday is fantastic. the only problem was the parking. the hotel website implies that there is parking it is very limited i ended up parking outside police station. it wasnt what i expected but ended up fine as you dont have to pay from saturday til monday morning. will definatly be staying here again

The room and bathroom was great. But don't bother with the room service breakfast pretty over priced at £15 and the cooked elements where pretty poor. Ideal position.

The hotel was reasonable although feeling not as good as other Novotels I have stayed in so a bit disappointing. The worst thing was having a room with an adjoining door which made it feel as though I was sharing a room with somebody. Any noise was easily heard through the door so privacy was limited. There was also noise until quite late - after midnight - from parties in the hotel so that was disturbing. Otherwise the breakfast was good and the staff helpful. Location also fine. Overall though given the choice in Glasgow I'd be inclined to go elsewhere next time.
